Someone please give them a better topic to talk about!!!!! Talking October baseball in June is by far one of the worst reasons to have 24 hour sports talk radio. Yankees need their best hitter to hit during the playoffs....no shit....How is this a topic on June 4th?
What they fail to mention is judge had ZERO protection in years passed and got nothing to hit. Thats not the case this year

@@jimerrigo7142Cmon lol. Talk about a cherry picked small sample size (just 2022 like he has no post season games prior to that…). Lets just all relax. As mentioned - its just undeniable that the composition of the lineup around him this season is much better. Time will tell though and fingers crossed for health.

You can make that same statement with every playoff team, for instance if Ohtani or Betts don't perform they are a good team not great team, If Gunnar Henderson doesn't perform in playoffs O's not as good as they are and you see Atlanta lose Azuna and now Atlanta are not as strong of a club with Azuna.
I'm loving this team, but I wanna see just a touch more from Verdugo. He's been amazing in left field, and he's had some great moments at the plate, I just wanna see his batting average creep closer to .270-.280. Still feels like he's having just a hair too many cold spots
I agree, to win a WS they are gonna need Judge to have his 09' Arod post season. Plain and simple.

Verdugo is the main link n the difference maker, he needs to stay

@RuRichelieu Not for lack of not trying. Torres is not getting re- signed 100%. If they can't sign Soto, they need to sign Verdugo and have the Martian play center or right field. Rizzo probably won't get his option picked up and don't be surprised if DJ Lamehue is traded during the off season. The Yanks do have almost $40 million if not more coming off the books next year. Plenty to sign Soto and maybe Verdugo. Stanton's contract is done in a couple of years. That's another $30 + million.

Pitching wins championships judge or no judge great pitching always stops great hitters and lineups in the playoffs all the time never fails ! The difference this season for the Yankees is great pitching Luis Gil is a stud along with Cole coming back rondon having a bounce back season that’s the key great pitching equals championship ! That’s 95 percent of baseball pitching pitching !
Pitching wins championships but if you can't get on base, score when bases loaded and 0 outs then I don't care who's pitching.
You'll need both to make it thru the gauntlet of the post season.
