im an obby player and we are really familiar with this phenomenon
Roblox tries to accurately represent what you’re doing in the frames that you cant see (to other players) so it makes it a smooth transition from one place to another. So say if you use 60 fps, you’d look like you’re walkiing normally. but on 5 or even 1 fps, you would be looking like someone attached a string to you and started making you do a dance
When beating obbies, we consider 75 or less to be legit, as above that, the physics start to get too different and it can lead to both advantages and disadvantages occuring. If you beat a really hard obby on like 5 fps, that’s just ggs, because theres practically no advantage.
Anyways the reason 1k fps and 240 fps are the same is because:
1) monitors dont really go higher than 240 unless they’re expensive so it might not even render with it anyway
2) you literally cant notice a difference since 1000fps is 1 frame per millisecond, and 240 is around 1 frame per 4.167 milliseconds, and your eyes just dont work that fast, so you cant see it

its really not a nasa pc. I get more fps but my game isnt that smooth because of its ping. You have low ping that is why it's looking like this. My ping switches to 280-511 often. Theres barely any server in my neighbor country
