It’s like you were reading my mind! This looks great, I can’t wait to test drive. I virtually live in CODA but mostly do tasks outside, but I’ll have to try this out
You are the best by far creating CODA templates, even better than the own Coda creators video’s! I did a really very similar way to handle my productivity to do list! But I got now some ideas to add from yours! Like the buttons to filter! Good idea! Very good content! Keep in this way! Do something like that, but to notify on due dates by slack, email, sms, to not forget a task never! And another video for recurrent tasks. 👌👍 Just waiting that Coda get the speed of Notion, on a windows app and also in a mobile app! 😢
Maybe add an optional icon mapping for the type. It's easier to associate an icon (emoji?) type with a task then a color - at least in my mind. I tried testing out both, and my brain was much faster at recognizing the task type by icon instead of color. Nice template!

Great Video and Template. @TheCodaGuy I dont think in the video if you show the functionality to bring back an archived list? Is that accurate? Can you confirm you are able to bring back archives individually or by the bulk in which they were archvied? It only seemed to be a text in the canvas area . Also if Archived Task with SubTasks. Will the Subtasks be brought back of the Main Task?
This might not be possible but I’m a fan off adding my tasks to my google calendar. Do you know if that’s possible using coda? Awesome videos btw - thanks.
Very possible Paul! You could spin it up in less than 15 min - Coda has a native google calendar integration so you can easily turn your tasks into calendar information. Codas integrations are called packs - look for the google calendar pack!
Hi Scott, I am new to CODA and found your chanel today. Great work! As I have seen, the buttons you are using here at the top of the table for setting the filters are part of the formula pack. Right? Is it also possible to use buttons to switch the view of a table - meaning I would like to see different sets of columns. As an exampl maybe for contacts I aould like to switch to see the persons name and Business information like Business-phonenumber, email, company and by pressing a buttun switch to see Name + privat data like birthday, hobby, .... I would also like to switch layouts in the detailed view. Is that possible - will I see that with the formula package? Thanks for all your content and support, Marco
how would you deal with having personal tasks, seperate doc for a business, another doc for something else? how would i bring all tasks under one master doc with such possibility to schedule tasks and etc? . sometime i cant mix different business or personal in the same doc.
The only ways to connect documents is via * Coda Webhook pack * Cross-doc pack Both are a bit more on the complex side in terms of creating a unified single task table, but can be done if you need it enough Best case is to do ONE doc, have a select list on the task table where each task is tagged "work" or "personal" and then create VIEWS of that master table filtered down to only show one type of task over another Another way would be to use full-page embeds of a coda doc once those allow full editing. . . . Which is a feature yet to come out, but that will solve a lot of issues
How can I manage to create the button behaviour you have here with the control values? When i click my control button it just changes the filter, but i can't remove the filter by clicking the button again like in the video. How can this be done?
My guess is he is using a canvas select control as the basis for the table filter, and using the buttons to set the value of that canvas control. In the button action he will be using an IF formula to set the value of the control based on its current value. eg. something like .... SetControlValue(select_control, If(select_control.Contains(@Personal), "", @Personal))
Sorry for my bad English ... Very nice template and presentation ! thank...If I buy this template, I can just use it, or is it possible to see how it's made, and modify it ?
The priority cycle button idea - simply amazing. Will apply this to a lot of documents.
That’s really great, I was not expecting much until see the full video. What a patience to build that!

Great ideas! I just personally dislike emojis. Highly dislike them
Very eloquent. Will definitely be trying to rebuild this myself.
Or just purchasing the template . . . Hint hint ;) coda.io/@simpladocs/coda-guy-templates

What an Awsome task list! Is there a way to reoccur the task, eg. Wash your car. Have that repeat in 2 weeks?
thank you for providing great content!
