To me, Pav does this aria the best. Here, at age 37 or 38, he articulates the lyrics sharply and has great power. I don’t know if this is the best because his performance at age 51 in Budapest got him a 2.5 min ovation. In that performance, his voice now more mature w deeper resonance and even more robust power lend an absolutely stunning delivery. To me, nobody does this aria better.

IT's clearly one of the great renditions of the aria, but there are also the versions of Björling, di Stefano, Aragall and others.
Come on now...yes, there are other great performances by others but when you combine power, precision.and presentation....it all spells Pav. Then again, opinions are like....well, you know the rest. And btw, this is NOT his best version.

People complain that he didn't hit the "C" in Budapest so that disqualifies it as his best. Either way, younger or older version, to me, nobody does this aria better.
