One of the best Christian bands, along with Petra. I could listen to these guys all day. Thanks for sharing. This and Desert Rose always touch my heart.
I don't think enough people realized that Rick (aka Ric, Riq, Rik, Rykk, Ricke - man he had fun on those liner notes!) was one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time. Clear, strong, immediately recognizable but in service to the song. Woefully underrated. Hard to believe he's selling real estate nowadays.
Talk about a great bunch of talented musicians. Song writing, execution, production... all fantastic. These guys were really a good band. WTG guys! Thanks for posting.
i used to love this band when i was growing up, they were one of the band s that really helpd me through a rather difficult time, petra and world wide message tribe too. thanks so much for uploading this, it has made my day
The guitar work on this album was some of the best I've ever heard from a Christian rock band - Powerhouse was an amazing album - every song a total inspiration - never quite caught their depth again after this....
Reminds me of when i used to raid my parent stapes and listen to Petra, White Heart, Carmen, and all the old school bands...sweet nostalgia...its been years but the effect is still just as powerful.
I've been listening to bands like White Heart and Petra since I was little fart and I'm 13 now. My dad has a good taste in music. Happy Fourth, everybody! :3
9 years passed by since I posted this video, and this is still one of the best songs I've heard. to the ones who didn't like it, may the love of God be with you. Btw,, I'm a sinner, not perfect, this is why chains must be broken.
@ETHANALISONEDWARDS The lead singer is from the South Bend, In area and went to Taylor University. WH came to Taylor several times in late 80's and I was fortunate to seem them perform. I would put them up against many secular bands and they would hold their own. THey are a great band.
Many people either don't realize or just don't know, that many of the world's famous Christian Music stars got their start in White Heart (no kidding). The band had seen so many changes over the years.
I wasn't into White Heart as much as the other bands of that era, but wish now that I had given them more of a listen. I did catch some of their songs and watched them open for Mylon once, but didn't see the whole show because we got their late...I'm sure if they had just come out now, I would have been a bigger fan today.
What aggravates me is when people choose the secular stuff over the Christian stuff. When you really listen to the music, it is exactly the same musical style, but with positive lyrics. I think it is just that people are to narrow minded and do not want to expand themselves beyond the secular music scene.
Its like this music has been lost! Never hear it anymore. Secular has their oldies stations but Christian music doesn't do same so once its not new anymore, its forgotten!
Hey, the gentleman in the video depicting the man who's wrestling with addictions and having family problems looks very much like the drummer for Degarmo and Key in another video on RUclips. (You can get a look at him at the channel titled "degarmoandkey" in the video titled "Don't Stop The Music." Good shot of him at the end. Anyone who can ID this guy? Just curious.
A devout atheist with a love for great songs and songwriting says.... This is a great song. Popular music for christians has a long history of producing great artists (and, like secular music, a long history of producing profoundly bad ones). If you hold that every 'christian' song must be ministry oriented, you not only deny yourself the talents your people have to offer, but you also put into question the idle words of your own mouths, and the value of your non-ministry related deeds.
Do you think a lot of the bands today that are considered Christian, are ashamed to declare their faith through their music? I've heard many a Christian Metal band mention not wanting to get too preachy. I think thats quite sad. Jesus Christ is Lord.
Well said. Not get too "preachy?" What's the point, then? I recently bought an album that was marketed as Christian. Nice songs, nice melody, nice messages, but not one word about God or Jesus or faith. You could infer a spiritual meaning if your were so minded, but if you were not a Christian you could listen to it as an album of romantic love songs, and songs about life. I think sometimes new artists try to break into the secular mainstream by using contemporary Christian music. Sad.
I hate religion too, but I don't hate Christians for I am one. Christianity is not a religion. Religion is mans attempt to earn favor with God, Christianity is responding in faith to what God has done for us through His son Jesus Christ. I am a lowly sinner needing salvation for my sin. I found it in Jesus Christ, the one and only savior of the world. I can only tell you that Jesus loves you more than you hate me. I don't hate you back.
@jampants1 Wouldn't really call them the best ever, but still they're both pretty good bands....Certainly better than the shit that passess as rock in the mainstream these days...Too bad people think Christian rock sucks after hearing shitty bands such as Skillet,Creed,POD,As I Lay Dying etc.

That's hilarious that he's selling real estate...hope he's hugely successful at it!
Talk about a great bunch of talented musicians. Song writing, execution, production... all fantastic.

THIS IS ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE OF ALL CHRISTIAN ARTIST ROCK BANDS. YOU'VE GOT TO GIVE THEM A LISTEN IF YOU'VE NEVER HEARD THEM. THEY ARE GOOD!
Whiteheart was one of the greatest 80's/90's Christian artists out there... I wish they were still around rocking out...
One of the best rocksongs ever written. I miss these guys when I look at CCM today. Who else can write such powerful songs?!
The guitar work on this album was some of the best I've ever heard from a Christian rock band - Powerhouse was an amazing album - every song a total inspiration - never quite caught their depth again after this....
Such great memories! One of the first cassettes I got after getting saved.
These guys make up one of the greatest Christian Rock Bands of all time. Whether in concert or listening to them on CD, their music is fantastic.

Reminds me of when i used to raid my parent stapes and listen to Petra, White Heart, Carmen, and all the old school bands...sweet nostalgia...its been years but the effect is still just as powerful.

9 years passed by since I posted this video, and this is still one of the best songs I've heard. to the ones who didn't like it, may the love of God be with you. Btw,, I'm a sinner, not perfect, this is why chains must be broken.
Thank you very much. It's a great song, and in the video when the man throws the booze against the wall.....Praise the Lord!!!!!

I saw them years ago, and there wasn't a single piece of scaffolding that Rick didn't climb. That guy was all over the stage!

@notmaggot007 Heck yes!!! I used to listen to all my dad's "cassette tapes", he still has every one of their albums! Rock on Whiteheart!
Pedazo de rola viejo..:!!! Extraordinaria...!!!
They just have a real clean sound and sound lyrics.

Very inspiational song!
Wow, this song is awesome and yes, I AM a christian! :)
Its like this music has been lost! Never hear it anymore. Secular has their oldies stations but Christian music doesn't do same so once its not new anymore, its forgotten!
I had no idea that Whiteheart made older videos.

@classicrockrockz Just repent and trust Jesus he will give you the power to live a holy life he loves God bless.
This is really the only song I liked by White heart, the y are a talented bunch, just not my style. But this song is great!!!
Is he dancing or having a seizure? LOL! Some of the moves look hilarious!
