Came here to say I did it using Pi and asked it what seasonal color analysis type matches my complexion the closest. I've longed suspected I'm a soft autumn and Pi answered exactly that! It even left me a wholesome message to wear whatever makes me feel comfortable regardless of my palette. Y'all, Ai saves lives 😂

I colour-picked a photo of me using one of the apps op linked in the description (one colour for my eyes, two for my lips, one for my hair and three for my skin). I extracted all the hex codes and labelled them accordingly (eyes, lips, hair, skin) and then asked Pi what's the closest season for my complexion based on the hex codes.

Personally, it helped me a lot and actually confirmed what others have been telling me- that e.g black doesn't suit me but rather earthy, warm tones :D
I have just one note: you should have covered the dyed part of your hair! Our phone camera is not an eye, and it is not neutral, it will automatically balance colour and temperature of the picture. You can even see it in some colour analysis videos, when the cplour analysts pulls away one sheet of colour to reveal another one, you notice a jump when lighting "changes". Of course the lighting in the room doesn't actually change, but it is the camera automatically balancing the picture. Everything nearby will affect. Therefore, use natural light, no makeup, no bright colour clothes (ideally pure white or drape a sheet around your face), cover dyed hair and keep the background as neutral as possible. Otherwise the colour pick results will always ne tweaked a bit by the other colours in the picture.

I have one question bc you did mention about covering hair. You later said cover your “dyed” hair. If I have natural hair color should I still cover my hair like how they do with the real personal color analysis? And do you also have an answer to this question: you know how some people look terrible in white, then wouldn’t the white drapes also affect the results? Like, I get that it works as sort of like a white canvas. But I always wondered if it’s really the best to use white. Especially in my case, I know I don’t look good in light colors and I especially look terrible in white.

Wow! I have been professionally color matched before as a deep autumn. I’m a weird deep autumn because I have blue eyes, light skin, and dirty blonde hair naturally. The color analyst triple checked me but clearly deep autumn was my best palette with deep winter being my 2nd best. The color analysis apps always say light summer but those were the worst colors on me. I tried this on chatGPT and it said deep autumn, because I’m autumn but fall a bit to the winter palette. I’m impressed.

I used to think that I was a soft summer but chat gpt said I am a Soft autumn instead, not too far from what I thought I was, but still a little surprising.
I'm one of those who paid $150 for a professional (human) analysis 🙋🏻♀️ After trying this ChatGPT method, I can say that it is.... half-right. While it was able to successfully identify my warm-toned skin, my undertones fall more neutral, so I get washed out by typical "warm tone" colors. ChatGPT failed to recognize this, and recommended all of my worst colors-- olive green, mustard, beige, brown. I was also told by my analyst that strong contrast brings out my complexion, however ChatGPT gave the opposite advice- "avoid harsh contrasts". As a note, I get the most compliments when I wear bright, vivid colored tops and lip colors. Conclusion: If you fall cleanly into one of the color categories, ChatGPT will probably work well enough for you. For a more nuanced analysis (soft/muted/bright/vivid and/or neutral-leaning people), a professional will do a better job.

In fact, relying solely on eye and hair color might result in most Asians being classified into the autumn group. However, trying to analyze colors using GPT chat is still very fun. I believe that even though we can't exactly determine our personal color season with GPT chat, it can definitely help us identify whether our skin tone is warm or cool. Okay. I love this idea. But let me tell you what I think from the perspective of a personal stylist who does this service (by the way i’m in Europe ant this costs way less here). It is possible that chatgpt helps you with some guidelines, however it’ll never be able to define the undertone of your skin, the intensity or the real contrast between your features. It’s not that easy that you just take a picture and pick sone tones. You need to be in front of a natural light source, but definitely not when it’s midday and it’s too intense. Light bulbs tend to have a cool or warm coloring that also can cheat a lot and make your colors alter. That being said the chance that a robot recommends you colors and you end up wearing the wrong ones is actually pretty high. So if anyone does this, i highly recommend to ask chatgpt to define their seasonal categories (at least summer-spring-autumn-winter) and based on that go ahead and make a research on the subcategories and see if it really matches with your characteristics. I think ppl would rather spend their money on other things beside a colour analyst. This is just a great alternative for people who are on a budget but who are curious. I did it myself without any AI help. You need to collect your clothes or other fabric (different colors and shades), natural light is good, also helpful if you have white walls. And then you need to determine in which colors you look the best in, put it all in one place. That's your pallete. I had a decent palette of summer tyle afterwards. But I yet wasn't sure which summer type. For that I found helpful working with the photo and adding a preselected pallets to it to see what fits. Took some work, and some reserachlearning what to look at (eyes, skin), but now I know 😊. (I'm soft summer). To be fair, determing summer was easy, but soft summer was a bit surprise - but then it turns out it matches perfectly and explains a lot.
Thank you!!! I have been given 2 contradictory colour analysis results, and had lost confidence in what makeup and clothes to try. This method has convinced me of what I am at last. That’s because the AI didn’t just say which season I am, it also told me which of the makeup products that I already own suit me, and why, and which don’t. It was right every time. A blusher that I thought was warm, is in fact cool. So at last I realise why nothing seemed to suit me - my eye for warm/cool is not as great as I thought it was.

@@TechSav18 I just asked ChatGPT if it could estimate my kibbe body type and it said it could get close given measurements such as height, waist, hips, bust, inseam, shoulder width, arm length, etc. It also suggested to put in descriptions such as bone structure (I found it hard to be objective about that so I skipped that part). It said I was either a soft gamine or a natural and then I asked it what cuts, patterns, and specific styles looked best on those body types with my measurements. It probably could’ve narrowed it down a bit more if I had been descriptive about my bone structure but it got pretty close!

I tried it several times with the same set of hex color #, and I saw all the seasons appearing in the result. (First, it said I'm an autumn with winter as a secondary season. Then the second time it said I'm a spring with a summer as my secondary season.) NOW I'm confused. Having it combines the analysis doesn't help either. Smh. But at least it consistently determines I'm dominantly warm, I guess.

Color analysis should be done while comparing your coloring to other colors to see what best suits you. This is why I think it’s inaccurate to just solely look at your colors because undertone can’t be determined. Anyone looking at me would think I’m a warm undertone because I’m Southeast Asian and tan very easily, but I’ve gotten my color analysis professionally done and I’m a true winter, so I have a fully cool undertone. We all have our own biases so it impacts our color analysis results when we try to do them ourselves, which is why I think people should go to a trusted expert to get their colors analyzed. I would suggest looking into Carol Brailey’s content- she’s very knowledgeable and I got my virtual color analysis done with her for $150. I save so much money because I’ve stopped overbuying clothes and makeup. Whenever something doesn’t fit my color analysis results exactly, I tell myself I can’t buy it. LOL sorry for the lengthy reply but I just feel like there’s so much misinformation going around on the internet surrounding color analysis

I'm one of those who paid $150 for a professional (human) analysis 🙋🏻♀️
After trying this ChatGPT method, I can say that it is.... half-right. While it was able to successfully identify my warm-toned skin, my undertones fall more neutral, so I get washed out by typical "warm tone" colors. ChatGPT failed to recognize this, and recommended all of my worst colors-- olive green, mustard, beige, brown. I was also told by my analyst that strong contrast brings out my complexion, however ChatGPT gave the opposite advice- "avoid harsh contrasts". As a note, I get the most compliments when I wear bright, vivid colored tops and lip colors.
Conclusion: If you fall cleanly into one of the color categories, ChatGPT will probably work well enough for you. For a more nuanced analysis (soft/muted/bright/vivid and/or neutral-leaning people), a professional will do a better job.

I believe that even though we can't exactly determine our personal color season with GPT chat, it can definitely help us identify whether our skin tone is warm or cool. Okay. I love this idea. But let me tell you what I think from the perspective of a personal stylist who does this service (by the way i’m in Europe ant this costs way less here).
It is possible that chatgpt helps you with some guidelines, however it’ll never be able to define the undertone of your skin, the intensity or the real contrast between your features. It’s not that easy that you just take a picture and pick sone tones. You need to be in front of a natural light source, but definitely not when it’s midday and it’s too intense. Light bulbs tend to have a cool or warm coloring that also can cheat a lot and make your colors alter. That being said the chance that a robot recommends you colors and you end up wearing the wrong ones is actually pretty high. So if anyone does this, i highly recommend to ask chatgpt to define their seasonal categories (at least summer-spring-autumn-winter) and based on that go ahead and make a research on the subcategories and see if it really matches with your characteristics. I did it myself without any AI help. You need to collect your clothes or other fabric (different colors and shades), natural light is good, also helpful if you have white walls. And then you need to determine in which colors you look the best in, put it all in one place. That's your pallete. I had a decent palette of summer tyle afterwards. But I yet wasn't sure which summer type. For that I found helpful working with the photo and adding a preselected pallets to it to see what fits. Took some work, and some reserachlearning what to look at (eyes, skin), but now I know 😊. (I'm soft summer).

easy, but soft summer was a bit surprise - but then it turns out it matches perfectly and explains a lot.

That’s because the AI didn’t just say which season I am, it also told me which of the makeup products that I already own suit me, and why, and which don’t. It was right every time. A blusher that I thought was warm, is in fact cool. So at last I realise why nothing seemed to suit me - my eye for warm/cool is not as great as I thought it was.

I did this, four times!!! Only because I change skin tones depending on the lighting. I then asked her if she could compile it on an average recommended palate. We then spoke about colors, specifically asking ChatGPT what shades of blue (my fav color) would go well. She’s so enthusiastic I love ChatGPT ☺️

@@TechSav18 I just asked ChatGPT if it could estimate my kibbe body type and it said it could get close given measurements such as height, waist, hips, bust, inseam, shoulder width, arm length, etc. It also suggested to put in descriptions such as bone structure (I found it hard to be objective about that so I skipped that part). It said I was either a soft gamine or a natural and then I asked it what cuts, patterns, and specific styles looked best on those body types with my measurements. It probably could’ve narrowed it down a bit more if I had been descriptive about my bone structure but it got pretty close!

I tried it several times with the same set of hex color #, and I saw all the seasons appearing in the result. (First, it said I'm an autumn with winter as a secondary season. Then the second time it said I'm a spring with a summer as my secondary season.) NOW I'm confused. Having it combines the analysis doesn't help either. Smh.
But at least it consistently determines I'm dominantly warm, I guess.

Color analysis should be done while comparing your coloring to other colors to see what best suits you. This is why I think it’s inaccurate to just solely look at your colors because undertone can’t be determined. Anyone looking at me would think I’m a warm undertone because I’m Southeast Asian and tan very easily, but I’ve gotten my color analysis professionally done and I’m a true winter, so I have a fully cool undertone. We all have our own biases so it impacts our color analysis results when we try to do them ourselves, which is why I think people should go to a trusted expert to get their colors analyzed. I would suggest looking into Carol Brailey’s content- she’s very knowledgeable and I got my virtual color analysis done with her for $150. I save so much money because I’ve stopped overbuying clothes and makeup. Whenever something doesn’t fit my color analysis results exactly, I tell myself I can’t buy it. LOL sorry for the lengthy reply but I just feel like there’s so much misinformation going around on the internet surrounding color analysis
