You can’t use a “Bigger” lobe with the LPE pump, 10% or 6.5mm is Max. Most aftermarket cams have 32-38% keep that in mind.
Also After some research..... it’s been found and tested that the LT4 HPFP w 32-38% lobe will flow more fuel then the LPE with 10% or 6.5mm lobe.
I wish I had that info before doing my pump and cam.
You’re correct in regards to the LPE V1 pump. Their V2 pump allows the use of a bigger lobe.
I have the V1 pump in the car as we speak. Waiting on the V2
LethalGarage - That’s nice to know. They don’t make that clear on there site for the new pump.
The use to offer both at the same time, now they just offer version 2. I had to call and verify.
LethalGarage - Good info. Will wait to see how much of a increase it will provide over the LT4 with the same Lobe increase.

The guy who would have installed those upgrades is still available to do the work and Ryne is still offering tuning.
Hmmm..Do you mind giving me the guys contact info? I sent Ryne an email 6 weeks ago, and he responded he could not accommodate me as he was moving out of state. I left it at that. I just got home from speaking to Alex at New Era Performance in Agoura Hills. Found him on the V Forums. Whipple, NW 103 TB, Weapon X CAI, DSX aux pump, DSX flex fuel sensor, SW long tube headers w/ x pipe to factory axleback. Hoping to get 700whp.

Great Videos! I just subscribed. Awesome build. I will Not take anything away from your project, as I'm sure it's about the journey and learning as you went along. One question for you: Now that you have had both set ups eg... Procharger/Whipple charger. Besides the blow off valve that you mentioned not liking. Do you have a preference? Would you go procharger but maybe a bigger unit like the P-1x or D-1x instead of whipple? Why or why Not? Also, best bang for your buck. Procharger/Whipple? Reliability: Procharger or whipple? Super excited on the new build Matt.. Curious why you didn’t opt for a full system upgrade like a Squash system vs just a big pump..
I did the low side, added an Auxiliary pump and a high side pump. But being on e85 need more flow :)
What cold air intake are you running? I am planning on going with a whipple supercharger system on my camaro, but wanted to go ahead and get a cold air intake on my car now. Thanks for your help. I will see you at camaro fest 8 with my 2ss 1LE.

What about the low side fuel pump? Are you going to need one as well
The LT4 pump I have is good and it is supported with the DSX aux pump.
Did you do any mods to keep the temps low during hot days or track days ? I heard the whipple produce a ton of heat
Turn it off :) we’re looking at options, it’s just now summer and we haven’t had a crazy hot day yet.

It does Matt come a hobby that is! And I truly have now clue besides I absolutely got lucky on everything I chose from heads, cam, blue printed and balanced , bored out custom fitted diamond pistons & forged everything else, 80% methanol direct port injection of 5 jets into the SuperCharger giving me 132 octane and 59 degrees, and 15 pounds of boost and so so much more to much to list also 4.10 rear. I don’t run 1/4 mile with the wing on. I put the stock spoiler on

I'm assuming at this point that you've decided to make this a dedicated track car? I can't imagine getting it through smog in CA and the work to revert to stock every 2 years seems significant (or maybe I'm just lazy :).
Smog is 6 years on new cars
But yes, looking to make this an off road car if it comes to it.
I'm not familiar with that make of dyno, but the text on the dyno sheets says "Eng Torque" suggesting the figures are estimated engine (at the crank) numbers, not wheel torque. Can you confirm?
These are at the wheel numbers on a Mustang load dyno. Most like to use dynojets. On local dyno jets my car reads about 35+ more.
Ok thanks. Down here in Australia I'm running mine on a Mainline dyno (Australian made). It's making 485 kW (650 hp) and 1000 NM (747 ft lb). I've been debating with the tuner shop as to why their power numbers are so low compared to torque, after all it is a simple conversion based on engine speed. Your torque figure for example is similar to mine, but your power is about 100 hp more. I get the same numbers when I calculate my power off my torque and engine speed i.e. around 750, so like I say, it is a bit of a mystery what the Mainline dyno is calculating for power.

Ah, I was so curious I called up Mainline today. Turns out the torque figure printed on my dyno sheet provided by the tuner is the roller torque measured by the dyno and is dyno-specific i.e. depends on several factors including the diameter of the rollers. Normally you'd want to see the "derived torque" which is then consistent with the power numbers. In my case the correct torque figure is 786.8 Nm or 530.3 ft lb. Makes more sense.

Takes more than a few days to make sure it is fixed, but the issue has been resolved so far that we can tell.

You can daily drive a twin screw setup. Just how much gas mileage are you willing to sacrifice
LethalGarage explain more about that please i already planned on losing gas mileage with the e85 running as a daily driver but i actually never heard of the twin set up your mentioning so where do i look or start
My Whipple Supercharger is a twin screw design. It compresses/ forced air into the engine. In turn you make more power but need more fuel.
LethalGarage with the stock engine could i run meth with it as a daily driver ? or you wouldn’t recommend that

Yeah
you must be able to feel the increase in torque, your making over 120 pound feet of torque at 4200 rpm, good for drag racing :)

I would have done an F1 procharger to begin with.
I would have put a better headunit on before going to that heat pump of a blower and just get the proper fuel setup for e85. You’ll run C16 for a while until you get tired of paying for it. Oh and it’s Centri (centrifugal) not Centi.
was your car originally an SS or ZL1?
It’s a SS with ZL1 seats :). Only seats that have bolsters and allowed me to retain heat and cooling

I had a 2SS with heating and cooling so it was a direct plug and play
