Dear Gangagi. I first discovered you shortly after my mother passed away and I was on my own. One day, it hit me like a ton of bricks. I was alone, no one to talk to and I felt like I was lost in a dark pit and there was no chance of ever been rescued.
In an effort to find some help and comfort I looked on RUclips for a teacher or someone to help me out of my pain. I came across one of your videos, not sure which one, but your serious yet loving voice spoke to me and helped give me some direction. That was November 15th 2013. Since then, many times when I struggle with the past pain of being a victim, etc your voice comes to me and helps to remind me to just stop the story and unnecessary suffering it brings. One of the lessons I haven't quite learned is letting go of attachment to form. As we get older, I admit I feel some fear that one day you will be here. I don't mean to be glib, I also remember what you taught about that as well and one day I will master it. God Bless you Gangagi! I would say you have given me so much, but as you would say, the only thing you have given me is to show me what is all ready here present within me.

You want to hear from us?
    Well here I go:
I am diagnosed as manic depressive, but have recognized my condition as a result of repeated war trauma, both in my own life and in that of my parents (genetic patterns). You just helped me recognize that in my particular case none of the acts of extreme violence that I chose to identify myself as a victim of, were actually directed intentionally against me personally. That is a new recognition! Thank you!

do you have a family/friends or are you alone? It can change how depressed you are. War must be horrible anyway. Hope you can find peace.

Beautifully articulated, Gangaji! Self-hatred is such a sneaky, slippery, pernicious way of Being! It lends (attaches) it Self to the idea that, "I'm right in how I Feel... even though, how I Feel is causing me to Feel bad... it Feels good, Feeling bad!" Can you imagine! We truly are most vulnerable to 'The Enemy Within' and, yet, at one and the same time, are at our most emPowered when we are Present to 'The Enemy Within' Awesome words, Gangaji! Bless up!

Thank you for this talk. Personally, I found myself today slipping down a familiar slope of pain, frustration, not enoughness. It was irritating and I tried to think myself out of it. Thank you for the reminder to lean in with openness and love and meet this beast within.

Thank you so much for showing how the horror of the NZ news is just another example, an extreme example, of this predictable path of hatred and fear and how easy it is to get swooped up in its flames. I can't seem to hear the message of STOP and LET GO enough. I have been listening to your videos for years (thank goodness for technology and RUclips!) and just recently I have started to recognize when I've been hooked and I've been able to pause before I go to war! Such an awesome gift. Thank you!

Yes, I like that concept of the doorway out of hell. It helps to visualise a way out. I guess once you are free, the illusion of both hell and the doorway both disappear. Much love and kindness 😇

Yes, these beautiful words are truth. Thank you for this profound knowledge, a way out of suffering comes from first allowing, then knowing yourself outside of yourself , and knowing the latter to be what is real. A slight shift into a different perspective of self, once you see it , you cannot unsee it. Thank you Dear Gangaji!!

Thank you Gangaji. Following this sense of victim or bully into the individual mind-set & recognising where we can heal the hatred not only for the us, but for all is so empowering. There is no greater purpose.

Thank You Gangaji. Energy is neutral until we feed it a feeling, thought and emotion. Stopping vs Acting is so much simpler. I'm lazy. I rather choose simpler.

This really hit me in the core today. How difficult it is to be human and to recognise how we hate, especially the way we can easily turn hatred against ourselves. Generations of human conditioning that taught us to hate others who are different from us. Or we are told are different from us. How we are taught to couple things .... as in the case of the Christchurch shootings. Organised child sex abuse in Rochdale England and people at prayer in a mosque in New Zealand. It can only be described as madness ...but a madness that has always existed in humans. This capacity to hate has to be brought into the group consciousness if we are to survive as a species. We can only ever start this work at a personal level and speak out and call people out to look at their behaviour in self enquiry but not judging them. The hatred is only the emotional reaction to hatred we have been subjected to in the past. Our past traumas being played out and perpetuated. You are a shining example of how to be a human being.

I try to accept the dark sides of myself, but I'm trying to transcend them through realization or enlightenment. They all say focus on the 'I' but I really don't understand what they are saying or pointing to. Everything non-dual is paradoxical. I've been focusing and trying to find the 'I' but nothing is happening. What am 'I' missing ?

In my view, you will never find the 'I' because you are busy *being* the 'I', as it should be. If you look within to the core of yourself, all you will find is beautiful spaciousness. You are that spaciousness because you are an outwardly-projecting consciousness. Paradoxes can't be seen, only experienced, so live your life.

You're expecting something to happen. I isn't an object. The seeking mind expects or is looking for something and it will always be unfilled. But in this unfullfillment
      I Am
      And that's it.
      Rest there

You can't focus on yourself u just can relax your focus. Your are already "I Am"

“I” points to that which is aware of everything - pure awareness itself, the subject before any object arises... Your not finding the “I” is right on the mark, as there isn’t really a “someone” or “somebody” behind awareness that is aware, and awareness cannot be perceived as an object but can be self aware or conscious through direct experience of Self realization/recognition... Here is a fun live video clip by Gangaji’s teacher Papaji with a participant entitled "Spiritual awakening in four minutes". Enjoy: ruclips.net/video/NMHcak07pmE/видео.html (The participant asked Papaji to “show me my Self”.)

If you're trying it means you found the 'I', it's not 'me' an object pronoun that lives passively and suffers it's 'I' a subject pronoun that precedes action and takes measures.

    Thank you dear Gangaji.
Perhaps the entirety of hellish pain and suffering (including hatred) manifests solely to kick the slats out from under our complacency. It seems that it is only when we suffer enough that we collapse into a total inner surrender or submission of everything. Everything that amounts to the misidentification that blinds "us" to what is real.
I've suffered from major depression for decades that no medication can cure, and I have an abscessed tooth throbbing away as I type this. Death would be a Blessing. But even still I fear opening unconditionally to it all; and simply sitting, being with, and welcoming the bottomless depth of what is happening right here, right now.
It's insane. The door so close, yet seemingly so far, far away. I suspect it is a cop-out, but it seems something bigger than me needs to take the crucial steps.
