The owners calm realisation he didn't have the race harness on was funny!
Agree : D
Chin strap is loose as well.
🤣🤣
@@Booka3141 Helmet, 5-points and bucket seats without a Hans device is much worse anyway.
Yea I messed up big time 🤦🏻♂️😂
This is Opel and its still faster than 1000hp GTR
low boost, wet track, Opel...
It looks like the owner forgot to put it in low boost mode, that felt like a lot more than 380hp. 😄
@module79l28 yeah but remember it's only 1100kg so the car will be close to a 350bhp per tonne which is a lot and not on wet tyres either so water is just gonna spin rather than grip haha
It pulls really hard even in the wet, we certainly need this car in full power in the dry, it’s gonna be an epic ride!
gtrs are overhyped because americans couldn't get for a long time because of the 25 year import rule, so they became extra elusive and iconic in a weird way. Like a rare pokemon card that only a few could sneak in until the 25 years were up. There are many cars better than it but it still became a "legend"
That’s a brave lap!! Also, would love to see what that can do in the dry, it looks a monster!
Always a pleasure watching Misha at work. Really curious what he could do with that car in the dry.
Also, holy moneyshift! Surprised it didn't put a hole in the block at 8.000 rpm. Makes me wonder what that block is rated for.
I was looking for this comment hahah glad someone else noticed. His head might have micro cracks from this along the valve seats, but perhaps the springs were stiff enough to have prevented any bent valves.
pretty rare to throw a piston from a money shift that only goes 1000rpm above its rated limit in a decent motor.
Realized that no let me put my seat belt early😂😂
That thing had some serious grip in the wet!! What tyres was it running? - Aero and geometry aside....
What type of hydrofobic coating do you use on the windshield? Or is it just from washing the car? Have the same problem with the streaking and it drives me nuts😂 Love the car, no warning lights/no dangling-lose things inside/beautiful cage and most importantly.....not a tiny km/h scale on the cluster for me Dutchie ❤🎉
@@RaveDaver I use rainex plating screen water repellant. Rainex is great 👌🏻
Cheers dude 😁
So u cut them yourself?? whatever they were they were good! @@vxrtrackaddict399
@vxrtrackaddict399 🫤
Good to see the owner had a genuine smile on his face.
This car is mega - never seen any on the owners groups with the full BTCC kit before now! Long term plan for mine was to ask ABS Motorsport reallly nicely if they can use their moulds to do a one-off carbon BTCC front end. One day the dream will come true.
One of the most interesting cars on the channel would love to see a full spec list ex road going touring car 🤙🏻
Wait a second: A „tuned“ car and it didn’t overheat? 🤨🤪
How is this possible? 🥴😝
And it revved one time to 8.000 rpm 😃
Regardless: Great car, in the dry I guess this car will be nearly lightning fast 👏
And as always, when Misha is driving in the rain: Very interesting to see the different line 👏👍
Best wishes, Philipp 👋
Tuned properly for racing.. plus cold wet conditions I guess
@@dielaughing73 I know, it was kind of joke from my side cause a few of the tuned cars in the last videos did overheat after half a lap and then went into limp mode. So my comment was originally meant a tiny bit sarcastic 🥴😉
Best wishes, Philipp 👋
@@5ShotProductions I know.. people go silly chasing horsepower without considering the need for supporting mods.
At least most of the cars Misha drives are reasonably well set up for handling and (to a lesser extent) braking. I wonder how many he turns down, if any.
@@dielaughing73 THAT would be a very interesting question for Misha, very good point! I‘ll definitely ask him.
And you‘re absolutely right, some guys nearly double the amount of hp without considering the „heat topic“ at all. They turn up the boost, MAYBE other turbos and then forget to install a WAY bigger intercooler etc etc etc.
Under one of the last videos I also commented in a slight sarcastic way by saying: My car (2018 F31 330dA xDrive LCI, 258PS, 560Nm) wouldn’t go in limp mode on the track (of course with Misha as the driver), cause my car is bone stock. If I would ever consider a „software update“, or „different maps“ I only would do it with a bigger intercooler and even then I wouldn’t want the maximum power the engine CAN produce, I would want the power which is in the golden middle of „more power“ and „still reliable“…
@@5ShotProductions oh yeah, if you know him please ask and report back!
Freakishly fast Vauxhall, wicked driving! 👏😀👍
you mean GM ?
@@MrApplesaucestuff
Vauxhall /opel /gm
Same thing different countries 👍
except its GM. a rebrand for outside of North America customers. @@twoeyedbob
Great lap! Would have loved to have seen it in dry though....Hopefully the owner will be back again on a sunny day for a second run!
nice overrev at 3:10
It was just in neutral
Ultimate track weapon. Even in wet conditions.
Feeling the grip with the front tyres in the rain on a FWD car feels so satisfying...
9:40 - 10:00, Owners face tells it all
We need more BTCC Race Cars for Misha to drive 📢
That owner was a happy man this tour haha
Dude almost flew away at the first brake😂😂 then he remembered the seatbelt ahaha
Blue sky while driving in wet conditions is my favorite thing in the world.
GOATpel Astra 😍😍
You gotta get this thing back when it's dry
We need to see this car on full power in the dry that would be amazing content this car is amazing
very strong 380...
Misha , your skill is amazing!
I also love that the rubbing on this car sounds like a clown horn
1:35
at that point i realize the owner didnt put on his seat belt thing :-O
A very tricky conditions I think a LSD differential needs to put the power down
Amazing lap, one day I’ll have that experience too!
Almost money shift it (8000 rpm) 😅
Picked a great day to test a high HP FWD.. lo
i need to see this car in best conditions OMG!!
Die Regenlinie ist ja geiler als Schumi Barcelona 1996 ;)
Hopenlijk heeft de eigenaar een hotel geboekt en is de dag erna droog weer.🙏
The best wet lap 🎉
A former BTCC car on the ring? This has got to be the oddest combination of track and car I have ever seen.
Production touring car and BTCC goodies 👍
Turbo is a best
Ik had even niet meegekregen op welke banden je dit deed.
what tyre set up?
Get this out on full boost and dry track! 😍👌
That’s what I thought dry track full boost this will be entertaining
dry track, small traffic + oponent like gt3/m3 :D
@@kaneclone3387 I’ve been in a British touring car modern one there amazing colder track come out pitlane trying put power down they run lesson power for championship regs but sound and this brings it all back
4:25 might just be me but the rubbing makes it sound like you guys are on a rally course and the track is lined with spectators with air horns lol
hope we can see this car on dry road next year!
I didn't realize Misha is a pianist now. Touching those keys on the Apex.
What tires was this on?
Also, this 380 hp car accelerates better than a lot of supposedly 500-600 hp cars on here.
Its light! All the mechanic is in the front, putting power directly down. But i do prefer rwd lol
What a rocketship : D this would be intresting to se a dry lap on c:
Rain + stiff setup + misha using jedi reflexes to correct = intense!
Awesome lap :-)
BTCC in the day was so entertaining and although I loved the old Volvo S40's the Opel Astra's were an absolute weapon!
Loved it!
Would love to see this car again maybe next year in warm dry conditions!
On low boost this is significantly faster than the so called 550bhp Seat from the other day
Mr boost cut car I remember that car
@@Jonathanbaker What? Doesn’t make sense what you are saying?
@@superbrit3845car didn't have boos when shifting to 5th gear on full throttle
@@superbrit3845 I was referring to another video.
I want to see a dry lap on full boost that thing is awesome!
Good job it’s a non interference engine otherwise there would of been valves out the exhaust when that money shift hit 8k rpm 😬😬
Mischa is looking jacked 💪
this is gay
Can we see this in the dry 🙏
The smile on Mishas face at the end was amazing. Gitty school boy face. 😂
That BlowOff sound
Thank you to the car owner, we really enjoyed it, a wonderful car 👌
Road going TCRs are sick, I want one.
Jesus the turbo kick at 4500 rpm is insane bro, its incredible how this car handle on the wet, keep going misha :)
Dang this wet attack was insane to watch. How can you drive like that in rain lol. Amazing stuff Misha! Awesome car also
Holy shit thats a beast , imagine on full boost such an underrated car
Looks the owner is having fun 👍😀 Great video!
You have to do another run with this car when the track is dry and with high boost!😊
It was so wet, my laptop has a water damage after watching the lap .. awesome driving awesome car
Loving the content Misha! Keep up the great work! Try taking a drive in an Impreza Gc8, would be cool to watch you work one.
ok ruclips.net/video/PrFKMUec_YY/видео.html
I crashed 13 times while watching.
ok... i will restore my gtc 2.0 turbo from 2006 xd
@4:00 an EXCELLENT example for looking as far up the road as possible, whenever possible.
On exiting Aremberg if you were just focused on the immediate surroundings, in Misha's place, you might believe a Brake Check or perceive Anxiousness from the red Porsche when in fact there are headlights pointing at you 50m further up the road (when usually they shouldn't :P).
That's one lucky driver considering how far up the road they came to a stop
Funny car on funny conditions, you push the accelerator and the car start to disobey the front wheels and go straight. 😅
All the “UK cars have made up power numbers” quiet on this one 😊
Dude brought full British package, sick Vauxhall and the weather 😂
I'm one of the guys: Want it on dry condition.
3:08 😳😳😳 we made an oopsie
Lucky he short shifted 😬😂
Oh no no no.
you HAVE to repeat it at better conditions !!! pleeaaaaase !!!
The Astra is crying out for a sequential box!!!!!
Mischa, "120 bei Nasse" is in km/h not in mph. 🤣🤣🤣 BTW I really like to see this car full power in the dry. This was a really nice vid.
What are those tyres? And dang it Misha, that was one hell of a ride! Full respect!
Owner doesn’t want to say what they are. So probably non road-legal wet racing tyres, I’m guessing.
That's a serious toy. Purpose built so must have felt amazing in those conditions. The top end was vicious. Saw 150 a few times.
Very underated chassis the astra G/H there is a reason they dominated the btcc series. Even in the wet this managed 140mph before first 2 corners at at 350hp perton(ish) its not going to be a slouch.
1160 kg wet
480hp
It certainly picks up quick 👌🏻
Judging from the amount of water on track, someone tried to susitute KFC as a sacrificial offering to the rain gods.
This car needs a lap on a dry circuit, that would be an absolute belter.
Glad it Didn’t spin a bearing after that money shift 🙏
this NEEDS to come back on dry track
First
excellent
So much water that you should not even try to send it! Great driving and love to see that Opel on dry.
Yeah loved it I own a Vauxhall Corsa and I loved the way it drives and with minimum mods it'll drive even better so yeah good lap. ❤
Great to see how the wet line is so different from the dry line...
The wet line is basically just the opposite of the dry line, since the rubber on the dry line provides less grip when it’s wet.
please please try and do a dry lap in this car! its awesome!
yeeep there's a proper astra! and good job misha
Love the colors of the trees mixed with the rain and the sunlight. Makes the track even more beautiful! 🍂🍁☀️🌧️
...question to Mischa or someone who knows... so by any chance would this be the white Opel (VXR) that was seen in the rear camera that remained close to Mischa a few videos ago? Really nice track car preparation👍👏 ...(nice to see Mischa's Super Skill 👏 in the wet, but a video with a dry track would be exceptional👍
No it isn't, the other one was a "normal" street car
@@mgcharoudin Thanks for the reply Mischa, I was pleased🤝and congratulations again for your extraordinary driving on both dry and wet surfaces👍👊🔥
That was kinda crazy, from the astra and from misha 😅
What the actual &%#@ did I just see?
Magnificent lap in very trying conditions!👋👋👋👍👍👍
Quick!
The tires sound like they had a new groove in their profile after that lap, lol. Car looks like a super fun build, would be super awesome to see this driven in anger on a good day.
Thanks dude ! Was a blast 😊
I own an VXR like this one but for the road, i'm changing it for track only, and i'm looking for this bodykit, where can i found it ? In case it's possible to buy it 😁
Excellent run MC !
my good man I love your videos but why do you risk your life and your passenger's life in such terrible conditions? please come to your senses and don't drive again in wet conditions. You cant play with fire nor with rain no matter if you are skilled enough. Be blessed!!!!!
Misha 'Balls of Steel' over 240 kph on wet! ;-)
This would have been a great video if the track was dry, hopefully he comes back again in future.
This has been such an enjoyable video to watch, thank you for this amazing content Misha!
You can see water is seeping thru the steeringwheel boot. So that will conclude why the pedals will be wet.
