Disney did that all on their own, the toddler just put the period to a terrible effort from start to finish and on virtually every level and facet of such a production. The inadvertent release of the picture of the intended seven mostly began the backlash, Ziegler’s comments were objectionable but even had she never made those comments, nothing could have rescued that train wreck.
Disney should cancel the release, tell the public “The film doesn’t represent our best foot forward, and we won’t release something that could jeopardize our legacy.” Then commit to redoing the movie. The public is forgiving and a “mea culpa” like that will win fans back. No matter what it will be a box office bust; but it doesn’t have to be a brand loss. Snow White (the fairest of them all) made Disney in 1937… ironic this “new” Snow White can break it 85 years later.
They should just shit-can it because it's beyond broken. But Disney has already put so much money in it, that they'll probably release it in the hope that they'll get at least some millions out of it.

They were originally going to have people playing the parts of the dwarves (who they changed to a Benetton ad casting call). The blowback on the “magical creatures” (instead of dwarves) made them decide to “draw over” the people in scenes they had shot.
@@robersotlop1 I think the issue is how much of the movie is not real. In "Snow White" it looks like the actors are the only ones who appear to be real. You've got the CGI Dwarfs, the CGI animals, CGI characters (like the Magic Mirrror), and many settings that look like they are computer generated/enhanced. An example of a movie that could be considered live-ish action is "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace." According to the Commentary there's only one small scene in the entire movie without special effects (it's where a vent spews out gas).
I can think of one type of film where she might do well in. But it is restricted to 18 years and older audiences only and requires her to do little talking and no interviews if you catch my meaning.
When Disney bought Star Wars that was the end of their reign, they've been going down ever since so it would make sense that they would hit bottom at some point. Maybe Zegler did us all a big favor by revealing to us what a true turkey Disney really is, this is the worst bungle of a third of a billion dollar movie I ever saw. It's thanks to the success of the original "Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs" that now Disney exists. It was a high-stakes gamble on the part of Walt Disney, and if "Snow White..." had been a flop Disney might have gone out of business. It was all Iger's fault, Chapek was only there for 2 years... and even then Iger remained an executive chairman. So it was Chapek who inherited all the problems that Iger put in place and the problems that Iger inherited were mostly ones of his own making.

Gal Gadot is a professional and is honored to be doing Disney's iconic Steeping Beauty while Zegler, the rank amateur, is talking about a completely changed Sleeping Beauty that should not be called sleeping beauty anymore. If I take the peanut butter and jelly out of a sandwich and replace it with ham, can I continue to call it a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? This is not the original movie and Gadot should have had nothing to do with it.
Only way to save this movie is to scrap it and redo the entire thing. Zeigler has ruined any chances this movie may have had. I didn't have any issues with Zeigler prior, but she has bashed the movie and brought so much politics into it that I will not watch any movie she is in regardless of how good the movie may be.
When they first mentioned the live version of 'Snow White', I was wondering since we already had the trouble starting over the drawves. I still can't understand how Peter Dinklage got into that, but I admit that I haven't looked into it..I I have always loved the original version of Snow White. Even though I own it on DVD, if it came to a theater I would take my Mother to go to see it as both of us grew up watching Disney originals animated features. I admit that I have not enjoyed what the Disney Co. has done when they updated these wonderful classics we grew up with. Everyone seems to forget that they they are based on fairytales that are over a 100 years old now, but still why does Disney think updating the main female characters lifestyles since they really didn't have jobs. Most of them were princesses, or lived in small towns so they were not book readers. I hated how Disney totally changed the story of Beauty for ' Beauty and the Beast '. That was a timeless classic and I truly hated what Disney did to that story. If you want to see a beautiful version of that story, go see the French version which is in B/W with English subtitles, but it worth it, the title is 'Beauty and the Beast' 1946, directed by Jean Cocteceu, plus if you really want to watch is running on HBO right now.

Watching and listening to Rachel speak I've come to the conclusion that they spend a lot of time and effort teaching actors/actresses when and how to speak, maybe they should spend a bit of time teaching them when to shut the heck up.
I have 6 children. They can all quote the original Snow White, word for word. None of the kids ever said it was scary or weird. Hey, maybe everyone likes having a song thrown in every 5 minutes that has nothing to do with the plot, but I don't.
I did enjoy Frozen, but I could have done without 2 of the songs in it as they were, in my opinion terrible and a waste of time.

The problem is that Gadot is actually known for being nice as well as hot. Zegler was being rude, insulting, arrogant. So the press tour showed Snow acting like the villain and the Queen trying to be nice as Gadot always tries to be in press tours.
iger is the fault of all of this, even when Chapek was in charge, iger was still very much in charge just in the shadows he's the reason chapek got dumped and attacked Iger is the one who organized the campaign against chapek

That cartoon and the story is one of the most successful stories that came out of disney even in today's standard. Her version of that cartoon will never see the light of day, probably not even on Disney + app.
It's thanks to the success of the original "Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs" that now Disney exists. It was a high-stakes gamble on the part of Walt Disney, and if "Snow White..." had been a flop Disney might have gone out of business. Unless I'm mistaken, Disney is the only animation studio from the Golden Age of Animation that is still around.

I will absolutely NOT go see this abomination of a movie. Disney and Rachel is mocking the original animated movie. I loved and still love the 1937 movie.

Nobody should hate watch this misandric crap. Everybody should boycott this movie, or even better, Disney, for as long as it takes.
Disney will best be served by never releasing the movie, no theatrical release, no straight to streaming, just bury it as deep in the vault as possible and MOVE ON!
As for Zegler, she's now kryptonite for the foreseeable future when it comes to a successful movie release. I would be surprised if she's even going to have B grade movie marketability.

It was all Iger's fault, Chapek was only there for 2 years... and even then Iger remained an executive chairman. So it was Chapek who inherited all the problems that Iger put in place and the problems that Iger inherited were mostly ones of his own making.
Gal Gadot actually seems to deliver a decent performance in the trailer. Zegler is crazy. Let's hope her days in the spotlight soon ends and she'll soon be a distant memory, only seen by visitors to a branch of McDonald's...

Gal Gadot is a professional and is honored to be doing Disney's iconic Steeping Beauty while Zegler, the rank amateur, is talking about a completely changed Sleeping Beauty that should not be called sleeping beauty anymore. If I take the peanut butter and jelly out of a sandwich and replace it with ham, can I continue to call it a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? This is not the original movie and Gadot should have had nothing to do with it.

Only way to save this movie is to scrap it and redo the entire thing. Zeigler has ruined any chances this movie may have had. I didn't have any issues with Zeigler prior, but she has bashed the movie and brought so much politics into it that I will not watch any movie she is in regardless of how good the movie may be.
When they first mentioned the live version of 'Snow White', I was wondering since we already had the trouble starting over the drawves. I still can't understand how Peter Dinklage got into that, but I admit that I haven't looked into it..I
I have always loved the original version of Snow White. Even though I own it on DVD, if it came to a theater I would take my Mother to go to see it as both of us grew up watching Disney originals animated features.
I admit that I have not enjoyed what the Disney Co. has done when they updated these wonderful classics we grew up with. Everyone seems to forget that they they are based on fairytales that are over a 100 years old now, but still why does Disney think updating the main female characters lifestyles since they really didn't have jobs. Most of them were princesses, or lived in small towns so they were not book readers. I hated how Disney totally changed the story of Beauty for ' Beauty and the Beast '. That was a timeless classic and I truly hated what Disney did to that story. If you want to see a beautiful version of that story, go see the French version which is in B/W with English subtitles, but it worth it, the title is 'Beauty and the Beast' 1946, directed by Jean Cocteceu, plus if you really want to watch is running on HBO right now.

Watching and listening to Rachel speak I've come to the conclusion that they spend a lot of time and effort teaching actors/actresses when and how to speak, maybe they should spend a bit of time teaching them when to shut the heck up.

I have 6 children. They can all quote the original Snow White, word for word. None of the kids ever said it was scary or weird. For my family, this Snow White movie, it's going to be a hard pass for us. I feel bad for Gal Gadot, she deserves better. I hope Rachel Z has the short lived career she deserves.
