60's 70's 80's disco vibe with time travel to the present is sooo good... Pablo(the composer, producer).. Justin(the creative director)... Stell's choreography with Josh and Ken.. they created this amazing WYAT MV...I enjoyed this much.. thank you for all the appreciation to SB19
That last bit of them in separate places were the things the individual members were doing during the pandemic. WYAT was written by Pablo during that time. It was his song for his members. He felt they were getting disconnected from each other because they were apart and couldn’t meet often. Also, if you want product placement, Ken’s solo scene had a subtle nod to some of the products they endorse - Pizza for Pizza Hut, donuts for Dunkin Donuts and the blue drink for Pepsi Blue. 🙂
Yes, american diners and rockabillies, with slick back hair are also a part of our culture since the liberation period. Theme of the song is reconnecting the past to the future. They started from the 50s/60s, moving toward the future, decade by decade, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s. To present.
Back in the 50s in Manila, it was so westernized since it was just a few years after the war. Mobil, exxon, shell, are all there. Diners are also a thing back then

Philippines were colonized by Americans, that is why Philippines's has this kind of style also, as well as English is the 2nd language of the Philippines.
I’ve watched old Filipino documentaries, and yes, they did have this kind of aesthetic and fashion in appropriate eras. After 333 years of Spanish colonization, we were conquered by the U.S, so we had also a lot of American influences, even after we were liberated from them. Pablo wrote the song, and produced it with his younger brother Josue. Stell is the choreographer. And Justin is the creative director for the MV.
Back to the Future , retro music outfit also, now nominated as Most requested song by MUSIC RADIO IHEARTRADIO in NYC as No. 11 #WYAT . Thank you for supporting and reacting this video.
yeah canteen diner and caffe was widespread along manila during american colonizarion and since then american theme and influence was getting normalize in the phillipines up to now...
Yes, we do have all of those aesthetics because of the Americans in our country. And even ever since they left, they left a huge footprint on us. One major example, the language. Another is the music. It's like almost all the music icons in America are always brought to the Philippines from the '50s up to the present. It's very prevalent in our variety shows, in themed stores/restaurants, and in fashion statements so yeah, those aesthetics are the looks of our cities in the Philippines during each respective era.
We have Western influence - we also went through what the US had in the 50s-fashion, music, automobiles, diners, etc. currently we do have restaurants with retro setting. Went through 80s music which for me is one of the greatest era in the music industry. Pablo’s teased hair, fashion and his b&w solo actually is 80s😊
Thank you for listening to SB19, they are known for being a self producing group. Their leader Pablo made this song with his brother, choreograpy was made by Stell, creative direction was made by Justin and also for sure Ken and Josh shared their ideas to made this track possible ~~

They have realese their recent album Pagtatag EP. I promise you guys. They are a banger. They have RnB. Also the ballads. Many reactors almost cry to "ILAW" some did and cant speak because they are crying so hard. Some cant sit steady and wanted to jump and do rave on the song "Crimzone"
Pablo wrote the song and produced it with his brother Josue. They will have a concert in NY this coming 11/5 at the Palladium Times Square. Tickets will start to sell today(Monday). Hope to see you there.😊
Thank u Jacob as always.. this MV is produced by Pablo himself and his brother.. Music & Lyrics by Pablo Choreo by Stell..Directed by Justin.. Dream team indeed! They're coming to the US for a series of shows starting off with NY on Nov 5.. Pablo dont just write lyrics for the sake of creating a song.. there's always a meaningful story behind those words..WYAT might have this funky beat and groovy but its a song written for Ken Stell Josh and Justin during lockdown..It's his way of re connecting with the boys..
Kaps, just a correction: The MV is produced by Black Star Entertainment and 1Z. The music is produced by Radkidz (SB19 Pablo and his brother, Josue) and written by Pablo. The MV's Creative Director is SB19 Justin. 💙
Very few noticed the change in the video footage resolution. The first part was filmed using the old low-resolution camera used back in the day, after banging the boombox the resolution turned HD using the modern Hi-Res camera that's popular these days. This MV paid so much attention to details. What a great production. When you check the description from the original SB19 Official, here's what you'll see ....Pablo = songwriter, Stell = Choreographer, Justin = Creative Director
Jabob, that's what so special about SB19 they produce their own songs and videos. Some boy group have no control of what they songs they sing or how they present a song. Pablo wrote and produced it, Justin designed the video and Stell did the Choreo. Oh and the tickets to the New York show went on sell today.
Btw they will have a concert in NYC on the 5th of Nov. in Palladium time square...and 12th in Los Angeles! Hope you could also see them perform live! Thanks

Yes, we have that vibe, The period of American colonialization of the Philippines was 48 years. It began with the cession of the Philippines to the U.S. by Spain in 1898 and lasted until the U.S. recognition of Philippine independence in 1946. until now major infrastructures etc, economy, education system, and 2nd language is American English.
Yes there was a greaser culture in the 50s in the Philippines. The Philippines was a US colony in the early 1900s and then had a short Japanese occupation during WW2. So after WW2, there was still very strong US influence (up to now actually) so we had the greaser culture, beatnik era, mod era, hippie era, disco era and we also have all those US brands in the Philippines.

To answer your first question, yes. We did have that kind of vibe because we were once under American rule. Our culture was very influenced by westerners and "we" immediately took it as ours.
