Very nice video Kripal... living in New Zealand for the past 20 years your videos and food brings me close to my hometown Bangalore.. thank you so much... I literally cried after watching your vidyarthi bhavan video as it was a great hangout place for me with my dad while growing up in basavanagudi. Thanks and all the very best

Awesome video as usual, if you have to happen near Ashwath Nagar X road in Sanjay Nagar Hebbal..... Please try food at Brahmins Tatte Idli.... All the items are awesome.
'Veena Stores' has been well known in that part of Bengaluru for their 'Idli vade'. The term 'Chow Chow' generally has been used to refer to a mixture of different items. Guess that a combination of spicy and sweet semolina preparation (two baaths!) was therefore labelled as 'Chow chow baath' and trimmed to 'Chow chow bath'. Other eateries you may explore at Malleswaram (Mvm.) are Central Tiffin room , 5th cross ( CTR - rhyming with MTR) and Hotel Janatha, 8th cross! Thanks for sharing your experience at Veena Stores.
This is our favourite eatery. This is one of the best chutneys I have tasted. When I delivered my daughter in Lakshmi maternity home before 26 years my breakfast was from Veena stores
Hi Kripal, There is big difference between Khara Bath and Upma. Kharabath is prepared in a cooker and the whole masala is different. Upma or Uppitu is prepared with stir fried vegetable and Rava or Semolina is added later.
Being a north indian and that too a punjabi..i prefer south indian food over punjabi food..i never miss any of ur video..i love the presentation and the way u speak about the food enjoying each and every part of the dish...simply awesome
For years we have been relishing the soft idly and butter, crunchy vadas. My daughter grew up eating those lovely dishes after her stay at a nearby baby sitting. Owner Pradeep has been putting an extra mile to cater to our taste buds. Love the way you are covering all those joints catering lip smacking delicacies sir. We love you❤️❤️❤️
Awesome sir. Sir I am planning to shift to Bangalore from Delhi, your insight to the food of Bangalore is inspiring and pulling me towards the city like gravity!
Sir Your presentation is no words to express when you taste the food ,vocabulary doesn't require your comments but it makes every one water mouth Hats Off for such meticulous episodes ..
Chow chow is a slang for mixture of two or more things ... since u have a combination of two baths on u r plate it’s called a chow chow bath . Kripal you should have gone to Ragavendra stores at malleshwaram railway station too just about 1 kms from Veena stores ...
YOU SIR, is one of the strong compelling reason to visit Bangalore this Oct-Nov. Instead of the typical family visits(cousins etc.), me and wifey have decided to do food trip (mangalore and bangalore). Thanks a ton and keep making such videos. :)
You seem to enjoy anything you eat !! Great attitude and compliment to any cousins you introduce But with amount of tasting you do, how is that you stay in same slim condition!! Awesome!! Love every episode of your’s Wish you long years of successful eating
Kripal - Big fan of your channel . In Addition to rating the various options on the menu , you should rate the customer service as it is one of the key parts of the whole eating experience . Keep producing quality videos .
When i see kripal eating idly vada It is as though we r eating idli oursrlves. In another video when he is savouring food in saravana bhavan in krishnagiri we r feeling his experience. Great video

I visited this place in Aug'2019 when I came to Bangalore around 26th or 27th. When I search about this place again now, then I came to know about their huge renovation and your related video on it.
Wow one of my favourite breakfast joint in Bangalore. I have been eating in this place since 9 years it’s been amazing taste which remains same all the time.😍 Being food lover my mouth is watering looking at this video. “Love the food enjoy the food”😊

Same here... I am in Canada.. missing mangalore & Bangalore food alot... but learnt many recipes after watching his shows.... so following that for now... 🙂👍
This is epic....😍😍😍 One gets to drink at least 2 to 3 bowls of chutney for one plate idly and vade... If you observe the chutney simply gets soaked inside the idly and vade within no time.... Sweetpongal is another delicacy... My personal opinion, Coffee is really bad... Cheers....😍😍😍
World's best idlis and chutney. I lived down the road in the 70s and 80s. Pradeep is one hell of a dedicated business man - have known him for 40 years now. If i had a private jet, i would transport his idlis for a weekend breakfast in the USA. Alas! :)
Veena Stores is best food point in Malleshwaram. We used to visit this stores frequently when we were at Malleshwaram. The Owner of the store is hard working and is very good .He himself is serving the food in the picture.!
I will always watch your blog you have so much etiquette and your maner of eating is impeccable. I take it your a college educated guy I appreciate people like you. Hygiene is very important. Especially places in India and arround the world. Keep up the good work.
Very nice episode...felt like we were also tasting it...that's the magic of your description. You explain it beautifully sir. All the best for upcoming videos.☺️

Your videos are amazing to watch and gives me a good deal of insight to the South Indian food. Would be great if you venture out to some non south Indian places as well. I saw in the QnA that you've lived half hour life in Mumbai. I am a Mumbaikar as well and do give it a visit sometime. There's a lot of variety of food here, particularly street food.

You need to make a faceoff of best Idli+Vada+Chutney serving joints of Bengaluru. I'm sure that would be the most viewed vlog... Amazing content in anyways...
Kripalji , the interaction with the kids and other people was a welcome addition. Please do that in all the videos if possible. It feels much more personal and appealing. I am enjoying each and every content on your channel. Kudos to the effort once again.

Sir You Have To Shot The Videos Of Hotels Serving Good Food With Very Minimum Prices. Like Chandrahasanna Hotel In Mangalore. This My Request For You Sir, and Finally Your Videos are Very Nice and Beautiful To Watch.
The word Baath is abused in Bangalore restaurants apparently, i.e. if Baath is rice then it cant be a dish from rave (sooji), so the first hoteliers/ Darshinis who popularized fast food business are the culprits for the Chow chow Baath naming screw up. The 2 rave dishes are an excellent combo for long in wedding breakfast, etc. So the combo (Mix / mixture in kannada is 'chow chow') to attract outsiders in Bangalore (typically from outside Karnataka) was named 'Chow Chow baath'. Sweet n khara mix. In kannada, its typically called 'Uppittu for kharabaath and Sajjige for kesaribath', sajjige is also called Sheera/Shira. Some add the orange-ish food color to the sajjige and hence it was called kesari baath. These days its mostly yellow. Another 'baath' screw up in restaurants is 'Shavige Baath'
Chutney of brahmins vs chutney of veena stores ...2 different variants with their own tartness and tanginess . I want to know which kripal aman liked here

A lovely presentation of the street food yet again. I am a big fan of Kesari bhaat and Pongal. If you ever come to Bombay. Visit Ramashray, they serve delicious Pongal with ghee and Aviyal ! And its hugely satisfying. Craving for more now.. Lol..

I grew up in Dandeli and we also called it Uppittu and Sheera..never called it Khara Bhath and Kesari Bhath. Kesari Bhath is a separate preparation that is made with rice (specifically sannakki) and is prepared with lots of sugar, ghee and saffron (not the color, but actually saffron) and this is prepared on special occasions.
@@harshakanak1978 Same down here in Mysore belt, at homes still called Uppittu. No one knew anything about Khara bath, it was coined by Kundapur people for a slightly different preparation. You're right about Sheera, but it's been sometime we ve been calling Kesari bath for everything that's like similar...
Kripal...... The name Veena is the name of the owner's daughter, and veena was a classmate of my wife in her school days. I visited the stores & their home long time back. If I am not wrong, the person who served you seems to be veena's brother pradeep....
Chov chov bath is the combination of karabath & kesribath... where its comes with both... ch0v chov is a mixture call in kannada... mixture has a list of combinations like.. groundnut fried nuts and bundi & sav... all mix together and makes mixture which is chov chov
Wonderful filming 🎥great job You r doing for this community 👏 You r saving lots people's time. Thank You so much Regards Suresh Sangeetha restaurants Chennai.
Nice I am told shavige bath is real good in Veena stores.. Being from Basavanagudi I am happy to see the idli is 9/10 vs Brahmins coffee bar which got a 10/10. Malleswaram and Basavanagudi always vie for top honours. Finally for food without onion and garlic there is a stand and eat place in NR colony opp. Bus stop called South Kitchen .. You should visit that place as well. Some interesting avalakki dishes are on offer
Dear Kripal, You brought back memories of Veena store idlies after 20 years. Great review as always but this video did not have its ummmmmm, ahhhhh from you.😊😊

Hi, your narration about food you taste is like a smoot water wave. Good.
Realy fantastic video... also beautiful voice 😍
Dear Kripal,
You brought back memories of Veena store idlies after 20 years.
Great review as always but this video did not have its ummmmmm, ahhhhh from you.😊😊
Perhaps the clatter of the bulldozer working barely a whisker away drowned it out! 😀
That's great👌👌 they don't use onion & garlic. When I go to Bangalore I definitely wants to visit there.
