Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed this. So many other diverse musicians and entertainers in my Music Playlist ruclips.net/p/PL2pG1WhjsTCL6Wj596MvUauQ71qEqu1o8 I appreciate your support!
Shukran -Thanks Zans. Please translate or explain what it means to you. Often we like the feelings of music. Often we like the words. Most like the FEEL of the music before ever truly analyzing the words. As an English teacher these last 24 years, I love when young people begin to HEAR and appreciate the Poetry and messages within their favorite songs. I have no idea what Moshen or others are saying but I appreciate the passion and sentiments. Additionally, as stated in the Descriptions, I just happened along and this concert was taking place. He was one of three groups I saw and I’m happy to have been introduced to his and other “Immigrant Voices”. As a lover of The Arts and an admirer of all those able to paint, sing, draw, sculpt, and otherwise create (none of which I can do), I continue supporting them because their dedication and honing of their crafts lifts me and others regardless of truly understanding. Like a smile or a laugh, music - The Arts - are universal. Thanks for sharing - feel free to continue explaining what this and other Content means for all of us to learn more. Also please check out “Interviews Playlist” and “Old Dog Learns Anew” - I’m also a life-long Student, learning as much as I can along the way.
@@doepicshiiiiit4138 Mohsen Namjoo actually brings some new ideas in iranian music culture, one of them as an example is that he says why we should always sing persian traditional music with serious traditional old poems? he showed that we can simply sing like traditional but with new,fun,... poems. not just necessarily old serious poems. thats the main reason he is famous for. he also explores alot in different generes of music. something about 15 years ago he sang a song in which he sang some parts of the holly Quran with traditional music :) after that, they made him leave the country. its name is "shams" if you wonder to listen maybe.
Zans, again much appreciated this information and I’ve watched several of his other songs but had no idea what they were saying, though I liked the FEEL of many of them. I feel privileged to have been able to see him in this hour-long set in New York three years ago. I’ll check out “Shams”, though I think I’ve already heard it a couple of times - the links in my Description may include a concert where he played it. Again thanks for these comments. I’ll add your insights to my Description so others can better understand and appreciate this incredible performer and what he means to Iranians and others globally, including Artists trying new creative ideas and other things in challenging circumstances.

Lyrics translated from Azerbaijani - in comments on above site
"Oh my poor heart, cry less
shed a few tears from my eyes
put a little sadness and tears on my soul
oh, how much I cried from my heart
that is why I have had nothing but sorrow in my life
your look killed me
I'm waiting for your way
so that I can see your moon face
Your face has become my sajdegâh, my moon, my kabe
My heart was captivated by the curls of your curly hair
come sit with me for a while
I'm sick of waiting for you, my love
now end the resentment, the separation
because I fell into your trap and the bird of the heart became your prey
My heart is burning for you, but you don't know
ah, why doesn't the sigh that burns my lungs affect my heart, beautiful
come to my lap, come and see what happened to me without you
oh my skin, my silver face, come and see my moist eyes
O soul, O old man,
oh dear, the night before
oh dear, when a month enters my dream
oh dear, he was informed
O soul, my heart, I am moon-faced,
O soul, that you will come to me.
oh dear, come
oh dear, see.
oh dear, how sweet and sweet you are to me.
O soul, my heart
O soul, you adorn
O soul, comfort my heart with faithfulness."
