I agree with your view on the palette. It isn't as pretty and wearable as people claim it to be. For us with any pigment of melanin, the shades are too light and at least 4 of the mattes were not needed. I was underwhelmed with the first look I did with it.

“That’s what she said” 😂We’re around the same skin depth and undertone, and cool neutrals scare me a little bit, so seeing how the taupes in I Need a Nude looked on you actually piqued my interest. I may just give Mini Starlette a try instead. Same vibe for a fraction of the cost.

I love the shimmers, but my eyes get very shaded & shrunk by my glasses & bony face, so i know I'm not able to have "wet effect" eyes, there's just not enough light hitting my tiny lid space.
GM, the markup on dealerships is bc it’s “name brand”. Think about i5 like this ppl will buy a Coach purse for $300 but that same purse can be bought for $75 w/o a name backing it.
Absolutely agree with you. I wanted so much wet looking shades, the hipe make me buy it. but they are just meh.. nothing special. All shimmer shades are quite the same. I’m cool light-medium complexion but darker eyelids and l find this palette too light for me and too warm. I just lovelove mattes on this palette, but overall it doesn’t worth a hipe. I want sell it.

But like when I wanna pretend to be a no makeup make up kinda day this might work. The reason I’m apprehensive is because I am always disappointed with natasha denona shimmers. All that to say, wouldn’t it be amaziiing if an indie brand came out with a palette just like this. I know there are indie brands that have neutral palettes. But idk if I know of any palettes that are really “nude” (for lack of a better word) like this. With the the different textures and stuffff.

Ahhhh I was going to suggest Glaminatrix but you are right, there aren’t many neutral indie palettes! I’d love to see some! You know what palette I love, the Uoma beauty freedom palette. It’s amazing, I’m just not sure if it’s available.
Beautiful looks! I think sheen has a nice looking wet effect, but Mia and Delilah don't look wet as much as just sparkly. I'd love to see Muse on you, I think that's really the standout shade, and the sparkling foils as still my favorite formula from her. I am an indie lover and I agree this doesn't stand up to them, but I kinda needed something to pair with them, like your last look. I like your genuine review. Thank you for all you do as a teacher!

Bc I don't need more than a 6 pan or need to spend $69 on a neutral palette. It seemed to fit my undertone and was what I was looking for, so I decided to try it. I wore it last week and I guess it looked really good on me bc my coworker asked if I was going to a wedding. 🤣

Off topic, I know you wear 4N in teh Dior concealer, and I use the shade Valencia in Nars as well, but i swatched the foundation in 4n under my eyes, and it helps but it gives me the same look as Cookie Dough 4.3n from Huda beauty: from afar it doesnt have enough life to it so it looks slightly ashy, specially on the darkest areas. Im going to try 4W and let you know how it goes. I was torn between 3w or 4W, but ill go darker. Lately im not highlighting.

I think if you like indie shimmers you may be disappointed with these. They are just okay for me. Sometimes indie shimmers are too much for people so I understand both sides!

I just received my palette today. I liked the first look and I also swapped out a shadow with one from Glam. Does your palette have a smell like cheap eyeshadow? Mine does. I smelled my Glam to compare and it smells like nothing..but this one has a slight chemical smell,might be the new wet shimmers or the new packaging.
Hey there!!! I did not notice a smell with my palette. There is a little smell but nothing chemical smelling. I smelled my Retro one and it smells the same.
