It's been several years since Simple Session had a women's class (aka Sister Session), but it's great to have the women back on the course. As always, the level of riding from event to event is always leaps and bounds ahead...here are the highlights!
WHAT IS OUR BMX?!
In short, we are the Ride BMX staff out on our own. We're building from the ground up and our goal is pretty simple. We want to continue what we love. We want to create great content, feature awesome riders, and contribute, push, and show why we love BMX. We sincerely appreciate any and all support... -Ryan Fudger, Jeff Zielinski, Adam Watkins, and Justin Benthien.

I know Angie from when I lived in Austin, she's a really good rider and a cool person. It's cool to see more girls taking an interest in BMX outside of racing. Respect to these pioneers for pushing women's riding.
May seem a bit boring but at least these girls get to compete and have fun, I’m sure the girl viewers appreciate it to and maybe even encourage them to get outside and enjoy the sport.

Great to see the girls out there doin their thing - Of course the strength differences are obvious when it comes to throwing a bike around ( same bikes as used by men ) - i think they should have an 18'' or 19'' bike and light as possible - as we know usually lighter means more expensive. You dont notice the difference so much in most womens sports with equipment used but when it comes to launching a bike for air time and tricks and the same one used by the men , you'll see it - Give some love to the girls , would love to see them at our local parks

xD This video shows that there is indeed a difference between Men and Women.
A physical difference. Women don't need to have that much red muscles because the Men were the hunters a fews thausand years ago. Thats why men have better muscle memory which is important for bmx.

When I used to ride, I always wore a full face at the park. Launching yourself off these ramps, wearing that could be the difference between shaking it off and continuing to ride for the day, or going to the hospital and not being able to ride for a while. Or ever again.
Speaking of which. I thought that chick was for sure bout to face plant at 7:19.
Cool to see girls ride like this. Weird thing was, most of them seem skilled enough to be able to have more than one trick in their bag over the box jump. But a lot of them kept doing the same trick. I know it's easier said than done, though. Was still some sweet riding.
I rode with Angie and a few others at a park in San Diego last week, nice work on the 5th place!
Guys just have that raw body strength that women don’t have when doing jumps, too much air and when they hit the ground their muscles or grip buckle.

Nah, it was completely relevant. No one starts out with clicked turndowns and some people struggle with them for 20 years and still suck at them. Regardless riding is always about having fun. Why do you have so much free time to devote towards shit talking other riders anyway? Why would you want to spend your time that way?

Great riding. That course would have me shaking for hours trying to clear each jump. My adrenaline or energy would have to be at 100% for me to complete a whole run. 3/4 of those tricks I haven't even learned yet. I think women's freestyle bmx is going to get bigger than men's freestyle bmx. This is what bicycles are about. Progression in real time right here.♥️

Extremely boring.
While I appreciate the inclusivity of this, i feel like Darryl announcing their runs like he does (which is great and exciting when men ride) just doesn’t translate to women and almost seems patronizing getting excited over them airing and doing tricks that you can see many middle school age kids doing at just about any local park. That being said these girls are great and if all this even inspires one little girl to say fuck you im gonna do what I want be it bmx skating or whatever else then it is worth it
I just recently started Bmx and the shit they do is very very hard and they deserve the hype they get for sure

I think the biggest problem with female BMX is the women see what the men do and try and emulate it. As in. Just go hang out and ride with no gym time. Girls do not put on muscle the same way men do. Like with female downhill riders. There's a reason there is 5 or so women killing it at a time. And it's because they are the ones busting ass all the time to be able to preform at a higher level. I also don't think there is enough thought going into the size of the damn bike or getting lighter frames/parts. Most of the girls look like they are riding full size bikes not BMX bikes.

Thx for the Upload! I was unable to see the Livestream on sunday. In my opinion it is pretty cool to have girls competing at such a big event and maybe inspire other girls to try out BMX. What realy pisses me off is this comment section. Nobody forced you to see this video. Why are you hating on those Girls? I think your just jealous nobody flys you to estonia for bike riding. I ride BMX for 12 years now and I'm glad to see more and more girls at the Skatepark just enjoying skating and doing BMX. Maybe it's because your afraid of girls and thats why you want the Skateparks to stay a dickparade but thats bullshit. Just enjoy riding your bike and the progression you can afford. It's all about fun and that's it. Just be happy for anyone who can make a living out of BMX and stop beeing a douchback on the Internet.
I don't really agree dear friend! Everyone has the right to watch this video as it's posted on youtube and mostly if they like BMX! Everybody has the right to give their opinions, their views and their impressions on the comments. Those girls are certainly doing their best do make a good competition and you support them, that's very nice of you ! BUT we can not say that it's wonderful or amazing ( if it's NOT ) just because they're girls. That's called sexism. Nowadays we are looking for EQUALITY.and we must apprecite skills, speed, style, energy of anyone without difference ( male or female ). Now if you allow me, i'm gonna give my impressions: This competition is annoying for me, and the announcer is enervant and delirant in his comments. Here it is.

And there is the answer to your question of why female riders don't earn as much as the men. I think it's pretty obvious and a dumb question really.
yes they don’t earn as much but that’s because it’s much harder for a woman, who has a much smaller strength level, to do things that big strong men could do. at least they’re having fun doing it and many young girls look up to them for that reason :)
The equivalent to a junior division...I've seen kids on 16inch bikes that do way more...I saw like 1 feeble grind, barely any tail whips or bar spins....yeah there was some decent tricks but I feel the bar should be set higher for womans bmx...like how

I know they have to start somewhere and I know that some of those ramps were a bit too big for the girls but to be honest this was painful to watch and it's kinda annoying that every big contest now also features a women's comp even though they are clearly not ready for the big stage yet.
