Cirice means church in old english. I always interpreted the song to be reaching out to people who have been hurt by religion. Especially in the line “your soul is not tainted, even though you’ve been told so”
As someone who grew up inside the church and then had to come to terms with realising I was gay and then my church's and my "friends" reaction after I came out, this interpretation means a lot to me and the song makes me kind of emotional. It's one of my favourites for that reason.

Your baby must be nearly 1 year old. How has it been? I have 2 boys and they are 6 & 8. I can't believe how old they are and how fast the time went. I played metal to my boys from the first day out of the womb. They loved it but now they're taste in music is changing but no matter what the songs that put them to sleep are the old metal songs I always have played. \,,/

This song probably has multiple meanings but the way I see it (going along with the satanism theme) is the devil is preying upon someone who is weak and in a vulnerable state. He’s getting on their level and saying he can see them for who they are and he accepts them for it, but it’s all just an act to get them under his wing. Satan is a master of manipulation, if he tried to hypnotize you there’s no way you’d notice. There’s a reason they call him “the prince of lies”. This song does a great job of capturing that, listening to it makes it feel like you’re falling under a spell, it’s addictive while also being dark and sorta creepy. It’s like you’re having a heart to heart with Satan himself.
