    I love it when the umpire gives it right back to the manager. That's some funny stuff right there.

      Tracy S I remember one time CB Buckner got into it with the Devil Rays manager (they were still going by that), they were right in each other’s faces jawing like crazy, commentator said “I’m sure I know what they are arguing about and the only thing I have to say is I hope they both have great breath mints.”

    Oldest rule in baseball: don’t argue balls and strikes...... constantly broken

    • @chucky2569
      @chucky2569 5 лет назад +8

      Because the MLB umpires are not held accountable for their Bad calls. Borderline calls are okay however, I've seen balls in the dirt called strikes.

      That's a piss poor rule to have. That gives umpires way too much control and free reign of ego trips.

      One of the dumbest rules being soft if a umpire gets bumped by a player

  • @matts8056
    @matts8056 5 лет назад +13

    The first one was a balk. He stepped towards home then to first. Announcers don’t ever know what a balk is.

    • @leifopstad2972
      @leifopstad2972 3 года назад +2

      Part of it is it's honestly hard to tell (at least for me) what is a balk with that type of situation

    7:11 is one of my favorite, the kick is great!

    Kershaw's front hip went toward the plate before he threw toward first which is a ball in the first clip

    Man, it is so damn difficult to check a swing. Can't believe dudes don't injure themselves more often when tryina check.

    • @kurtbarrett6785

      I couldn't agree more... Also, the definition of a ck swing really needs to be more clearly defined.

  • @RyanWow65
    @RyanWow65 5 лет назад +13

    That first one was clear balk on Kershaw. Idk why there was an argument.

    • @larsonmarkov1699
      @larsonmarkov1699 5 лет назад +1

      Kershaw did a balk. His foot and leg went too far toward home plate

    Near 10 minutes when Terry get's tossed, is the longest silence from commentators i've ever heard i thought the video was muted haha.

    The second segment there's no need to get tossed and the score is 0-0 . and then some of those umpires are blind as hell. Those strike's called weren't even close

    • @louisberry8189
      @louisberry8189 2 года назад +3

      That’s what umpires are taught though if the pitch is close to the strike zone and we don’t call a strike then we’ll check the swing but if the pitch isn’t close to being a strike then we as the home plate umpire are to call the swing or not.

    • @nateward9592
      @nateward9592 5 лет назад +4

      19Harakiri76 foreign substance, was using something to doctor the ball. Could be pine tar or sunscreen, something to give an advantage to the pitcher. You’re not allowed to do that.

  • @ts.elliot5870

    I can understand rookies and coaches getting thrown out. Rookies dont know the ump's limits. Coaches are supposed to stick up for the team. Stars like Bryce Harper should know their playing can help a team. Getting thrown out never helps your team.

    I’m really not sure kershaw balked. Is there 45 degree rule in mlb?

    • @reaganfaulkner8803
      @reaganfaulkner8803 5 лет назад

      No there is not. Sadly its umpire's judgment. I've been to umpire school and we were taught the pitcher has to gain distance and direction with the step and the ball has to follow. In my opinion it was not a balk.

  • @BloodoperaBlackvomit

    • @michaelfalkner1186
      @michaelfalkner1186 2 года назад +1

      Bryce Harper will never win a championship. Put that down and circle it.
      He's an ump problem and an anger management problem and addition by subtraction.

    It’s a balk -
    1) Seemed to me as an umpire the pitcher stepped more toward home than 1st.
    2) Obviously in the umpire’s judgement the pitcher did that.
    3) Case closed 👍😇.

    23:12 Buck Showalter looks likes hes been busted and sent to the Principal's office. His pitcher was caught with a foreign substance. Whoops!
