Stunning work, but doesn't it make you appreciate those who accomplish the same levels of marquetry by hand. Makes me feel proud to be a Yorkshireman!

You must have put a lot of "time" into this project and, you just don't get "second" chances with such "minute" details. Brother, you have great "hands". I would have been well and truly "ticked" off after the first couple of "hours". Anyway, on the "face" of It, it was a real pleasure to "watch" you creating such a beautiful and "timeless" piece of furniture. A real "gem". STOP ME!

A fabulous piece, such quality. Just a slight point I must mention though. Yorkshireman to Yorkshireman. I know your template wasn't made by you but for future reference the "4" in roman numerals on clock faces is generally "IIII" rather than "IV". Subtle I know. There are not many clock faces with a "IV" (Big Ben is one!) but the reason behind it is that from an aesthetic point of view it balances out better with the "VIII". Doesn't matter really except to pedants like me!

If you don't like looking at foam egg cartons, You can hang shag carpeting of whatever color you prefer. The millions of fuzzy strands actually absorb sound better than the expensive foam acoustic panels.
To keep all those tiny bits together, you can put a few layers of high-tack vinyl sign application tape on the backside of the veneer before lasering. Adjust the laser to cut through the veneer but not the tape.

You get a laser to "make some cool stuff" and proceed to make a watch out of multiple types of wood veneers with what seems like 5000 individual pieces paying such attention to detail I'm left absolutely stunned.
Oh and then....just make it all three dimensional and make a table outta the entire deal.

It's so refreshing to have a channel where it's not a repeat of another workshop bench build or building a pergola in my garden etc etc, thousands of videos all doing the same thing, (don't get me wrong, I do like them and do watch them at times) but projects like these that push creativity to the next level is what it's all about and I for one I'm grateful for that. Thanks

The Blue or red things are the jewels to reduce the metal to metal wear. So when you see it on the watch case back say 24 jewel movement
you know it's a pretty good mechanical or mechanical automatic time piece. Those jewels today are mostly lab created sapphires and rubies and they reduce the wear and tear on the gears and springs. 🇺🇸
