I got a bag baby from Lowe’s that hasn’t bloomed yet, but it’s going to be beautiful with yellow and cranberry, can’t wait to see the bloom. I love some of the mini ones and also all the pretty tropical plants.
Hi. I left you a message at OFE on Saturday. He said he round give it to you in Sunday. It’s for your squirrel problem. Your orchids look so beautiful I can’t wait to see mine bloom. But remember I’m new but loving it. Thank you for your videos.
@@naturenel omg I wish we could build another ASAp. My husband seems to think if we build another I’ll just get more Orchids and fill it up. Let’s see what happens. That’s my dream Nel! When you come visit. Hehe but I would need to get it looking perfect for that.
Enjoy your channel you are a great teacher! IsThe "Spanish moss" just a Redlands thing?? And please information about pump up sprayer/ fertilizer and culture sprays..how often, what do u use?? T/Y
@@duaneknorr3081 thank you! You’ve given me an idea to do a fertilizing video. I’ll work on that. A lot of people add the moss to retain a little moisture and to acclimate the orchids that are attacked on trees. It also looks more appealing
Hi Miss Melissa. I often see you mentioned your Cymbidium from your other videos as well.. I thought to give my input on how our Cymbidiums is being cared(No ID and im sure its not Alcor). I live here in California Bay Area (Pacifica to be specific) my late father have a lot of them in our yard which is exposed to lots of light in the morning but some shade but bright later the day. We also live in an area where we do always have long cold weather through out the year some short warm season Late July (70's up) with being the warmest month during Sep to Oct (80's does not past 90's only if we experience heat wave) with still a cool temp at night. I've read that it requires to be exposed to cold weather in order to bloom? Some of our Cymbidium started to buds during early Oct and up to now a few of our pots still have several flowers. and as for watering I hardly water them as we do get a lot of fogs as well and the moisture from it help out unless it's been really dry weather and goes to water them. I do hope your place do experience some cold during winter season. Maybe you could try exposed it to more cold temperature and some shades but bright area during the later day.. I would love to see your Cymbidium to have its flower soon. - Jervy.
@@jcons2987 hi 👋🏻 thanks so much for the info. How do you know it’s not an alcor? It’s never bloomed for me but the gifted did send me a pic when it was in bloom. I showed it to a grower and he told me that he thought that’s what is was. I guess I have to wait for it to bloom. 🤷🏼♀️
Sorry for the confusion. I mean the cymbidium that we had in our yard is not Alcor as it was quite different to what I've seen on the internet. (Although i might be wrong my knowledge on orchids are very limited) We mostly have a yellow, white, pink colored with a roundish shape flowers all with no Id as it was only given to us too. And Yes only to find out what kind it is once your cymbidium blooom. And your welcome. Loves seeing your collection in bloom. @Melissa-loves-orchids
@ that’s what I was afraid of. I have 3 of them, I live in Sarasota and they are under some bushes. So, if I were you, I would definitely move them away from the sun. Good luck. Your collection is spectacular😍
Thank you so much for your video. I look forward to watching them and learning how to make my orchids a little bit better. 😊
