There's a rot in the South African society. Children are not morally upright. I see them on social media and in the movies. I'm from Nigeria, and there's this reverence we have for our parents. I'm not saying we are saints or righteous, but it's worst or probably out of hand in SA.
True Nigerians are not Saints at all , Nigerians are selling drugs to young children in south africa , fake Pastors hiding in the name of preaching the word of God, sies ,what do you call that if SA is worse mncm
This is really sad but eyy these 2000 kids learn this kind of behaviour from adults at home and social media Parents should sit down with their kids and understand them instead of blaming them for their actions, if they did that we would see alot of change but they won't especially the parents from the 80's, 70's and 60s
It's urbsard and terrible,, parents were are responsible to what happens to our children, let's get control them till mature enough to make right decisions
They interviewed the survivors, the owner, the guy who went to perform there earlier..then all these people interviewed here are saying the door was closed..then why we dont see the interview of the bouncers/ security? Another thing, does Liquor License department just issue licenses/ sell licenses without a checking the place/ environment if it is the right place to operate? A one door tavern is what this board gave it a go ahead? So long in SA money talks, this wil never end. Then coming to the age restrictions..the owner n their security always ignores this until this happened because they are scared to loose customers..to them its abt money, not the safety and protocols. Lastly, government gave kids too much rights, i believe a lot of parents have been fighting with their kids not to do such things, until this happened..but because of government laws favouring kids..parent's hands are tied because they will be accused of child abuse. Let the government leave discipline to the parents because now government wont agree tht they are part of this mess. Condolences to their loved ones.

Very good statement. A lot of people that drink attack me when I ask why a tavern licence is approved ina residential area
