- Doug Ford came under repeated attack from both the NDP and Liberal leaders during Sunday's provincial election debate while Kathleen Wynne delivered a hashtag-worthy phrase into her opening statement.

I'm confused as to how you think these companies would just leave the country? Because they have to pay a little extra in taxes, ironic since many send their profits to tax havens in the tropics, where's the putrage there? Actually I recall 36,000 Long Term Care Beds that were initiated just before 2000, because those of us who were developing the 'new design for Homelike Environment' in LTC had sweatshirts that said "2000" because that was our 'goal date' to get them going. Ontario is STILL using those same 36,000 LTC beds all over the Province and since then the government has done zip to build anywhere near that number of beds since them.
Let's stay as far away from the Cuban system as possible. There's a reason we come back to Canada after our vacations. Never NDP.

Horwath is going to be the next Premier. Question is will she govern with a majority or minority? Ford choked this election at an astronomical clip worse than either Hudak or John Tory before him. His recent election law violations - attending fundraisers and buying memberships may have even out done the damage of Patrick Brown's misconduct torpedo. Horwath's jab at Wynne about pharmacare just for people under 25 and over 65 is not fair was a gut punch. And she was wise to use the Car hood analogy to attack Ford's lack of a costed platform and updates on the 407 data scandal. I think Wynne was burned toast along time ago but the last debate may help a few of her mpps including herself save their seats and wield some power as kingmakers in a minority situation like the Greens have over the NDP in BC.
Horwath wouldn't allow others to speak , kept interrupting and speaking under her breath , so annoying. The NDP would cripple the province , maybe worse than Bob Rea did.

Ford says that he has spoken to hundreds of businesses across Ontario and they're terrified. I'm sorry to hear that but the NDP is the best party for Ontario. It's the best party for Canada and each and every province and territory in Canada.
Those same business owners who spoke to Ford, I'm sure, would love to have lower taxes in Canada but on the flipside, I'm sure they would love to expand their business and branch out into China and earn money there too.
China has a 25% corporate income tax Caada has a 15% federal corporate income tax. Also, China has a 45% personal income tax, a 25% federal corporate tax, 17% sales tax.
The NDP has a plan to buy back Hydro One and reduce hydro rates. The conservatives don't have a plan to do anything about the hydro prices. Doug Ford has only talked about hiring the CEO of Hydro One and that's it. He has no interest in reducing hydro rates like the NDP because he has no idea what to do. He doesn't even understand how a bill becomes a law in Ontario.
So, the NDP have a plan and it works for everyone. Doug has a plan to hire "the 6 million dollar man" and scrap the foreign buyer's tax to the benefit of wealthy Chinese and Korean millionaires and billionaires. He wants to reduce the corporate tax rate from 11% to 10% which has already been shown to save the biggest companies in Ontario billions of dollars. That's billions of dollars that could pay for student's education, affordable daycare, public transit, I could go on and on.
Doug has already stated he wants to ADD an additional 5 billion dollars in funding for public transit ON TOP of the billions of dollars the Wynne government has already allocated. This guy is incompetent and he doesn't understand just how badly he is going to explode the debt.
The debt to GDP ratio of Ontario is only 37% right now, but he's going to ruin it further.
For reasons that are so obvious, everyone should vote NDP. Patrick Brown is gone and the conservatives have no one good to chose anyways. Liberal's. Aren't you people tired of the 15 years of government you've had? It's time for change and the NDP are the necessary change we need.

Wynne only cares about Ontarians election time and is too busy chumming it up with corps.
