Again an other mid 20s gem, from this orchestra which consistently manage to produce highly sturdy and syncopated dance orchestrations through out the end of the decade, setting the Ultimate sound flare, despite considered to be a Dime store band… thank you for sharing.
Definitely Sam(my) Lewis with his crazy trombone and William Covington “Bill” Perry’s maniac piano in addition to doing the arranging work. Tuba player is Hank Stern. And you can hear also Harry Reser’s banjo as well. BTW, Fletcher Henderson’s Gennett recording was my introduction to this great tune!
