Went to Fiji for the first time in 87’ with my wife and kids. Had my first experience trying kava on that trip and I can say it wasn’t very pleasant the first time. I love the way Fijians can sit around the kava bowl and sing beautiful music and laugh like there’s no stress or worries in the world. We have since went back and visited your beautiful country over 15 times since 87’. So many fond memories for our kids growing up and making life long friends. BULA, TAKI. 😊

Tongan kava has different properties. It's lighter in taste, but not effect. It's also more heady, Fijan is usually more balanced or relaxing . (Think Indica vs sativa with cannabis)
Used to start off with 75g then now mixing 250g per mix. Love the affects it gives with the boys to spin some yarns. Half kilos to a kilo a night until morning then work. Fuzzy to be working while still being on kava. Miss those nights.

To anyone reading this, you’ll still get arrested for drinking kava and driving if you’re intoxicated. You might not get a DUI, but you’ll get a DWI same as someone driving high on weed or pain killers. If you can’t pass a roadside test, you’ll get arrested. Also, it’s just a bad idea to drive intoxicated in the first place.
There was actually a study that found that Kava does not impair driving at all. So even if your pretty high, your driving will still be good. Obviously use your common sense, and if your too tired, dont drive.

I'm so glad I found your video. My friend brought me a bag of the kava in your video from his homeland Tahiti and I literally had no idea what to do with it. He tried to explain it to me but we were rushing around and I didn't get a good explanation. I've been afraid to try it so I've added a teaspoon to my almond milk in hopes of helping my pain and anxiety. I would love to participate in a Kava Ceremony though. Thank you for the video.
Hi i know it has been a while since you posted your comment but since nobody said anything i will Just in case you didn’t know, you don’t want to consume the powder/plant material itself. It’s like coffee or tea where you don’t want the whole plant but just what is dissolved.

If you're having it in a group setting the first bowl of Kava you have is generally called the "Bula Bowl" which is where you say "Bula" and greet everyone around you. After the first bowl, it's basically a numb voyage back to the islands LOL

That's not true Tonga's like there kava strong..
I'm sure I read that Fijians drink weak kava, so they can keep drinking it all day. This is so confusing. I want actual surveys done now.
