    Thank you so much for your tutorial!!! It's the most complete and clear of all PsychoPy tutorials I've found on RUclips. Your clear explanation helped me to build PsychoPy experiment for my master paper. It was successful so now I have my master degree and invitation to join PhD programme in my University :) Thanks again!!!

    Thank you Jason for this effective tutorial. I am a scholar working on priming words and using
    Psychopy to perform my experiment. This tutorial helped me a lot. Can you please suggest how can I test morphology priming using Psychopy. I am new to this concept actually

    I have a question and am wondering if you could help me.
    In 17:28 , where you created an excel file and typed in some words. I wonder if here I can insert pictures by entering their absolute path?
    Thank you~

    It is really good and useful video.cant thank you enough. I have a question. How can I add a rating scale to responses in recognition phase. I want they choose whether the word is old or new and how much are they confident? In a a 4-point Likert-type scale ranging from 0 (not at all) to 3 (almost confident).

    Hi Jason, this tutorial is great. Thank you.
    I am actually trying to build an interactive thermometer that goes up or down depending on the feedback received from another computer that is sending numbers.
    Any idea about how to do it? Actually I have a computer with OpenNFT and another with Python 3.7. The communication between both computers is via UDP but, the numbers are appearing in the Anaconda Prompt shell instead of in the PsychoPy task. Do you have any idea about how to solve this problem?
    Rosie

    Hi, after following along until 10:25 at which point I get the following error message when I try to test the Welcome Screen:
    TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for /: 'NoneType' and 'float'
    What should I do? I see a few similar posts on the PsychoPy forum, but no good answers.

    • @DrOzubko
      @DrOzubko  5 лет назад

      I'd try posting your script to the forums to see if someone can take a look for you. There must be a typo of some kind in one of your data fields somewhere but I'm not sure where it would be precisely

    Great tutorial, thanks very much! I was just wondering, why did you have the different colours for the first words?

    • @DrOzubko
      @DrOzubko  6 лет назад +1

      +Emily Cowles-Naja Thanks. I gave the words different colors mostly just to show you how you could do things like that. So you can have stimuli have secondary properties like colors or things like that and so have classes of different kinds of items. There's no other reason really than that

    How to fetch the user's input values and store it in a column of the excel file that is used for conditions?

    • @DrOzubko
      @DrOzubko  3 года назад

      Hi Pradeep. What you're trying to achieve sounds a bit complex but doable. Email me at jason@psychopyhelp.com if you still need help and maybe we can setup a quick consultation to get it working

    great and very informative tutorial
    But I can't seem to find any information or tutorials on how to use the mouse in PsychoPy. I need to create an experiment where people have to click a target stimulus among distractor stimuli, but can't seem to work out how to do this. Any tips?

    • @DrOzubko
      @DrOzubko  6 лет назад +1

      I haven't done this myself but I'd check out the "isPressedIn" function in the PsychoPy mouse event (www.psychopy.org/api/event.html)
      It looks like you can have shapes or other objects shown on the screen and then use some code to detect when a particular shape is clicked. That's about all the help I can offer at the moment. Best of luck to you though!
