Raw is great but yes, it can be quite pricey and time consuming. I was lucky enough to find a local to me brand that did all pre-packaging and cost was same as high end/good quality kibble. This is same as peoples diet (vegan vs not), babies (breast feeding vs bottle) etc etc - all these are such hot topics and cause people to argue and fight. It is so important to just do what works for YOUR family and YOUR circumstances.
I also had to stop feeding raw. It’s just not feasible for me right now as I have several chronic illnesses myself. I do think it’s healthiest but sometimes it’s not what we can do. I have 5 dogs and it is, quite simply, way more work than I have the energy/spoons to spend on. I rotate and mix many different brands of kibble with various toppers- including canned foods, raw “meatballs”, cooked food, etc. Be VERY careful feeding “grain free” kibble. There’s very compelling research that shows grain free kibble (containing things like pea protein & sweet potatoes) causes a pretty serious heart condition in dogs. Best thing to do for allergies is to get allergy testing done- find out exactly what she’s allergic to so you can eliminate it.
"Compelling research" being one redacted study that wasn't a randomized controlled trial... At least as far as I know. I'd love to know if there is something else though.
I don't do totally grain free either. Our best bet is to rotate brands like you and I do. That way if one food is a little deficient in one area another one will pick up the slack. I like to use the analogy of comparing dry food to cheerios. They are great for breakfast, but if that is all you eat for your whole life problems will occur eventually.
I work at a pet store. Just letting you know what my manager told me. Blue Buffalo (aka taste of the wild) spoils very quickly on the way to the stores because there's no air conditioning in the truck trailers they bring them in, which is problematic for foods with zero preservatives.
I'm a michigander too & that sounds familiar. Our whole driveway was ice yesterday. We have about 6 inches of snow along the lake where I am. I like when the high is 75 & the low is 65.
I live near Toronto in Canada. It's just above 0 celcius. We had snow this morning, but it melted later on. My favourite weather is spring weather. I love when all the plants start growing again and when it isn't too warm or too cold. The rainy days can be nice as well.
Dallas Texas. It's 70 right now. My favorite time of year is between autum and fall as well as spring. The way that the leaves on trees changes and new flowers coming in.
There is a brand called orijen and they are very goog quality dog food that is a great option for dogs with allergies cause no added stuff just healthy food.
Orijen is some seriously good food it's true, but can be too rich for many dogs. Acana is its sister food with the same great ingredients just lower richness. If you can switch on to one of them I would recommend but TOW is still a good food, certainly better than a whole tone of other foods on the market, so you will probably be just fine. If you haven't already you might test her taurine levels with your vet, just because raw usually supports that better and it can be a real problem for goldens. Just don't fall too much into the anti grain free hype surrounding it.
@armed not triggered Orijen (and most grain free formulas) use peas and lentils as the main binding agent to hold the kibble together. If there is no grain in the kibble, it doesn’t hold its shape, so the lentils are a necessary fibre to allow the food to remain a kibble. I work in a per food store and we get this question often :) there is no link between peas/lentils and heart problems, especially when they are only used as a binder, the actual amount in the kibble is simply too low
My German shepherd mix did great on Orijen as we started her young. Our other older dog was not because it was way to rich, constant constipation was the biggest thing. We switched to Acana and both the dogs do amazing on it, better then Orijen even.
I live on Vancouver Island, BC, and right now it's 9 degrees Celsius (about 50 F) and cloudy with showers. We feed our dog raw, but you're right it is more work! Even the brand we use which is ground whole animal (meat, bones, organs) in frozen patties - you need to store it, and thaw it each day, and it is pretty messy for clean up of containers and utensils. Plus we supplement with fruit and vegetables and eggs. Between that and rotating her protein source every day (she has a LOT of allergies), it's a lot of work! You've done your due diligence to make sure Harlow is healthy on kibble, so good for you!
I live near Oxford England and today is rain and wind, a storm is cooking, it is 13 degrees C (I have no idea about F convention lol!). I love crisp frosty late autumn days, unfortunately that is not the type of autumn we are getting this year, it’s been wet and wild! I appreciate your honesty about finding the balance between our ideals and what our bodies will allow. You make it easier for me to accept somethings that I have had to change over this past year as my chronic illness and deteriorated and my disability has and continues to grow. You make it easier as I can see I’m not the only one making tough decisions and it’s okay to sometimes accept rather than ‘fight, fight, fight’ as I’m prone to do!
I live in Bournemouth, Dorset, England. Today is raining, windy and chilly. I love Spring because it’s everything new growing in the ground and new animals being born.
In Minnesota, it's 24 degrees and snow on the ground. I like later spring/early summer when it's not too hot and before mosquitoes come out. Also due to POTS, I don't do well in extreme temperatures, especially in heat/humidity
Don't worry about it! I'm not surprised with how bad your health has been that you had to go back. Only thing I might consider would be trying a different dehydrated food like The Honest Kitchen or Spot Farms. But your health comes first no matter what!
Miss Minkay my thoughts exactly. We feed THK for breakfast and raw for dinner, but will do solely THK when I can’t prep. The only thing is that dehydrated food can be a bit on the pricey side, but even feeding it once a week has benefits over nothing.
I live in northern Germany and it currently always around 0°C. My favourite weather is something between 20-23°C. It is warm but not too warm that I can become unconscious in full public transport. The warmer it is and the less oxygen is in the air the more likely I am to just drop. I can push it a bit with eating enough before going out but in the end if it takes too long I drop. I don't know why I'm so sensitive to these minor changes in oxygen level but it makes life not easier when you a commuting to uni. Thank god the new trains have great air conditioning (some say it is too chilly but I love it) but the trams in the city do not and it can get pretty packed inside of them.
my dog had similar problems to Harlow he was constantly getting ear infections to the point where our vet recommended we get him allergy tested and it turns out he is allergic to most things including his own earwax. there are little to no kibbles that are available for him to have without ingredients that he is allergic to so we get the ready made raw food in big chunks then we cut the food up weigh it and put it into plastic bags and put it into the freezer this usually lasts at least a month, we then get one bag out overnight to feed him in the morning and one bag during the day to feed him at night. he is also on a monthly injection for his allergies and we watch him closely so at the first sign of an ear infection we have a ear wash to wash his ears out and this usually does the trick. we are very happy to have done this because a couple months ago his skin got really irritated so we took him to the vet who said he's lucky to be on the allergy injection because what ever it was that had caused this reaction he was allergic to and if he wasn't on it he would me much worse and would probably have gone into anaphylaxis. he is the best dog I could have ever asked for and we would do anything for him.
I live in Denmark and right now its about 28 °f or -2°c and wind so it feels very cold. They mentioned on the TV that we might get a bit of snow, but it's more likely to be a mix of rain and snow. I love the spring the most. Everything turns green and the days gets warmer and more light.
I live in southeastern New Hampshire, about 40 miles north of Boston. On Thanksgiving, our weather was 10 degrees and windy, but at least there was sun. Now we're back in the gloom, which usually means warmer temps. 40 degrees here at noontime, but at night it drops into the 20s. The snow is creeping closer to our area-- just yesterday northern NH was buried in heavy, wet snow, with lots of power outages.
I don't know if you are aware of it but "Fresh Pet" dog food could be a good option. It has real beef or chicken and vegetables in it. Most likely it isn't the ideal diet but it might be closer to raw and all you need to do is cut it up. It is a little pricey though :(. I can say my dog loves it, if she doesn't have it, she will not eat anything.
Kris Rumsey Yes! It is also a very good option and my dog and cat both like it! Of course, I have a Persian cat and toy poodle big difference from Harlow in size. But it could easily be mixed in with some kibble to stretch the dollar!
You can buy fully raw diets customized for your dog, that would come in the mail whenever you need it. All you need to do is just take it out of the bag and put it in a bowl, and no one needs to do the prepping. But of course she is your dog and you are trying to do what's best for her and you
In Germany it's around 0°C which I think is 32°F❄ winter is here😉 I've never written a comment so far but I really love your channel and your passion about it. I think I "found" you on RUclips because of your service dog videos around 2 years ago. I really love the way you do your vlogs and tell about the good and bad moments in your life. I don't have any chronic illness but you are so positive and have a lovely way to inspire people to see the good things in life😊 thank you so much! 😊😊😊 (I hope my English is okay, it's been a while since I had to write in English😄)
I am in Greece! The weather is pretty weird this winter...The temperature is in the mediums (15-20celsius) and it's both sunny and cloudy! It was raining and sunny at the same time today.
I'm in the UK - it's (quickly converts) currently around 45-50F and drizzling. My favourite is autumn, when you get those mornings with bright blue sky and a really sharp frost, all the leaves crunching underfoot, cold enough to need a coat and scarf but not gloves or a hat!
Long Island, NY represent! Its actually really nice right now but the weather keeps throwing in really cold days. Completely missed FALL! I love the 40-50 degree weather, and your channel, and Harlow, and you, and the update. Hope to see more of your adventures!
I do the commercial pre-made options. I'd never be able to manage it from scratch. I found a good local supplier that has an egg-free option and it works well. It's much cheaper than dehydrated raw. The only thing I have to do is weigh out meal portions into bags every four days from the big pack. It takes about 15 minutes, it does take some energy and some days I sit on a bar stool to do it, but kibble isn't an option for my dog. I've also done the commercial pucks and that's very easy to feed but I couldn't lift the big box so I opted for the company that delivers to my home. But if I was in and out of hospital, even the simplest way I do it would be a problem unless I was able to bag it all in advance.
Hey Jackie I live all the way in California right now the weather is rainy and cloudy and it's about 5560 degrees outside so it's not too bad I took my service dog out this morning he doesn't really like the rain but we dealt with it while it was still a little dark
I live in beautiful green western Washington, and, as is typical for us in late November, it's 47°F with torrential rain, wind, and thunderstorms. My favorite type of weather is absolutely freezing cold with a ton of snow. 😁 I went to college at Central Washington University, which is in the eastern foothills of the Cascade Mountains in Washington, where blizzards and deep freezes were common. The snow came in FEET, and it was not unheard of for the temperature to dip below zero. I love this kind of weather because it has brought me closer to my friends and family in moments where we played in the snow, or I got stuck at school with some friends over a holiday break because the mountains were impassable.
If she has trouble with kibble, you can also do wet food or wet food mixed with kibble. Kibble with wet food has been the best option I've found for my pups.
I live on the west coast of Newfoundland and it’s on average for the next 4-5 months -15 to -18 with 4-6ft of snow. It sucks. I love sunny fall days that you can wear a sweater and feel comfortable
I live in Melbourne, Australia! Right now it's 70 degrees (fahrenheit), but last week we had a crazy cold snap and it was snowing in parts of my state.... A WEEK AWAY FROM SUMMER! I love it when it's just could enough to rug up, hate the summer!
It was so cool to run into you and Judd the other week at EPCOT! Thanks again for the kind words about Buttercup and for all you do to help support fellow service dog teams! I knew right away I would never be able to keep up with a proper raw diet, so I initially chose Taste of the Wild Salmon, but Buttercup wasn't processing that amount of protein properly and it made her smell like a fish! So now she's on Science Diet and smells good again! It is really tough to pick a dog food! Also, tell Judd I'm sorry I totally ignored him at EPCOT! I was just so taken aback haha
I'm in Southern Illinois near St. Louis, MO!! It's 19°F here currently and we've had a lot of snow already! I love late fall and winter weather. I can't stand summer weather unless it's on the coast with the nice coastal winds and ocean winds and the ocean to swim in.
Around 40 degrees here in NJ. 🥶 I love spring when winter is finishing up and you can feel it in the air. Everything is starting to bud and birds begin chirping. But my favorite weather is sunny and hot around 75 degrees!!! 🔥🌞 Beach time, music, and dresses!
It's on and off here in the midwest, high 60's one day the next a snow blizzard. today was just kinda chilly, the rest of the week I'm not sure lol... it'll definitely start getting wayyy colder and stay colder in the next few months thanks for the update Jaquie (:
Sweet video, loved Harlow at the dog park. It's 55 degrees and cloudy here in El Dorado Hills, California. My fav temp is 55- 65 degrees. My dog Beau likes it too.
Hi Jaquie! I live near Edmonton, Alberta Canada. Our weather today is beautiful! It is -4C (25F) with beautifully clear blue skies. We have about 6" of snow on the ground and have had for about 3 weeks now. My favorite weather is either Spring or Fall when it is warm-ish during the day and cooler at night. I love sleeping with the window open in the evening when it is a bit cooler out. Right now in fact, I have my window open and it is heavenly! xoxox Heather🇨🇦
I live in Florida too and I agree with you, Jaquie; the cooler winter months, where the temperatures drop into the 50s and 60s, are my favorite days, weather wise :) Relief from the heat!!
I live in Nova Scotia and it's been mostly snow lately! Our sunny days are still below 0 with or without wind chill. Big fan of directly 0/32 degrees without wind so I can be bundled, but not shivering! I also love the snow!
My Guide dog is earring the same kibble. We have been Battling allergies too, both with food and seasonal allergies. Working with the vet now to get him a little bit more comfortable. Thanks for sharing your journey
I'm actually from the Netherlands and we are currently enduring temperatures of about 8 degrees celcius (about 46 degrees fahrenheit) with lots of rain and cold wind coming from the inland areas such as Germany and other neighbouring countries to us. My favourite time has to either be spring or fall, spring because everything comes back to life and usually temps are not that bad, fall because I love seeing the leaves changing colours and being bundled up on the couch with my blanky, favourite book and cup of tea ^.^
Taste of the Wild, fish version, is the same food we give my sensitive dog! My Ridgy is a little bichon mix, and we’re in Oregon, so I really wasn’t expecting to hear Harlow is now eating the same food. This one has worked wonderfully for Ridgy. Best thing we found for his sensitive tummy and skin. In Oregon, it’s cold and rainy. Pretty sure that’s more or less true statewide right now, or at least across central and western Oregon. That’s not always the case, by the way. Oregon includes a high desert (dry but high enough altitude to get very cold at night and in the winter) and mountains. The dreary Portland weather people think of for Oregon isn’t statewide. My favorite season is summer, whatever part of Oregon I’m in. I like the freedom of throwing on a sundress without having to choose multiple items of clothing, and the freedom to walk outside barefoot.
Hi Jaquie! I live in Märsta, Sweden, and right now we have a temperature of a cool 23 degrees Fahrenheit. ❄️ ⛄️ In the winter I like it fine around 23, just so the snow can stick to the ground, but any other time of the year my comfort zone somewhere around 64-ish. I don’t do too well if it gets too hot 🥵
I was born and raised in WV. I got married to an active duty USAF man. Abot 29 yrs ago. He retired 21 yrs of service in 2001. We live in MO. Winter storm came in got down in the teens in the day. 39 outside. Hugs. Love. Prayers too y'all👣🐾🙏🐕💗
It was 40° and sunny today, which was a nice change from the last few days where it didn't get above about 28°. My favorite weather is just warm enough for short sleeves but just cool enough for lightweight pants, so somewhere around mid-60s, but it has to be dry, not humid.
I'm from winnipeg Canada! Currently its -5 C which isn't terrible but we are having a big snow storm which means icy roads!!! My favorite weather is just the beginning of fall may be warm enough for a dress or a jacket depending on the day but not crazy warm. A lot like the weather you were just enjoying!
I live in northern Ontario, Canada, and its chilly! We are holding at about -10 to -15C, which is around 14 to 5F. SD Trinket is not a fan of cold weather! She is not quite as tough with the old as my late dogs were, which is surprising because I thought my Basset Hound was sensitive. She wears boots for long outings to keep her toes happy. As for Hars diet change, dont beat yourself up over it! I fed my late dogs a rotation diet of raw, cooked and kibble, but with my health I cant dedicate the time to make sure Trinket is getting 100% balanced food. I suppliment with raw food a few times a week but her main diet is Champion pet foods, which make Orijen and Acana. They are meat based kibbles, and imo one of the best out there! When you compare ingredients to other brands it's amazing to see how few vitamins and minerals they have to add to the diet to make it complete, this is because they ingredients they start with are nutritionally dense. I highly recommend taking a lot at champion :)
I'm from the north east of the UK and we have a huge storm right now so its very cold, dark and lots of rain. My favourite weather is both when it's snowy and you can bundle up at home close to Christmas, and summer nights when everything finally starts to cool and the sun sets :)
I use Totally Raw for my pup. Something in kibble (even gastro friendly and hypoallergenic food) made her itchy; urinate frequently; and drink a lot. It's only 14 USD for a bag. A bag lasts 4 days.
I'm in Southeastern Washington State. It's 30 degrees and homebound until spring. My body temperature dysregulation is severe and troublesome especially in this cold. I go through horrible symptoms any time the temperature moves beyond 70-72 degrees either way. I use layering to get through the days. The daily dysregulation factor is exhausting at this point.
I live in Duluth Minnesota where it is 20 degrees with snow covering the ground. I love Minnesota summers where it is 70’s - 80’s during the day and drops down to 50’s - 60’s in the evening.
I live in Nor cal Sacramento area and it's been cloudy and rainy lately. My favorite weather is cool and cloudy and dry. I ran into the same thing with SOJOS I had my golden on the turkey one and she did good for a long time but then she too started having loose stool. I went through so many kibble brands she constantly broke out in hot spots from them I finally found a salmon based no poultry or other meats and she's done amazing on it! It's called "4health, sensitive skin" her eyes don't run she doesn't get hotspots or itchy either which is amazing she does so well on it that the other week when I ran out of her food and gave my other dogs food to her to tide her over to my paycheck she got a hotspot the very next day. I went out got her food and she healed up so quickly and is doing well again. It's the only food I can feed her that she thrives on. I tried from taste of the wild to Fromm top line brands I was spending $100+ every two weeks to find a new food she could eat until I found 4health sensitive skin and never looked back. (Sorry my long comment) it's tractor supply co brand in case your curious and want to try it 😊. Glad to see you out and about enjoying the weather 💕
I'm a native Floridian (Tampa Bay buddies!) currently living in eastern Tennessee. When I got up for work this morning, the "feels-like" temperature was 19 degrees.... I'm actually loving this weather because I can't stand the heat, but I think my favorite is 50s/60s and sunny.
I’ve been working in pet food stores for 5+ years now and had my dog on raw for a couple years, but she can’t eat the premade ones anymore because they’re too high fat, so we’ve switched to canned, which are lower fat. If you’re worried about Harlow’s allergies, a novel protein source (e.g. venison, kangaroo) often helps with allergy symptoms like itchy skin and ear infections, it’s possible a different brand of food, still fish-based, could work well for her, so that might be something to think about if you want/need to cut down on the number of steps or are unsatisfied with how she tolerates her food. I’m a big fan of Fromm and Nutrisource/Pure Vita (and many other Canadian brands which idk if you can get). Regardless of what she’s eating though, she sure looks happy and healthy! 😊
I'm from Arizona so I am very accustum to the "dry heat". I love the summer heat (high 90s to 100°) because I am always in the pool, but the low 60s of the winter are great for prime sweatshirt weather too!
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area (oakland), CA and the weather is really nice all year round, but it definitely is unpredictable. It's super nice in the spring; not too hot, not too cold.
I live at the base of Mt. Baker (near the Canadian border) in Washington state. It’s pouring rain, windy and in a current flood watch. We are heading into winter with temps dropping in the 20’s by the end of the week. I prefer consistent, drier and sunnier weather. Hoping to move to the east side of the state.
I live in MD where it is 32 degrees and feels like 23 because it's so windy out. I'd love to do my dog's own raw but can't right now. She's on Vital Essentials raw as she has allergies as well to several things and it's the only pre-made raw that doesn't have anything she's allergic to in it. I feed the frozen kind (defrosted of course) and occasionally the Freeze-dried as well. It's actually cheaper freeze-dried but she perfers the froze.
Here on Canada's west coast we're around 10c, with a mix of sun, fog, and rain. Personally I love spring/fall (shoulder seasons). I can't handle heat and the cold makes my joints ache, so I'm a goldielocks I like temps that are "just right" (10-20c).
In Montreal it’s currently ~30°F with a fair amount of snow on the ground, but last week it was -22°F 🥶 and I agree with you, the best weather is mid-high 50s! We only get that kind of weather for a couple weeks in spring and fall, last winter we had weeks on end colder than -20°F, and in the summer we’re mostly in the mid-high 80s-90s! It’s occasionally hotter and more humid here than in Orlando 😯
I live in Nebraska and its 28, cloudy, and we have a little snow left from a storm we had over the weekend. I have asthma and one of my triggers is cold, dry air so I prefer warmer weather. My favorite is warmer fall days.
I live in British Columbia Canada and we are staying around 0 but it’s supposed to get cold on the weekend and we will get snow. I feed my dog a raw diet and love it! I buy pre made raw patties and it’s super easy to use you just take it out of the freezer and feed it frozen or thawed.
I live in Owosso, Michigan and right now it’s only 28 degrees and we have snow!! My favorite time of the year is fall because around here it’s not too hot and not too cold so you are comfortable in the temp without a coat or in a t-shirt!
It is 75 this afternoon in Phoenix. I have a friend here who has a cocker spaniel with the same problems as Harlow. She has to feed her only rice and chicken breasts that she gets at Costco. She also puts vegetables iin it like peas and carrots and supplements recommended by her vet.
I live in Maine and it is 12 degrees right now! I lived in Tampa for two years and definitely miss those Florida "winters"! My favorite weather is Maine spring when it is finally sunny and warmer and 50 degrees.
I live about an hour outside of Boston, MA and it's currently 39°. In a few months 39° will be considered warm. My favorite temperature is 77°. Love your vlogs!
I live in regional North Western Australia and we've been hitting 35°c regu, that's not even the start of summer! Mid summer we can expect 45°c frequently. I usually love my cold weather and bundling up in layers of clothes, but I'm starting to enjoy my 30°c - 35 °c days!
Hey Jaquie 😊 I'm from Chicago and it's currently in the 20s. As a cyclist, my favorite weather is between 45 and 60. Allows me to stay cooler while riding throughout each day :)
I am in New York...it’s cold here...I HATE the winter and so does my body...I am normally in bed for a most of the winter months...I like the the spring and fall weather...I would like to move to North Carolina if I was able to... I have a Yorkshire Terrier and I had her on an organic brand of kibble...the vet gave us a recommendation to try royal canine (Yorkshire Terrier brand) and it was honestly the best recommendation we have ever gotten...she isn’t fussy anymore and eats the food without putting anything in it...or bribing her...always sending lots of love...prayers...thoughts from Gracie and I in New York❣️💋
I'm in Australia, Queensland is burning with catastrophic conditions, NSW is flooding and breaking rain records and Melbourne is doing both. So 46-49°C, 15-20°C and between 10°C and 30°C. Loving every moment (almost, the fires suck!)
Hey Jaquie. Love 💖 your videos. They have been so informative and helpful in dealing with my illnesses. It’s in the sunny 60s here in San Diego. I’m from the Midwest originally and was used to weather extremes but this last summer was unusually hot. I’m loving the cooler temps. 🍁
I'm in Scotland, it's pretty warm for this time of year (11c/51f) but it has been raining almost all day and windy. no more days in the sun for us 😂. My favourite weather has to be snow. It's so refreshing and it makes everything so bright!
Here in NC one minute it's cold then it feels like fall up in the 60's and 70's. I like spring. My mood and outlook is better and less pain and inflammation. And less tears.
In Tucson Arizona it's been low to mid 70s for highs and low 40s at night. We're gonna be seeing highs in the 60s next week though. My favorite weather though is highs in the 50s though this time of year. I'm starting to miss snow though now.
It is very cold right now in Minnesota. Not too much snow in the twin cities, but we've gotten down to single digits a couple days with the wind chill.
I live in Maine and it’s 30° F right now but 2 days ago it was like 12°. My favorite temperature is the 50s but when we start coming out of winter I get really excited in March when it starts reaching 30° and start wearing shorts.
I honestly love the colder weather as it's easy for me to breathe. Right now it's a chilled -25, as I live in Northern Ontario. My favorite season has to be spring because it's nice and sunny and I'm able to be outside all day without worrying about the mid-day heat.
I live in Mississippi. 2 days ago, the highs were in the 40s, today they were in the 70s and Monday they'll be cold again. I like spring and fall, the mid-70s to low 80s during the day, 50s or so at night. I'm cold-natured. I was wearing a hoodie this afternoon and I would never be in a tank top even in the 70s.
I live in New York, and we have 6 inches of snow right now! Its 30 degrees outside. I personally love winter but I wont go out in it because it's too darn cold! My very favorite season is probably spring because even though I have lots of seasonal allergies, I love to walk through all the pretty flowers that grow in rochester!!!
I live in Queensland in Australia and currently we are just starting summer and there is a big heat wave most places in the state is high 30 C low 40 C (i dont know what that is in Farenheit) but it's HOT . There is a lot of fires around ... my favorite time of year is winter.. u can always warm up but it a bit harder to cool down
Where I live which Lethbridge Alberta Canada is supposed to snow. I love it a little cool but not too cold and definitely not hot. My favourite weather is a mild winter as well as fall
Raw is great but yes, it can be quite pricey and time consuming. I was lucky enough to find a local to me brand that did all pre-packaging and cost was same as high end/good quality kibble.

WorkingK9 purchase akela or AATU 80/20 kibble. Good quality all meat and veg. X
I work at a pet store. Just letting you know what my manager told me. Blue Buffalo (aka taste of the wild) spoils very quickly on the way to the stores because there's no air conditioning in the truck trailers they bring them in, which is problematic for foods with zero preservatives.
I live in Michigan and right now its 27° and cloudy with lots of snow on the ground. I the spring time, warm in the day and cooler at night!
Jessica Braunscheidel same lol
Jessica Braunscheidel I do to and it’s so cold and snowy!!
Jessica Braunscheidel about the same temp for me. No snow though.
i live in MI and same lol
Orijen uses peas and lentils in their food though. I wish they wouldn't. I've already lost one dog to DCM. Not willing to go through it again.
I live in Connecticut and I just finished reading a book set in Bournemouth. I love British and Scottish psychological horror!
It's -1C or 32F here in Edmonton which is unseasonably warm. I love that spring weather cool enough for a snuggley sweater but not freezing
Montreal, Quebec, Canada.... snow and cold! 70’s sounds good to me!
Marieke D - same in Ottawa! But it’s much better than last Thursday’s frostbite warning!!
my dog had similar problems to Harlow he was constantly getting ear infections to the point where our vet recommended we get him allergy tested and it turns out he is allergic to most things including his own earwax. there are little to no kibbles that are available for him to have without ingredients that he is allergic to so we get the ready made raw food in big chunks then we cut the food up weigh it and put it into plastic bags and put it into the freezer this usually lasts at least a month, we then get one bag out overnight to feed him in the morning and one bag during the day to feed him at night. he is also on a monthly injection for his allergies and we watch him closely so at the first sign of an ear infection we have a ear wash to wash his ears out and this usually does the trick. we are very happy to have done this because a couple months ago his skin got really irritated so we took him to the vet who said he's lucky to be on the allergy injection because what ever it was that had caused this reaction he was allergic to and if he wasn't on it he would me much worse and would probably have gone into anaphylaxis. he is the best dog I could have ever asked for and we would do anything for him.
All you need to do is just take it out of the bag and put it in a bowl,
and no one needs to do the prepping.
I live in Toronto, Canada. It is 9 degrees celcius and snowing. Spring is my favourite season.
I live in Pennsylvania its 26 and feels like 13 with the strong wind and it's currently snowing. My favorite season is fall with all the fall colors
If she has trouble with kibble, you can also do wet food or wet food mixed with kibble. Kibble with wet food has been the best option I've found for my pups.
We're currently Stationed in Anchorage, Alaska it's currently 31 F with a fresh layer of snow today! My favorite is 60-40 with no rain.
Hi Jaquie! Weather in So. California today is low 70's, with rain on the way tonight. 😁🐱👍💕
It's on and off here in the midwest, high 60's one day the next a snow blizzard.
today was just kinda chilly, the rest of the week I'm not sure lol... it'll definitely start getting wayyy colder and stay colder in the next few months
thanks for the update Jaquie (:
It's floating around 40 degrees here in NYC! The winter is my favorite, I love getting bundled up!
In the winter I like it fine around 23, just so the snow can stick to the ground, but any other time of the year my comfort zone somewhere around 64-ish.
I live in michigan and about a month after you posted this, it's 12 degrees with a foot and a half of snow and moderately icy roads and sidewalks.
Take care of yourself. Your dog will be just fine on kibble...Don't feel guilty.
Redroses 2424 agree!
I live in Chicago. It’s currently 31 degrees Fahrenheit with snow on the ground. My favorite season is fall! 🍁🍂
Boston is 40s and rainy this week. Haven’t had much winter yet...though we have had some cold days.
I live about an hour outside of Boston, MA and it's currently 39°. In a few months 39° will be considered warm. My favorite temperature is 77°. Love your vlogs!
Nebraska XD 10 degrees with snow and wind chill of -2 degrees... I love fall weather... 50s to 60s where i can bundle up and not sweat
Dothan, AL! It's kind of chilly because of a cold front. But I'm like you, I enjoy cooler weather so I can bundle up!
I live in Washington and right now the weather is cold wet and rainy with cloud cover. I love warm weather with a breeze it’s amazing
I'm in Scotland, it's pretty warm for this time of year (11c/51f) but it has been raining almost all day and windy. no more days in the sun for us 😂. My favourite weather has to be snow. It's so refreshing and it makes everything so bright!
I live in Manitoba Canada. It is in the 20s and snowing. It's my favourite season
Here in NC one minute it's cold then it feels like fall up in the 60's and 70's. I like spring. My mood and outlook is better and less pain and inflammation. And less tears.
22°F here in Sweden at 8pm 28th of November🌬❄️ I love the fall. High clear air and the colors of the trees.
Balmy 26°F in Minnesota. Just got two inches of snow last night. Traffic this morning wasn't bad at all! I'd love the 70°F when I get sick of the snow
I forgot to say, my favorite time of the year is fall and I also like 50-70 degree weather. (Only 70s if it isn't too humid)
Singapore! We live in a pretty humid climate so it's usually 33°C (91.4°F) in the afternoon. My favourite weather is a windy day with cloudy sun!
Singapore has no winter😭 Our temperature ranges from 25-36 degrees Celsius all year around~ Haha!
I live in Maine and it’s 30° F right now but 2 days ago it was like 12°. My favorite temperature is the 50s but when we start coming out of winter I get really excited in March when it starts reaching 30° and start wearing shorts.
I live in CT and it's currently 34 degrees. My favorite weather is summer- around 80 degrees and sunny.
Oregon here, been between 45-55 during the day here, lots of rain but cool, crisp and dry today :)
We were about 32 in central Wisconsin. I love it in the low 70s. Not too hot and not too cold. We don't have any snow yet but it's coming.
