All pain points valid … I myself in big 4 since last 1.5 yrs 😃 high pressure and forget work life balance. Even when we are on leave we need to take work calls and assist
From my experience, the Big 4 employees are grossly underpaid when compared to the industry. Plus the work-life balance is not that great and after a point, you will realise that partners have a god-like complex. Having switched, now when Big 4s approach me they find it difficult to match my compensation even at the Associate Director level although I have considerably less experience than an average AD. Plus in the industry the work-life balance is amazing, and most importantly people don't have partner-like arrogance.
Absolutely correct. On a lighter note i sometimes feel i should ask arihant - kya fook rha hai bhai? He doesnot know the salary of CFOs in market. Gone are the days when Big 4 were the highest pay maker. including partner level. CFO moving into strategic partners for 10 CR - 25 CR plus salaries... he is absolutely having no clue abt the range of salaries in market

I think it depends on person to person or big 4 in which you are working . I have been associated with KPMG India (stat audit) from last 3 years and I could say that I have got good exposure here. There is decent scope in industry for IDT. Hi arihant, i recently qualified as a CA, i want to for risk advisory but i m not able to find the opportunity. So if i go for management consulting in a pvt firm or for FPA for 1 year or so and then switch to risk advisory will it be possible to for big 4 and would they accept??
They will accept but they might ask you to start over as a fresher as you would not have relevant experience. You keep yourself abreast to what happens in Risk advisory, keep learning and you will get in

Hi, I'm from civil engineering background and did PGDM in Construction management kinda like MBA in project management. I have placed in Infrastructure company and its been 1year. You know, in construction side, 12hrax6days work timings, no culture, no professionalism, traditional methods, no new technology made me look into my passion. I'm highly passionate to technology and curious and skilled in playing with data. So, I'm thinking to join Big 4. What do you suggest for me? Can I be satisfied if I join Big 4? And I'm from hyd thinking to try for Deloitte hyd. What do you suggest? What i have to do? Please give suggestions. Most helpful. Thank you.
Life will be better than your construction job... However it is not easy to get into big 4.
I qualified CA in nov 2021. I am working in accounting firm right now. (Not having post qualification audit experience) Will I get hired by big 4
Big four is nothing but TCS,Wipro of US.
Sir, need your guidance should I choose accenture or ey gds for us tax analyst role as a fresher
If such is the case then why dont candidates negotiate in terms of hours of work...like ok you are giving me 12 lac per annum for 9 to 7 ...thats it ...any extra over that would be purely at my discretion
How is work life in pune ey ? I got a offer from there in advisory role. How is the onsite opportunity there ?
Hi , i am working as an Oracle Consultant in PWC Us. I want to switch to industry. Is it possible now. I m CMA

Dear Arihant,
I am a ACCA Student, currently working in a large multi national bank as a Trainee Auditor. Do you think is it worth switching to a Big4 firm to gain experience or not? Considering the difference between Payscale, work life balance and exposure. Also, I want to move abroad and bank pays me very well and will pay me well when i qualify. Please let me know. Thanks
Take Commerce , it is a good steam not extremely difficult as well. Also there is a lot of job for Bcom graduates.
Commerce with Maths is a good option. It will allow you to go for MBA, CA and other equally good professional courses in the future
Don't go to big 4, join a mid size audit firm gain exposure only then join big 4, no learning there other than working on monotonous work over the week and repeat.
Bhai acca course kaisa hai maine just admission li
Helo sir, were you working with Indian big 4 or offshore one ?

Hello sir I want to ask you when they will onboard ,I am the batch of 2023 placed at EY as analyst few weeks ago so can you tell me when will be the joining date and when they usually send the offer letter and suppose I want to do internship till the date of joining so will they allow?
Could you please mention other mid size companies ,which has culture with less pressure ,to switch post 2 years of big audit global experience .
Same meri company Nvidia m every weekend kam karna pad rha
Sir what was your profile at big 4??
Arihant bhaiya
I am currently doing my articleship in pwc gurgaon and have got no interest to continue with big 4 after I become ca.
Should I leave just after my articleship Or should give 1-2 years more in big 4 and then switch
I will suggest don't leave it fully. Take leave, study , write CA Finals and come back to work. Once you qualify, then you can start looking for Jobs and leave when you get a good one. It is very easy to find another job when you are in employment.
I am qualified CA, 6 months experienced and now I have an opportunity to work with PWC(stat audit). Should I join? Is it really true that we have to work all days in a month all over the year or depends on the peak season as they told oct to April I will get sat and Sun off.. please guide
If you are interested in that field and have a long term vision then join. There will be hardships in every role if you want to grow. Work depends on the city you are in and the client you are assigned to. Its very subjective
Almost everytime pressure is there bro, stat audit, limited reviews, tax audit and repeat..no work life balance is there, not getting time to talk to family also
Internal audit person also eligible for finance manager in big 4
Hi, need some suggestions from anyone who can help me here..
I'm working in IT service desk since 4 months and i'm planning to exit from this company.. some people say that it's too early but here it's getting hard for me to survive for even a day so can't imagine myself being here for 1 year or more 1 month.. and it's the same story for my colleagues also.. no one could complete a year.. the work environment is so toxic.. no personal life nothing.. i'm handling calls, mails, live chats, tasks, and tickets also at same time so basically doing 5 people's work and there is a time limit like 2-7 hours depends on the medium i'm handling.. and if i'm on call already with a client and there are 2 chats waiting then i have to be on the chats also so have to deal with 3 clients for 3 different issues for the same time and it's nearly impossible.. also, manager, TL and all seniors are way too toxic they treat us like servants.. we talk more politely with servants also..
So is it a good time for me to exit now ?
Go find a better opportunity. Big 4 is not good for the working culture. They have different ways of working.
Can I know at present in which organisation your working sir

How to get Big4 jobs interview?

Hi Sir
I recently joined big 4, 3 months ago. I m so stressed due to work pressure and behaviour of mngr. During my first engagement, Saturday and sunday is also working and late night. It was so stressful. Now i m working on second engagement, here mngr behaviour is very rude, he is not supportive and creating unnecessary pressure. I m so confused whether i should continue or leave. I m from Delhi and big 4 is situated in gurugram, almost 4 hour traveling on daily basis.
What should i do, plz guide.
If its too much stress and manager is rude try speaking to senior manager/ partner to change team . If that doesn’t work then look for another job

Okay, after completing this engagement. I will do something. Thank you sir.

Sir internal audits generally do not have very strict deadlines, so what was the main reason for pressure?
Client pressure, low manpower
the big 4 is mostly into external audit, there is too much pressure there and tight deadlines

What does shifting to industry mean?
It means shifting to a company
For example tata motors comes into automobile industry
If someone works in tata motors it means he is working in automobile industry
There are various industries like
1-Fmcg (ITC,HUL,Nestle)
2-IT industry (Infosys)
3-Pharmaceutical industry
@@Jaishivji777 okay so like working in big4 is like working in a ca firm and going out it any other company is shifting to industry

Hi Sir,
This side an active member of your youtube family.
Loves and believes the practical guidance you bring on the table for us.
I need a guidance, if you can help with.
Indirect taxation quite interests me, being a fresher I wished to join Big4 and after 3-4 years want to get switched into industry.
Do Indirect Taxation has a good scope when it comes to industry aswell?
There is decent scope in industry for IDT. I dont say there is great scope because many companies prefer to have consultants to taken care of entire IDT compliance requirements, but many orgs have in house too. So its a split situation and depends on which city you are in and the industry exposure you get while working in Big4
