i allways play stretch 1280x1080
Tenz if u want to play without bars on top and on bottom u should try this method with 1600x1080. It works for me,and i have stretched without bars

Imo stretch res should either be integrated into valorant or it should be expressly against the rules. It's so weird that it's in this window of being allowed but being so annoying to use. Like, if it's fine for us to use and so many people WANT to use it, why not just make it a feature for quality of life purposes?

@terror4252 you trade not seeing enemies on the sides of your screen and they moving way faster for you, but they are thicker, also the majority pro players played CSGO before valorant was a thing and in CS we can play stretched so its kinda confortble, idk I'm a CS2 player myself and I can't JUST can't play on native res anymore

copy everything he did. than do alt + enter, than do alt + enter again and you will not have a taskbar anymore and it will be fullscreen with black bars up and down. this seems way better

whats the difference between true stretched and just changing to 4:3 res in valorant settings?
might be a late comment but true stretched actually stretches the character models and everything else ingame. changing to 4:3 ingame only stretches the HUD.

simply google it sensitivity converter, tho i think you would prefer a bit more higher sensi on valorant

Guys little tips u can go to ur Nvidia settings add a new res like 1600x1080 (u can keep the native res just need to add this one) then go back to the game go in settings and change the res to the new u just added while keeping the fullscreen !!

I'd be interested to know how much input latency this adds. Because traditionally playing a windowed game has added latency to the end to end for a while now however I know windows changed how borderless windowed rendered games so its possible said affect applies to windowed games too now.

Tenz is currently playing True Stretch at Champions LAN in Seoul without borders? How is he doing this since I don't think they can use WINEXP?
One more way which worked for me
- Open game, use windowed
- Minimize game, switch monitor display to 4:3
- Switch back to game and do fullscreen.
Now you should have 4:3 res with no window or black space

@@OneKC Yep. Btw when you switch back to fullscreen, the game might go back to native res (1920x1080) but you can change it back to the 4:3 res that you want and it will be stretched for real this time

what settings do you use for headphones? gunshots sound piercing in game for me. Have to lower volume which makes it hard to hear everything else.

Wouldn't an ultrawide or triple monitor setup get you fullscreen ultrawide?
the game is locked to a horizontal fov of 103, so no. u can only alter the aspect ratio to some kind of lower one using a workaround
@@Julian-xz6nu The game gets squashed in 4:3 to keep the 103 FoV, so it would have to stretch to keep it in ultrawide. Your reason is literally why it works.

all u have to do is go into windows taskbar settings and turn on the setting that makes the taskbar auto hide

So whats the difference from changing the settings in windows instead of just in game
Changing settings in-game keeps the FOV fixed to 103. In simple words the enemy size is the same only the background is changed. Changing settings in Windows allows you to stretch the enemy. Hence called true stretch.

You have to go into Nvidia control panel and to desktop size and position and set it to full screen. You have it at Aspect ratio currently and that's why it shows black bars.

you gotta make it so that the window isn't filled up to the bottom/top of the screen (make it like a 1:1 copy of what he showed in 0:52) , i fixed it by hiding the taskbar in windows settings, running it, putting it back on native res, show the taskbar through windows settings again, then do the stretch trick
@@boytaame dude you're goated. that's the trick. you need to make sure that the bottom taskbar is showing after you do the stretch trick. what I did was just lock my taskbar and then do the normal steps and that issue stopped occurring.
best trick is go to the game, press alt+enter for two times and then the taskbar and top white bar will go away and your mouse wont stop working
