Well maybe one the women will get hurt ( and recover ) and the other will realise how much they care the other ! And then they will get together again ! Or one of the men will die and be comforted by the man's wife / girlfriend!

I think this earthquake is going to force harper and phil to deal with their real feelings for each other. Nothing between them has been defined, so until that is dealt with even if they are caught, the issues between them remain.

They're probably in the Coromandel, a few hours south of Auckland. It's probably around 12/13 degrees celcius since it's winter but the cold is damp so it'll feel colder.
It got down to 3°C (37.4°F) overnight last night in Auckland, with an expected 13°C (55.4°F) during the day today. So above freezing but pretty chilly, which we'd expect at this time of year. From the dialogue and establishing shots cues it sounds like they've gone away north of Auckland, which hilariously is probably the only bit of New Zealand that feels even less earthquakes than Auckland does, but the risk is always still there. Pacific ring of fire and all that. I'd lay money they are actually filming in Titirangi in Auckland.
I would definitely recommend that!!! My wife of 28 years and I have lived with the father of our children for 27 of those. We aren't a romantic threesome, but we do crave his affection and companionship. We have 2 FFM and a FFF throuples in our community, with our weird liitle relationship a fourth. More love, more companionship, more 'availability', more parents, three incomes (or 2 and stay at home parent, like us). I really don't understand why polyamory isn't more common, when it's better in every way.
