I've used this palette a few more times after filming and editing this video. I struggled with blending every look I've done this week. This palette is a pass for me. I do not recommend it. Like I said..... all the other creators had a lovely experience. I'm just sharing my honest opinions with you.
Unfortunately, I don't think all creators are super honest OR they don't mind having to blend and blend and blend. There's been 2 reviews I've seen that you could tell it wasn't Blending and then the video cut and went to where it was blended. If I didn't any better I wouldn't have even noticed. Not saying they all did that, just saying I noticed on two of them. And these days a lot of the brands and creators seem like they are friends so I take ALL reviews with a grain of salt. 😂 I appreciate your honesty.
Thanks for your honesty! I’m so glad you do because me as a normal consumer have to make choices when it comes to eyeshadow palettes. Aside from the quality, I think this colour story is ALL over the place. It’s not aesthetically pleasing to my eyes haha. I don’t like this at all. Never tried this brand but all her previous palettes look a lot better!
You know I've always loved and appreciated your honesty. First your swatches are gorgeous 😍 I love all the colors in this palette like you after owning and trying soooo many palettes especially indies you know quality mattes and shimmers. Personally I don't have time to blend mattes but maybe for others they're willing to work with it!

I think the concept is cool and I respect Christina for putting forward some type of recognition and honoring her family, heritage and tradition. It's a pretty color story, however, it's too large and in charge for me. I'm sure I have a lot of these colors and tones already in my collection. Also, with Christmas coming I can't afford to purchase anything just because it looks nice it has to be very thawed out and strategically planned wisely if you will. That also being said I am definitely a fan of Gourmande Girls! ... Discount however I will be passing on! I'm just going to call you the queen of swatching I love to come to your channel and see what you create and how you present ... it's truly lovely!

@@darkeyedfran when it comes to color, I think Blend Bunny, BBB, and ER has some amazing matte and shimmers. Very easy to use!! You can create a gorgeous color look in 5 min.
I plan on picking up this palette still and give it a try since I love Gourmande Girl's spooky season releases. But the price point did throw me off a bit with the shimmer to matte ratio.

I love this color story but will be not buying this one I can dupe it with beauy bay mega palllets I wish this had more pigment and more shimmers 4 isnt enough for 64.99 but, you talked me into wanting the xmass one so pretty just waiting for it to come down in price.
I only own one GG palette and it’s amazing quality, and I know you have a bunch from them too so the fact that you struggled with the entire thing makes me think you got a dud. Because you definitely know what you’re doing, Brittany. The looks came out pretty, but I can see that they were a fight to create.

I’m just gonna go ahead and say it - I think sometimes people get swayed by PR or don’t want to get kicked off a list, so they don’t complain. Or they barely use a palette and don’t test it. It’s more likely you got a dud than it’s you. Honestly. You know what you are doing. But I feel it’s possible that people are doing what I said above. Maybe not intentionally. I don’t know. Disappointed to hear no one else is saying anything. Makes me leary
@@marywiththelonghair1330 I feel like I have used so many palettes over the past 10 years.... I can tell by swatching if something is up. If I have a feeling something is odd, then I make sure to do lots of looks. I feel like we are living in a time where most of the palettes launching will be great quality. It comes down to if the color story is for you, BUT sometimes like this palette.... things can suprise you lol. I'm sure if people are friends with brand owners, things can get difficult to review without being biased. I always keep it professional with brand owners when it comes to the indie world. I truly think I have a dud. I know my friend Aleisha Budget Beauty would have been honest if her palette was bad, even though she is friends with the brand owner. Also my friend Smithsony didn't have the best experience with a few shades. No one can always give every palette a positive review. I'm thinking a lot of creators just skip posting a YT video if it is less than. Now who knows with the short form content pr. You can't really fake it on YT if that makes sense. That's a huge reason why I've always loved YT over short form content.

A shame because I love the theme...color story...also recently found out Gourmande Girls is Latina (woman of color owned)...I only own the Haunted palette and based on that...I was smitten and in love with it, however, the shimmers were chunky and lacking binder!
OMG, I was going to order it but now I am scared. What if mine turns out to be a dud too? It's an expensive palette! I have the spooked palette and that was incredible quality.

All these indie brands are private label it's rare for small businesses to manufacture in house unless your pat McGrath or natasha denona it's difficult to own your own formula 😉

I understand what it represents. I have dealt with things in my life that cause skulls to trigger my family and I. Not something I can share on the internet. I think Christina and Doodlesbythebunny created a beautiful palette with meaningful packaging and theme. I love that it represents her heritage. That doesn't mean I have to like it for myself. You can watch all the other reviews & see how much they love it👍 This packaging isn't for me, but I am so happy for the brand.
They are just skulls. The Hispanic culture just decided to use “skulls” for the symbolism of their holiday..So for someone who isn’t Hispanic yes they are “skulls” She even goes to mention that the pallet represents “Day of the dead” so she’s aware of that. Skulls have been a very prominent figure way before “Day of the dead” so for someone to say “they don’t like skulls” doesn’t make them ignorant. I can’t imagine in 2024 with it being a Hispanic holiday if she says “I don’t support or like day of the dead..” so let’s not blow her opinion out of proportion by stating that she lacked knowledge or understanding about something when she clearly states what the pallet represented.
I think you’re the one being ignorant. When she said she didn’t like skulls, I automatically thought there must be some personal reasons behind it, because it’s not a common thing to hear. Plus, everyone knows it’s part of their culture, so obviously Brittany wasn’t saying it to be rude about the culture. I just used a little critical thinking skills 🙄
