Just a reminder for all of those who didn't see the post: These videos are Re-uploads from our One Shot Quitchens channel. We had a lot of exciting opportunities to make more cooking content, but to be able to sustain and keep doing these videos, we had to move them to this channel. Thank you all for the support and understanding!
I'm glad you did! I think I subscribed to all the channels but since I mostly watch this one I mostly get it recommended to me and it serves as a good reminder that there's great stuff on other channels I've yet to watch.
Theory: The first bite of the garlic pasta killed the vampiric part of him, which is why he started liking the garlic dishes more and more as the taste test went on. Change my mind
When I saw you pull out the mandoline, I was so scared that this video would end in literal blood and tears. The fact that you finished with all your fingers AND an edible dish is nothing short of miraculous.
How are you cutting yourselves so much with it? Just cut your veggies or whatever and then use the press when it gets to 1/4th left, no cuts, no blood, no tears.
His description of the taste test definitely makes it feel like something Percy would come up with.... You don't notice the garlic until you're already choking on it
Hospitality Bard with Chef feat travels the multiverse to learn the best recipes and feed them to his beloved Father who's last dying wish is to taste the greatest dish ever created.
While I haven't made this actual recipe, I did get inspire to try something based off it. From this, I learned something important. By cooking the red pepper flakes in oil, the oil releases the capsaicin from the flakes, which then coats whatever you put in the oil. So, just by adding the pepper flakes, you can make it pretty spicy.
As a connaisseur of garlic dishes, this would be amazing. Also, they missed the chance to name it De Rolo Revenge Raviolo (Just to mess with the name) Love your cooking video's, honestly. Would love to see you make a dish you will actually be seriously proud of :D
The revenge pasta reminds me of Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, but in that you add a few cups of the starchy water to build a sauce and to get everything to stick.
Im a chef and i feel like 20 cloves for 4-6 people is accurate because its basically just aglio e olio which is a traditionally itallian pasta dish all about garlic, oil and parsley. A good one you cook the garlic for like 20 minutes on a simmer in probably 2x the amount of oil and add the chili flakes once the garlic is ready. Also you use the starchy water you cooked it in to emulsify the oil into a sauce. This is probably the only recipe i was disappointed in from the cookbook.
It's a shame he didn't made his previous taste testers take a bite of that Revenge Pasta. They need to pay the price for the Bread! On the bright side, that much garlic either clense your vampire blood or your system for a couple of years. For your videos i started to give D&D a third chance so my knowledge is not that big... But if i had to compare this dish to a card from the Deck of Many Things it would be either the Skull or Flame. Or maybe the Rogue (bad Tim!).
I love watching your original D&D food videos. And this looks even better then those!! Revenge is a dish best served with piping hot pasta! Edit: Smoking and typing while watching food videos and eating munchies is not recommended...
hihi^^ spanish cook here :3 that garlic mayo you did is called alioli, and in my city we eat it with paella (try it if you can!), but only add a small spoon of alioli if you are not used to it! Also be careful with those mandolinas, they are evil! I feel more safe with a trusty sharp knife. The trick is shaping the thing you are going to cut as square-ish as posible, so it doesnt slip, and your knuckles(from the hand that isnt holding the knife) should be touching the upper part of the knife, ensuring that you never expose your fingers. Edit: Yes, the oil must be added slowly to the mix, but if you add egg it doesnt matter. The PROPER way is grinding the garlic with a mortar and have another person slowly pouring oil ( a hilo) and sprinkling lemon juice but who in their right mind does that these days lol. My mom just adds everything to the mixer and call it donzos.
I like the idea of that pasta dish but I'd roast the garlic to make it a lot simpler. Just cut the top off of two heads of garlic rub em in olive oil and roast em in tin foil. Then they'd just squeeze out and be nice and soft to stir into the rest of the ingredients. Much easier.
One clove of garlic can be peeled easily by rubbing it between your hands, remove the spiky tip and 'root' end first to make it softer on your palms. For large ammounts of garlic you can toss them in between two bowls.
This is fun! 🎉 I bought the book myself... & there r a few recipes I've been too "afraid" to try making myself & it would b so cool to see u make them in all our stead! I once went to a pub in England and ordered the rosemary and garlic roasted chicken. They brought the chicken out smelled great. Until you cut into it. 😂 The smell of garlic over took the room. The fumes where so bad that the other Two families that happened to be seated in that area fled. My parents and sister couldn’t even eat their food because all they could smell and taste was the garlic from my chicken. It was so bad the staff had to open the windows. My mom joked saying if a vampire were to visit me that night it would die. Sadly none of us realized just how infused we had become with the stench of garlic until the next day when we went to get in the car and once again got hit with the pungent smell of garlic. Aside from the overwhelming garlic smell the chicken was actually really good. But I was forbidden to warm up any leftover out of fear a new garlic bomb would be made. I have no idea why they used so much garlic. I think it was called The Fox and The Hair pub. They make great food. Just that night someone really wanted to use garlic or maybe it was just a really strong bulb.
I literally bought the D&D cookbook because of your recipe battle videos. If you're going to keep using the mandolin slicer, I would suggest getting some cut resistant gloves. I feel a lot less worried about slicing my fingers off when using mine.
I wanted to make this when I got the book; but I strongly don’t like garlic (don’t ask questions) so I was considering modifying the amount and also adding fusaka to add some… spice
"Blender! WOAHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Why is that such a mood????? Also I am not surprised that the cold pasta was better, there is a reason why pasta salad exists lol
I don't know what this would taste like but really though I was salivating already when he was slicing that garlic 😂 Everytime me and my family have dinner that has a dish with garlic I would lock on to those garlic and just eat them even without the whole dish
I'm not sure if this happened, but I know on my oven. If you turn on the oven, then use the timer function, as soon as the timer goes off, the oven will turn off at the same time. So if he was using the timer for the pasta, then the oven might have turned off.
I actually made this and it turned out great! Very strong but very tasty. Made even better adding some smoked sausage to it too for extra flavour and protien!
You cannot tell me that Duke is not a vampire when he was fck angry the whole video about the fact he was making a garlic dish. He is a vampire, he may not know it but I'm sure about it
It sounds like something I might like, to be honest... But it's probably something I would work from home a few days after. Yeah, vampires aren't getting anywhere near me.
I think the only thing i would have done w/ the pasta is used some bacon in with the Garlic. Id also add some of the pasta water to help w/ emulsion when you add the pasta. Additionally, i dont think your mayonnaise properly blended. I think your supposed to add the oil slower.
Literally the only reason you'd be so angry with that amount of garlic is if you're a vampire. So...Duke...is there something you're trying to tell us?
Personally, I'm finding these videos to be educational, like the RUclips series Tasting History, yet more entertaining, unlike Tasting History, since I myself am an aspiring home cook, and I might want to try making some of these dishes myself, perhaps starting with the garlic-rich De Rolo's Revenge Pasta, since I do enjoy making some nice pasta dishes at home.
I'm about to start DMing Curse of Strahd again - gonna need to make this pasta for my party, haha! As far as new recipes to try: I vote for the Black Moss Cupcakes in Exquisite Exandria :)
wha? how?huuu? that was really funny and good and way better then i thought it was going to be and i thought the vid was going to be good already please do more of this kind of stuf it was really really good
Awesome video, but I don’t think the recipe called for elephant garlic haha was it coming out of your pores the next day? With a mayo or aioli I find it helps to throw the food processor in the freezer first to keep it from separating as you add the oil. You also may want to have that sauce going while you cook the pasta so you can mix them immediately after draining the pasta.
Why are you surprised the garlic doesn't come out as strong? 😁 That's only, like, (at most!) 6 cloves of garlic per person 😂 (25 cloves combined from spaghetti and mayo, for 4-6 people) I snack garlic cloves marinated in chili oil and would eat like half a pound in one sitting if I had a little less self-control, ngl
Misunderstood 20 CLOVES of garlic (the little dinky segments) as 20 BULBS (the whole thing). Because, like, a 1/2 cup of garlic is... That's just NORMAL pasta in my house.
In my experience there are two sorts of people. The people who think its all right and the people who would deepthroat a whole wreathe of it if they thought they would live through it. Luckily I am the latter so this recipe looks DELICIOUS.

@OneShotQuesters Could we please have another season of Heroes Feast? (This time with new recipes, and a new category, drinks)

I'm glad you did! I think I subscribed to all the channels but since I mostly watch this one I mostly get it recommended to me and it serves as a good reminder that there's great stuff on other channels I've yet to watch.
You should have made "simulacrum paste" sauce. Like a white Alfredo to even out the flavors
Theory: The first bite of the garlic pasta killed the vampiric part of him, which is why he started liking the garlic dishes more and more as the taste test went on. Change my mind
So yer saying his vampiric part was his taste buds?
ye it killed his vampire pludd

I was so scared too especially when he opened it I'm surprised it work d opened
The anger is the DeRolos spirit. Hate is a good secret ingredient. Brings the spice!
Edit: Alright, now done with the video. 7.8/10 Not enough garlic

It made me so angry-scared. Scangry.

60 clove garlic and olive focaccia

Yeah I feel like I would love this...
The revenge pasta reminds me of Spaghetti Aglio e Olio, but in that you add a few cups of the starchy water to build a sauce and to get everything to stick.
That was an awesome dish and I love garlic. Also fun fact the device you were using the chop the garlic and potatoes is called a mandoline. 😊
for the mayonaise, ya needed to add more oil slowly while it was in the processor. It should thicken up while turning.
Pasta all'aglio is actually a dish in Italy which is a but load of garlic which is pretty similar and tasty so I think the cookbook references that
contact guiness you may have set the world record for "most use of the word 'garlic'"
Im a chef and i feel like 20 cloves for 4-6 people is accurate because its basically just aglio e olio which is a traditionally itallian pasta dish all about garlic, oil and parsley. If you want to make mayonnaise, you have to drizzle the oil in as the processor is going so that it emulsifies.
- Cook the Revenge Pasta and Garlic Fries
- Blend together the Garlic Mayo
- Toss both dishes together like a salad
- Fridge that mf noodle salad

for garlic you can chop the bottom and top of clove of it and it just peels off it self
Thinly sliced garlic. 20 cloves.
