I had the pleasure of looking around in detail 2 of the Capris used in The Professionals this year. 👍

You drove a mini. No one had a mini like yours. I have always had capris. I wish my passenger seat had a little mini like yours. My clock would of been sticking out and upstairs in my tent sunroof. My clock trying it out would of needed, done, tryed, flirting, a perfect dream. I waste more on body fluid than petrol.

The working man’s Porsche . By the time I could afford one, it was all about the XR’s. My mate had a 1.6 Calypso. It was a 1.6 but had the two tone paintwork like the 2.8i

First car was a Capri 1.6 Calypso. Forest Green over Strato Silver. I wanted a Capri definitely because of the Professionals. 😊

Ive lost count of the amount of capri’s ive owned in my now 55 years on this planet.. my last 4 in reverse order were a met blue 2.8i special ( 1985 build ) with LSD and half leather , before that 3ltr GHIA , Auto ,before that 3.0 S in black , before that 2.0 S in orange! ..and several GL’s etc before the aformentioned ones…just to clarify.. ford did put the Xflow in the mk 1 2/ possibly 3 ? but only as a 1300cc .. and 1600 in the mk1 which was around 67 bhp (1300) and pitifully slow ,thankfully i didnt own a 1300… mine were 1600 and up to the top of the range ..enjoyable video ! brought back many a memory !

Great video guys on my favourite car. Sarah I taught you well, lol. Every UK 1.6 & 2.0 Capri from 1972 onwards had a 'Pinto' engine in it. Sarah looks like shes got mustard all over her top lip, lol. The Capri Laser was a fantastic run out model for the 4 cylinder Capris with a great specification. 👍

I had a Capri Laser too with a 2ltr engine. Even that had some go in it.

I had a D reg 1.6 Laser in the late 90s after growing up with The Professionals. Loved it but was a bit a bit if a rot box!

Ford were running the range down by the time the Lasers came out. Ford couldn't fit a comfortable seat in it. The late 70s cars were much better. Especially the GLs and up. The back axle broke on my 83 model.
