Clear instruction with the camera angled for us to see well. Thank you for posting this! I just ordered BunnyVac for our rabbits, and this visual and explanation are very helpful.
Hello doctor, I am just wondering if amoxicilin is safe for rabbits, I saw in another video a vet injecting amoxicilin to a sick rabbit, but my vet has told me that it is not safe for them. I would just like to know. I don't intend to administrate it myself, just want to know so I look for another vet.
Amoxicillin is normally administered as an oral medication in many animals, but it is not a safe drug for rabbits. This drug if given by mouth to a hind gut fermenting small mammal (such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas) it can cause life threatening diarrhea. Other very similar drugs such as Penicillin G can be given injectably under the skin to these mammals, but NOT when taken by mouth. Discuss any recommendations of using Penicillin injections with your exotic animal veterinarian to go over the risks and how to administer this drug safely.
I used to inject ivermectin with insulin syringe 0.2ml/kg to my rabbit to cure ear mites, this time I have injected 3rd dose but ear mites are not going. What could be reason?
@@kathleenj9353 they are doing good, ivermectin works great. I actually didn't inject properly that's why it wasn't working. Whenever they have mites I inject ivermectin in the skin. Within weeks they get rid of mites.
When you pull back the plunger that aggressively you actuall pull air in from the rear side of the plunger. That’s why you got an air bubble and not just a vacuum bubble
Just want to say thank you for this. Giving subcutaneous penicillin to my rabbit and I was having trouble. This really helped.

How on earth did he just stay put...
How to preserve that antibiotic?.should i keep it in fridge?
What is the smallest gauge needle I can use for injecting penicillin subcutaneously in a rabbit? The needle the vet gave me looks gigantic.
any advice for an unruly rabbit? mine will hardly ever sit still
Do you have someone who can help you?
It all depends on the rabbit. Sometimes you need to be more firm with your restraint, other times less is more.
Learn to roll them in a towel. Your vet will show you. There are also YT videos.

Oh wow what a behave bunny.
How many ml is required
Your vet will prescribe according to the weight of your rabbit.
What size needle, 22 gauge?
I think it's the one used for insulin
Excellent job and thanks dear

When My moojie will grow I think he's gonna look like exactly the same like this bunny ✨
was there air in the syringe? isn't that dangerous?
I think only if it is in the vein not under the skin
Hey , so my bunny has a little bulge after subcutaneous injection. What does it mean did I not go as deep as I should have?
If you’re in our area, you may schedule an appointment with our doctors to get further instruction.
Depends on the amount of fluid given. The bulge goes down as it is absorbed in the skin.
Very nice.
Thank you
Everything was great except for watching the recapping of the needle at the end
😍😍😍😍
