This song has literally saved my life. I listen to it daily, at least once a day. I just got the words “Never Surrender” tattooed on my forearm so I could see it everyday and anytime I think of ending it all. My favorite since I was in my teens. I never knew God would use them to save me and reach me. I owe my life and being here today to them and God! To anyone out there who feels the same way, you are not alone.

Dying (and rising again) was the most HE could do for us, the least we can do is live for HIM. Our life is HIS gift to us, what we do with it is our gift to HIM. As Christians, this life is the only hell we'll ever face, whereas the non-Christian, this life (as painful, upsetting, and tragic it can be) is the only "heaven" they'll ever experience. If Job, Stephen, Paul, John the Baptist, nor JESUS HIMSELF could ever give up on the FATHER through all their pain and sufferings and tragedies they faced, then how on earth could we ever possibly consider doing so with what we face? We don't get all of our wants but HE does meet all of our needs. One grain of sand of a lifetime compared to all the rest of the sand on the entire beach and in the entire world, still doesn't compare to the eternity that awaits of no more pain, tears, or sorrow (Revelation 21:4).
I listened to this song as a young teenager. I am a 25 year old man now, and I couldn't be happier hearing an unplugged version. In my personal opinion, as much as I love both versions, this one sticks out more to me as a real you, a deeper sound than any drumset or guitar can mix together.

I just got the message that a close friend of mine ive known for 12 years died from Muscle atropy and it totally broke me bc they were there for me when I had noone. Your daughter is an angel for understanding that people need to hear this song. The LORD aka Yahweh, Jehovah is close to the broken hearted and saves those crushed in spirit. -Psalms 34:18. The ones who removed God's name from the bible and replaced it with "LORD" will be judged harshly.
