*Eddie was in Europe when Chris(Cornell..my favorite) passed and sang Black in tribute to him. When he got to the line "we belong together" Eddie broke down. It's beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time. They were very close💔*

The pain, anger and finally resolve portrayed in Eddie’s voice gets me every time. One of the reasons “grunge” music will always be my favorite. Grunge, to me, is all about emotion . Fun fact: Eddie once heard someone singing this song in public and he got pissed off. He didn't want anyone else singing it, it's that personal.
I can actually see why he might feel that way. I don’t even wanna know where he goes when he performs this one, it’s so dark and painful.
i really doubt that, sorry this doesnt sound like eddie. if that would be the case, he would said it multiple times but still pearl jam fans cover this song. there are so many out there. i am sure if that is well known, then they wouldnt have done that. if you dont mind, could you show me where you read/saw that?
@@floydbarber7528 Hey, thanks for commenting this and making me do my research. So, I don't remember where I saw it originally but I did more research and apparently he did not yell it, but he did say it in an encounter with fans. Also, he was adamant about Black not being a single or used in album promotion. I honestly believe Eddie did not want Pearl Jam to be a huge band in general. Man I forgot about the unplugged version of this song. Way more mellow. This is off the debut LP, that took off for them, and has many rockers on it. Temple of the Dog was a small side chick, for both Vedder & Cornell. PJ was 1M times bigger in every aspect for Vedder. Jeremy was probably their biggest hit when they got introduced to the world. I’ve loved Pearl Jam since I was 13 and finally got to see them live a few years back and they were absolutely unreal!!! They still have it! Btw, was totally distracted by that badass tat on your forearm!! I’m a sucker for sick tats! Is that a man screaming into a mic? 🤘🤘🤘
I think Eddie Vadder has a great voice. He does some great songs with Chris Cornell that are awesome.

Trevor Wilson, the actor who played Jeremy, died in 2016 in a drowning accident in Puerto Rico. He was 36. RIP Trevor.

For me there are 2 bands that stand out for me. Nightwich and Pearl Jam. They have the best singers and musicians and live they are great! Ever experienced Pearl Jam in 1992 at Pinkpop. You can find it on RUclips. Awesome! Nice reaction.

He botched his own lyrics. He wasn't supposed to say, "My bitter hands cradle broken glass" after the first verse, but during the second (which he also did). He was suppose to say, "I know she gave me all that she wore.." after talking about how he taught her everything.
