"Há três rodadas e basicamente todas elas acontecem em arenas. No centro da arena há 36 cabines pretas, que são basicamente tendas feitas com panos pretos separando umas das outras e todas ficam próximas.Todos os candidatos sentam nas cadeiras da plateia e cada um espera sua vez de se apresentar em uma das cabines pretas, onde há um produtor sentando,para quem você canta durante uns 15 segundos e ele te dize sim ou não. Se você receber um sim, na primeira vez recebe um "bilhete dourado", que é basicamente um pedaço de papel amarelo, e eles te dizem: "parabéns, você passou para a próxima fase". Então você sai da cabine e vai preencher uns formulários e volta no próximo dia. Então, depois que você passa da primeira rodada, na primeira cabine com seu bilhete dourado, você volta no próximo dia e faz tudo de novo, mas dessa vez há menos cabines, não lembro muito bem quantas, mas acho que umas 12. Então, você faz tudo de novo, mas ao invés de ter um produtor na cabine, há dois produtores e você recebe um bilhete vermelho e se você passar significa que irá participar da primeira audição na TV".
"A segunda coisa que quero comentar é o Bootcamp, onde havia, de fato, uma rodada em grupo. E na rodada em grupo, nós como indivíduos, o que poderia significar também um grupo que já formado como Sister C, por exemplo, que já eram um grupo quando vieram para as audições, são contados como indivíduos. Então, nós éramos colocados com outros "indivíduos" como grupo e tinhamos umas duas horas para aprender uma música juntos..." *suspiros*.
"Quando eu e a Carly cantamos 'PumpedUpKids', tanto eu como ela tínhamos um verso no refrão, mas na edição eles só exibiram o verso da Carly no meu refrão".
"A casa da Britney"... era na verdade uma casa alugada, em que não tínhamos permissão para levar comida ou água para dentro. A casa ficava em Malibu, onde a temperatura estava a cerca de 40 graus do lado de fora e nós não podíamos levar comida ou água para dentro da casa. Não havia ar condicionado na casa, porque o aparelho fazia barulho e tiveram que desligar para filmar e estávamos presos na casa sem poder sair durante as filmagens, e a única forma de comer ou beber era saindo da casa, mas não tínhamos permissão para sair. Então...eu passei realmente, realmente muito mal. Tive uma insolação e fiquei pedindo "por favor, deixe-me trazer pelo menos uma garrafa de água para dentro da casa". Então, eu estava passando muito mal e disse isso para eles, tipo, "não estou aguentando mais e preciso beber algo" e "realmente não me sinto bem". E a edição mudou isso de forma a parecer que eu estava realmente nervosa. Eu estava com a aparência péssima e pensando que iria cantar mal por causa de como me sentia, então era por isso que estava tão chateada nas JudgesHouses".

I’m not so sure. I’ve actually seen many people comment on very bad auditionees’ videos on how they know the guy or girl and how emberrased they still are about it, whatnot. Don’t forget that there are many people who would do anything for five seconds of fame and then there are people who think they are the very best that ever existed when they are not better than avarage or even worse. I mean every year many thousands apply, surely there are ten awfully bad among that?
throughthelookingglass The same way as talented people? They are simply not told I believe that they are going through because they are untalented. :3 Also, producers can influence you on what to sing at the televised audition and how to behave, so they can make you seem even worse than you are.

The judges house clips were heavily edited, if you watch the other judges house clips there are no water bottles in diamonds and in Arin's there are no water bottles at the start and only one headphone on the table but at the end the table is full of water bottles and headsets. They did two songs at judges house but only one song was shown.

The bad auditions aren't scripted... The producers can say it's good while they think it's good. The judges don't know. The producers can tell a bad person they're good

This explains how they "know" to film certain participants before the TV audition while they're waiting in the cue or while they're waiting in line. I never understood how they knew to film those specific people and now I do.
rozyy21 they get set in a queue to film them, the other people are the audience, waiting to get their tickets. It's a tiny queue with only like 5/6 contestants (the ones who audition that matinee or evening)

Same on The Voice, they call it illustrations... They film you "walking to the audition" and "waiting to go on stage" but that's bs it's all filmed beforehand
AGT is very similar. I auditioned, and got passed through one round. Got turned down at the second round for 'aesthetic' reasons.

I auditioned for The Voice and realized it's not about your voice lol. First point, the judges already know you physically before you sing, because there are multiple auditions before the actual TV show. Second, some people are given preference over others and it doesn't have to do with talent. For example, I was at a music school with connections to producers, and so we got preferential access to the final auditions while others had to go through many more. Once you get to the final rounds, the producers actually ask for your resume, previous recordings you have of yourself and pictures. They choose only professionals or those that can help them sell the TV show, but it's mainly the second reason: you get chosen on the basis of how commercial you are and how well you fit in the categories they arbitrarily establish. For example: each year, there are 5 spaces for ugly people with great voices, 2 spaces for girls with hot bodies, 2 spaces for nerds, 1 for fat people, 1 for a handicapped singer with some heartbreaking story....they don't really choose the best voices, but the people that will fit the judges vision, and that will draw people to watch the show, and so the choice is based on stereotypes.
What about the votes and the results? Are these things scripted too?

One of the contestants from a past season of the voice said that its the producers who choose who wins and they also choose who make it onto the next rounds

the x factor season 2 production was so fake you could easily tell because everything was running smoothly until live shows then it became a giant mess thank god 5H and bea made it out alive (and successful)

You knew it was a joke with Cece Frey. I'm sorry but I had no respect for her in the first place. The day that Bea actually left the show was the same day I was with my mom, who has had some serious lessons on singing and all that, even said that Bea should of pretty much went through. She did not like Cece and honestly thought she sounded worse than me, and I'm a pretty bad singer...
so that means 4/5 of 5H was in once house lol. That explains why it always seemed like Ally was kind of an outcast.

My thoughts were that if the producers of XF saw this, they would make their calls to the "youtube police" and they would yank it. I don't really think that she's giving away much that we didn't already know. However, when they were at the "fake" houses, it was a huge liability to not let them have water if it was as hot as she said. No wonder I saw Tate Stevens sweating so much in L.A.'s house waiting to sing. Having been a victim of severe dehydration on 3 occasions, it's no joke. You end up in ICU with IV's everywhere shoving fluids into you. Dealing with minors, that would have been a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I'm glad people can hear the truth behind X factor. I still feel like they're hiding things. It's a tv show. They wanna sound like they're all "perfect" They show only what they want you to see. I'd like to know everything about the show. Boot camp sounds like hell. No ac really? Can't eat or drink inside? X factor is really messed up. She had a freaking heat stroke she wasn't nervous! I wish more people would share there experience.

I love this video, I knew about the auditions prior to the actual TV auditions, my friend auditioned for the British x-factor and they did the same thing, they also already have their winners picked from the start and many times ones that should have made it are canned because they didn't have the look they were looking for that they could make money off of and had nothing to do with the actual talent. This girl has an amazing voice I am sure she will go far!

My daughter Auditioned and made it through all 3 rounds with producers, she just didn't get a call back for the T.v audition. It is exactly how beatrice says it is. They do interview you after the 2nd round and they are looking for a story (It is T.V) ,it doesn't matter if you have amazing talent they want you to have an interesting life story or life event to talk about as well.

Ugh my friend went to X factor NZ and got turned down because of her height? Like really? Sure she's not an amazing singer but she is good, she can do a lot better than other people on those shows and they turn her down because they thought she wouldn't appeal to viewers.

This is all true what she is saying. I auditioned in the UK amd it is a fix. They asked me what i did and said I was a carer for my daughter the moment I told him I knew it was over. Questioning me about my daughter who would look after her etc. There was a young lass fantastic singer she never got through yet one lad went in. Could not sing was being stupid and got thro were is the justice. Just a bloody fix.

+xCxmila zAlzx i think so but i don't know how it works since i didn't appeal to the guy overlooking me. i would never give up my dreams and no one should just cause someone thought you weren't. good enough or entertaining enough. my friends told me i was a pretty good singer and like that i saw the opportunity and went for it. i now turned back to RUclips to see if i'm decent at it. and so far alot of positive feedback. I'm glad i learned from it and it helped me to grow and to get my thoughts aligned.

Hmm...I always figured these shows were a little "too good to be true." Now I want the tea on One Direction! I know Simon always looked at them with '$' signs in his eyes and it definitely seemed like from the jump Harry was picked as the "favorite" or the one that will make Simon the most money, kind of like what happened to Justin Timberlake in NSYNC where he was basically finessed into going solo. Hence why they were all so keen to take a "hiatus" and do their own thing. I call bullshit on them ever getting back together! You could quickly tell as the years went by that they were getting fed up of having to keep their image and make the same type of music. I remember hearing somewhere from one of them that the minute they got in Simon's office and saw what makes you beautiful was going to be their first hit single, none of them were keen on singing it. I also doubt Ed wrote that, Little Things seems legit but WMYB??? No way! The lyrics are way too mediocre for his taste. I don't know...you could just tell how manufactured they were! Even they used to talk about how fucked up their management and Simon were.
"Hollyweird" has so many dark secrets tho. Never trust anything you see and hear! There is always something bizarre/disturbing behind it.

This is true for a lot of shows too. My old teacher has such an incredible voice and tried to audition for American Idol, so she went to the "pre-auditions." First, she went through the first 3 judges, and got through, then the next, got through, but in the last group she didn't make it. Based on reading a lot of these stories, I almost think it's just because she sang country music, and they thoughts they had to many country singers win already.
More people need to see this. Good on you for making it.
Also to add to this, during the prerounds to the one thats on TV you have to wear the same clothes every day so when they film some of the "candid" (i say candid because literally every thing was fake like they microphoned specific people they wanted to film and told them what they wanted them to talk about, even when it looked like they were just sitting with a group of friends talking about how nervous they were) it would look like it was all the same day. They also don't actually have like anything random where a woman will call out specific people to come back to stage, all of this is planned before hand and the "surprise" contestants already know they'll be called back in.
You know what scares me the most about this video is the fact that none of you guys realise how fake these type of TV shows are. Every single tv singing competition has producer audition rounds before hand - Idol, The Voice, X Factor, Rising Star, Duets you name it they have producer auditions.
As for editing the show, you guys have to realise that the ENTIRE aim of all these shows is not to "find a star" it's to entertain the viewers, sell advertising and make money. The producers, editors, managers, heck even Simon Cowell, *only want to create an entertainment show that will entertain viewers and make them money.* If that means editing reality they'll do it, if that means having fake houses they'll do it, if that means putting through bad contestants they'll do it!
At the end of the day the show can find the most talented, amazing performer with an amazing voice and personality that won't keep show in production - Viewing Figures will! Hence the shows production crew will do all they can to create a show that has the highest viewing figures it can possibly have.
Same goes for reality shows like Jersey Shore, The Kardashians and Teen Mom. The stars are routinely directed and the show edited to make it entertaining. *Nothing you see on tv is real. Nothing.* Doesn't stop it from being entertaining though!
The voice I know is a little different for the one so watched the winner was always well deserved however it was not American version of the voice
just to share on about the audition thing: the auditions you see on television is true. the judges nor audience have seen them perform prior. I went to an audition taping and it's pretty simple. just because that's not their first time auditioning doesn't mean the reactions from judges/audience members is fake.

It obviously was. There are hundreds of contestants. They all went on at different times, I doubt the judges would simply remember each of them especially if they were really going to get kicked off the show.

I knew that the first audition wasn't in front of the judges but after seeing all the rules and regulations I'm sorta glad I never auditioned. I love your voice and your music bea and I'm glad that you kept making music after the X-Factor.
i'm not really surprised when i went to the auditions in 2013 they picked me and a group of people to walk to the arena and they told us to act all excited about the auditions and they didn't even use that and when i got in the arena they had the nerve to tell us how to react when to cheer and when to boo i was like are you serious? and they had some really good and funny auditions with this young black girl group and kelly said they reminded her of baby destiny's child i know they showed like 10 seconds of that but they still should of shown the whole thing and they had this 1 guy that made up his own song called "click" and demi and kelly were playing around and pretending to take a picture while he was performing and they didn't even use that i was SO PISSED OFF when i realized how shitty and fake this show is no wonder it got canceled

American idol bosses were pissed that Simon brought xfactor to the USA and Simon couldn’t be bothered to deal with the legal issues that he had to deal with... there’s more info about it online if you google it I can’t remember the full story but it’s to do with Simon use to work for American idol and there was contract drama or some shit. well they probably wanted you to be dehydrated ..that's the trick it's producing a "reality show" thats not reality it has science behind it.. so.. they flipped the dehydrated look into nerves/anxiety cause they knew making you dehydrated would make you emotionally everywhere by the time u had to sing they knew they could write you as being nervous and jumpy instead of the fact they made u dehydrated... for on edge TV. These tv producers have the people on screen on strings without them knowing it.
They also do it with the reality tv show big brother.. they starve the house mates from sugar and foods which messes with their bodies and makes people more emotionally unstable then usual which creates dramatic tv/etc.
Either that or you're lying for attention because you didn't win.

For entertainment, obviously. It's a tv show. Not everyone who auditions is good. Everyone knows they put the bad ones through so people can find it awkward and entertaining. They do it so the audience can laugh, feel sorry for them or be entertained by the person's dramatic & sometimes angry reaction.

It's fun to listen to this again, because Bea, aka Beatrice was on season 2 in 2012, and I'm glad this video has never been taken down. The X Factor didn't survive beyond season 3 because viewers had declined by the millions. I'm not sure why since Idol and The Voice have continued to do well.
If this is true, do the producers in the black booths give gold and red tickets to the bad singers just to show their bad voice on tv? Or how does that work, I'm genuinely curios. Anybody have any guesses?
Some may have been good enough for producers and not good enough for the real judges.
They let bad singers through for the sake of comedy. So we watch cringy and hilarious auditions on TV getting roasted by the judges.
That explains why anyone who was super bad and got through the first set of auditions got super mad/sad when the judges tell them they suck because they were told they were good and could go through...only so the audience could have a good cringe/laugh

This is actually true. It's also true for American Idol. A friend of mine, who's a very good singer, tried out for Idol and didn't even make it to the first round and meet the judges. Because they also have like 2-3 rounds before, where just the producers get to decide whether your through or not to the 'first round' on TV. And they won't just choose the good ones either, they'll choose the really bad ones or whatever just so that they can make fun of themselves and the show can be funny to get more views. So yeah these shows are pretty messed up. Who knows, all those other ones are probably like that too. One of the many reasons I don't like to watch them anymore.

My friend went to the UK Xfactor and she said there are 3 auditions before you get on the auditions on tv. She got to the 3rd and rejected. She's an amazing singer but not let through but people who can't sing, go through!

The worst thing I saw on that show was the selfish behavior of L.A.Reed. His words was said to kick off others acts. He used his knowledge of neuroscience to induct the votes just because HE wanted to win. The show should be to reveal a new X-Factor singer/group whatever, not to show what coach is more powerful. The winner is not a X-singer, he's just a country singer, he'll make success only in USA. You, Carly, Diamond, Emblem3 can make real success in all over the world. But LA just sabotage you all.
I live in Brazil and the show just passed 2 weeks later then was shown in US. But I downloaded the entire season and watched in 2 days, one by one, straight as a marathon. Honestly, in the middle I just skipped many numbers to watch you, Carly, Diamond, Paige and few others, not all, and I saw all comments from the judges and as a speeching teacher I noticed what L.A. did so clearly.
I hope you get an independent studio and you can show all the power of your beautiful voice and your natural talent to music.
I don't listen only US music, and, believe me, there are maaaaany great musicians outside USA. You could really sing in Montreaux Festival, the biggest and most traditional musica festival in the world and shine like Whitney Houston, Josh Stone, Donna Summer, Diane Warwick, Ray Charles, Etta James. Don't go after tv shows, go after the real songs, the singers that make difference and are remembered and respected by everyone in the world. US$ 5million? haha You can get 10millions only in Japan easy. Trust me. I'm 46yo and I hear and collect songs from all over the world since before your parents start to date. You are the real deal.
Don't think L.A.Reed or Simon are the greatest in music industry. They are not. You can sing along the bests like Eric Clapton, Elton John, Queen and even Rolling Stones.

If you've ever watched the Fantasia movie before, it shows you when she auditioned for American Idol. how she had to go to those people in the black curtains as Beatrice explained, and then she got to move on to the actual judges because she was good. I mean I'm Seen that before, so it's not like it's a complete secret.

Yeah, I tried to get into the new Ecuadorian version of Xfactor but the first audition is not in tv and not with the official judges but (I would say random) people whom I do not even know are qualified to judge. More than a thousand people auditioned for it in my city.
