Hi Busy B! Greetings from all your friends in Toronto Canada I love your site Could you perhaps show how to restore the flip on a 1960's vintage Midge Keep up the fantastic work!
Hello and welcome to my channel, Richard Swinbusk. Thanks for your comment. I could do that but I don't have a Midge that needs curls at the moment. I will put it on my list and see if I can find a suitable Midge somewhere.
Brava, Busy B!!! Your artistic hands and mind brought this pretty Vintage Francie back to alive. A few months ago, I bought a very tlc Vintage Midge back to life. She had no brows, no lip paint, one whole eye and one-half eye. She's so lovely now. Unlike you, I'm an amateur vintage-Barbie-doll restorer (and doll collector, including various types of early-vintage Barbies), so I appreciate learning so much from you. I'm a newbie subscriber to your channel, and I'm enjoying every moment of binge watching!🤩👏🏾👏🏻👏🏿
Hello and welcome to my channel, Gabriela Paulinho. Thanks for your comment. I'm glad when I can help with my videos.Let me know if you are missing topics I have not covered with my videos yet. I'm always open for suggestions.
Oh my. Great job! I feel like I should be able to do that. Thank you for all the tutorials. Love your videos. I was not getting them so I finally just went to your channel and am now binge watching. Ha ha.
I think that I like the way you do re-rooting with a sewing needle taking the hair all the way through the head out the neck to be tied and knotted, then pulled back into the head. It's better than pouring glue into the head and hoping for the best, and having it leach out into the hair over time.!
I just found your channel. I know this is an old video, but I just wanted to let you know that You did an amazing restoration job on your doll. She is absolutely beautiful. Best regards, Ute.
Maybe this video is two years old but the technique how to do it has not changed since then. Thanks for your comment @baldwinleatherworks. I'm glad you like my work.
She is just beautiful. I do have two questions… Have you ever tried retouching a doll’s eyebrows? Francie’s eyebrows look like they could use A little touch up. Also, have you ever tried adding blush to her cheeks? It’s fairly simple. I use fabric markers, because they aren’t permanent and are easier to blend in. What I do is I apply a small spot on each cheek and then blend it in using a Q-tip or small cotton ball. I go slowly and if I need to add a little more I do that. If I’ve put on too much, I can wipe it off with a Q-tip. It needs to be reapplied from time to time, but it’s easy to do.
Hello and welcome back to my channel, Psalm 37v4. Thanks for your comment. I tried to retouch the eyebrows but I was not satisfied with the result. I have an idea how to solve the problem but I'm still working on the solution. Whar kind of fabric markers do you use? I heard of different brands but I have only chalk at home for blush.
It's so impressive! I have somd old toys like Kamar doll, so I wonder that the dental peel that you used to your old barbies would be good to kamar doll.
Hello and welcome to my channel, Jeanne Kim. Thanks for your comment. I think it could work when you can take off the head. It does not harm the doll neither the make up.
@@BusyBfromGermany I bought Polident. I hope that it will work to my Kamars and old liccas. Realy appriciate to you that always share good tips for carring old girls.
@@BusyBfromGermany ....I've been learning so much from your videos. I went back to see your older videos, and your confidence level is rising. I can tell...You were so shy at the beginning, but now you are really confident and not afraid of the camera. Keep up the good job. PS-I loved your Francie Re-rooting videos especially. I am going to re-root my blonde Francie using your techniques. ...Lina
@linaanne3101 Thank you for your comments. I'm planning new Francie videos for the future. I'm still searching for a suitable head for another reroot. The body is here but the head is still missing.
Hello and welcome back to my channel, John Donaldson. Thanks for your comment. I was asked to do this by many of my viewers. Unfortunately I was not able to find another Talking Barbie worth to be repaired here in Europe in the last years. I got the one that I made the videos about already in an open condition.
Hello and welcome to my channel, Jeanne Johnsen. Thanks for your comment. I was not able to find out which trademark the lip paint I used here is from. The seller does not offer it anymore. For all other colors you can't do anything wrong with Liquitex heavy body and for the lips I recommend the cadmium free colors from Liquitex. You can see it in this video ruclips.net/video/j4zgJgyEyMs/видео.html.
Hi Lisa and welcome to my channel. Thanks for your comment. That's right. It's curved. It's a pair of scissors for embroidery. I've done a whole video about my scissors. You can watch it here ruclips.net/video/CxkZ11cRD7s/видео.html.
Hi there @danngrant2718, thanks for your comment. I made the plastic caps myself and you can see here how it can be made ruclips.net/video/Tb2f8yH7baw/видео.html. I hope your question is answered now :-)

When you really want to do this go and search for Ben Truwe. He's a more experienced Barbie doc in Talking Barbie than I am.

My thrift store Francie is also yellow. I am going to try the denture tabs. What scissors did you use for her hair trim? They were curved, I believe.
