Please don’t forget Jason Alden was the guy on stage in Las Vegas when the mass shooting happened. He has experienced senseless violence and tragedy 1st hand!!!!
I am from a small town. when some of the City Madness looting and causing chaos 2 years ago they found out they do not come to a small town. There were cops at the top of the courthouse stairs and civilians at the bottom of the courthouse stairs protecting the courthouse and the cops with AR-15 and other weapons. There were armed civilians all over downtown protecting mom-and-pop shops, all armed. The mob observed the situation about 30 minutes and left. We as a community stood our ground and nothing was damaged. When it was over the cops and the civilians shook hands, thanks each other and there were no questions asked as to where all those AR-15 came from. We took care of our own
you're pretending not to find it racism in that song. the major criminals and riot in the music video are black guys and Jason sings come over the small town where he is waring them with rifles his granpa gave him. If you are black guys (I'm asian), how about your feeling after watching this? 🤪 I'm not American and black, BUT I feel this song is absolutely to make Donald trump supporters angry and hatred to Black guys and people lives in a big city.
Well I live in a small town, it’s about 2 degrees of separation.😆 If there’s someone you don’t know, you definitely have plenty of friends of friends. And living in a cities and small towns I’d have to agree there’s just some stuff that’d never fly in a small town. 🤷🏻♀️
I have lived in a small town my whole life and yes we watch out for our neighbors. Doesn't matter what color they are or nationalities they are, we are a community. And, almost everyone owns a gun or guns, and when it comes to protecting their families they will use them, this is not a threat, it's just fact!!! And, no one, I mean no one burns our flag!!!! If they see you do it, you might be in for a real fight!!! We are very proud of our Nation and our Flag because we know a lot of men and women have died to keep this country free and you will not disrespect them here!!!!! In fact in my town people have not just one Flag in their property but several. I know I do. This Country may have it's problems but it's still the greatest Country in the world!!!!!
This is probably a stupid comparison. When i was young my neighbor bought an above ground pool and they were afraid of filling it up because they had a bad well. My dad and a few neighbors had upgraded to city water and quickly ran hoses over an acre to fill their pool. It was obviously expensive and I asked my dad how can you do that? He replied "how can I not"? When a neighbor needs help you help them. No matter how big or small. It is a stupid comparison but it is simply we take care of the ones around us.
Great honest reaction, I don't see any racism, I see a great song about good people standing together as a community to look after each other. The people against this song seem to be the same people against Sound of Freedom...funny that.
I don't see the racism, either. I'm not a huge fan of Jason Aldean or even country in general, but as a born and raised small town dweller, I agree with his message. You just don't see stuff like that very often in small town and when you do, it's dealt with pretty quickly by the townsfolk themselves.
Tbh i really tried to look for any racism in the video as well as the lyrics. Trust me, i looked really hard for it. I really tried putting myself in the shoes of those who say it is racist and about violence. Man i couldn't find any. Like all i hear is self-defence and small town pride.

I grew up in a small town in Arkansas. If you carjacked an old lady - or man - you better pray to get arrested. So you don’t face the consequences of the young men of the town. And race mattered zero. We all loved each other and played together and it did not matter. I’ve been faced with constant race crap since moving to Houston. People say it’s “diverse” - it’s a shit show. We were just neighbors
Not racist in my opinion he is saying the truth everything he says in this song is true watch the news its sad I understand the meaning.. not racist at all the song is great. May I just say my opinion only don't jump down my throat....❤

I just watched this reaction now and loved it. But why was the news footage missing in the video showing the news of the state of emergency and also around the end where the news footage of the disabled farmer got help picking the crops by the community because he was in a wheelchair? Still love your videos.
Don't come to our small town . Trespasser's will be shot , survivors will be shot again. Then there's the dogs . Most of us are all hunters . You really won't make it far .
I'm a kind person where if you treat me bad that's when I'll treat you bad you couldn't respect to get respect back so if I was rude or mean to somebody they had that coming
The song itself is not racist. The location he is recording the video in is questionable. This is said to be a courthouse where there is a history of lynching. Also, let me just say…. MLK said a riot is the language of the unheard. Hundreds of years of oppression, violence, systemic racism, injustice eventually blows up. I am not saying it is ok or right, what I’m saying is that when we don’t listen to the voices of the people that are experiencing these things, or worse, we continuously invalidate them, the lid is eventually going to pop off. I’m sure plenty of you will come for me, and that’s fine, I won’t entertain it. I have a right to my opinion and I see and have seen and understand what is happening.
I live in an area that is included in Illinois & Iowa. The Mississippi River runs straight in between us. It is calles The Quad Cities. It is called that because the 4 main cities (Davenport, Iowa) (Bettendorf, Iowa) (Moline, Il.) & (Rock Island, Il) are the major cities. Holy shit I can't believe that a generic old white guy would have the bravery to say he doesn't recognize all the racist dog whistles in this video! This is the most shocking thing since it was announced that water is wet.
“Aldean further stoked the flames with the music video, whose backdrop included an American flag displayed on the Maury County Courthouse in Columbia, Tennessee -- the site of the 1927 lynching of Henry Choate. Some of the more inflammatory images used in the music video included interlacing clips of protestors vandalizing cities in the wake of police brutality and racial unrest during the height of the pandemic. (Some of the protesting was actually footage of covid lockdown protests in canada and not in the US) His lyrics seemingly endorses "good ol' boys, raised up right" taking matters into their own hands by "taking care of our own."
The "inflammatory images" are of the "white Antifa" protests and not the BLM ones so actually he is speaking to ANY civil unrest, and not aimed at any particular racial group per se.
Ben, where we would be without smart history buffs like you? Thanks for pointing out an atrocity that occurred at the courthouse in this music video. The next thing you'll likely be saying is that Jason knew there was a lynching at that court house over 100 years ago and that he is in favor of lynching today as well and that he is a white supremist racist. Right Ben? Hey Benny boy, since you're such a history buff who loves to reveal obscure facts about music videos, why don't you investigate all the rap artists and the atrocities that have been committed by rap artists and all the atrocities that have happened in the cities and buildings they are rapping in. Go ahead Ben and show how committed you are to setting the record straight. I'm sure the rappers would love to hear your well educated take on this. Go on Ben, let's hear hear more from the genius music video historian...Yeah, like I thought. You're a leftie political hack whose only purpose is to stir up racial tensions. But were all on to clowns like you.
It’s more the fact he’s videoing in a tow square where lynchings happened. There’s lots of racist dog whistles in the song. The song was released to cause this controversy I’ve found. Just for people who are very large into Racial Justice, leaves us feeling like there’s a little something else behind the lyrics. I mean using the BLM riots for the video, I mean yeah rioting isn’t right but as a therapist I’m sure you understand the anger than those people feel.
This song is trash. Country music in general is trash. However, I can see how people can take this offensive. But I also know that this is how small towns work, and I’m not from a small town at all! I’m from the big city unfortunately. I do not condone the “protest” that the video shows, however, he’s not wrong in the aspect that that’s what happens in big cities. Small towns aren’t about that. To me it’s not racist or anything, but I can see both sides and understand both sides. He’s basically saying “F**k around and find out” in a small town!
