So good to see you refreshed! The climb is worth the views and that was some climb and those were some views. I did not know Baden powell founded the boy scouts! Keep on hiking and Happy Trails!!
The tree was pretty cool. Some of those drop offs on the sides are not something you want to fall down. It would be hard to stop. Ouch. Don't like bushwhacking. John from MI
Wrightwood is a really nice town not much there but probably the nicest people in S Cal. Being that close to L A you would think you would see tons of people but I have never seen anyone but PCT hikers in the area.
Wow, only a few videos ago, hikers I'm following were trudging and struggling up Baden Powell in the snow and now it's all but gone. Also, it may be too early to mention this but if you make it to the sierra there is a bridge outage. There is a bypass to the San Joaquin bridge outage that does not involve hiking out to Bishop and back. The bypass which was done by another hiker I'm following, RUclips channel "D J Seiersen", in episode 59. It is called the Andrew Skirka bypass. Starts soon after Muir pass. He said it was about 2 miles and rejoins the PCT beyond the bridge outage.
Have you encountered any smoke from the fires yet? I’m writing this Sunday and the Post fire smoke is thick where I live in Juniper Hills just north of you in /sulphur Springs. I was hiking around Guffy campground above Wrightwood on Friday and think I recognized the trail from your video! Such fun to follow you and know you are so close.
That frog closure is BS. They need to either reopen and maintain it, or establish a permanent reroute that doesn't involved put hiker traffic on an unsafe road (when there's traffic).

No smoke - but we’ve been off trail since Wednesday. We were right by Guffy!
