Aplauding the fact that Peter gets to eat some cake and drink some milk is so wholesome and righteous. Seeing him get all the slack that he does the whole movie, receiving some kindness is big difference in his life and for us viewers. I remember watching a video a couple years ago about how Peter is the perfect protagonist in this movie, literally every little thing is against him but he never complains about it which makes the audience stand by him all the way and want to see him succeed
Aunt May is the only person in his life still fully on his side and yet he pushed her away by choosing to tell her the truth about Uncle Ben, simply so SHE could have closure and stop blaming herself for it. Pulling her hand away and leaving the room was such a powerful moment. Superhero films just don’t have real human moments like that anymore. One of the best scenes ever that shows Peter’s true selflessness. Then Aunt May being the inspiration she is, forgives him and gives him one of the best monologues in any superhero film, putting the pieces together that he’s Spider-Man and steering him back on course, telling him that the world needs him.

MJ is so misunderstood. In her first film Peter rejects her after she came forward several times, in the second she moves on with her life and he continues to make her doubt but rejects her again. MJ doesn't know Peter is Spider-Man, from her perspective Peter is just a terribly indecisive guy... in the third film ego gets involved, but in the end their love wins. Personally, I like a movie theater like this.
It's because everyone's seeing them at home or on Netflix and Disney+.
I prefer an audience who reacts normally to a movie and doesn't shout at the screen like smooth-brained attention-seekers
