What a lifesaver, 1 day the battery went dead on my fob, the locks were working fine prior, so I said no problem I’ll replace the battery did that and then nothing, I thought it was a more complicated issue, not till I watched this, and voila the locks sprang to life 😀 thanks so much!!!

Hi, in my case it didn't work. Most probably, it caused by immooff I did recently. The immooff was successful. But after that I lost my remote, it doesn't lock and unlock. Any advice dear friend?
this process only applies to the original key fob if you try to program a new with these steps it does not work. it needs special and expensive equipment to program a brand new one.
I have Benz ML W163 from 2000 year. I need to get new key + chip, can you tell me the information of your chip + from which store in alliexpress you got yours?

did u change the batteries already on the fob i had the batteries where doing false contact and was loosing programming too. make sure the batteries and the contacts are tight.
Did you guys figure out problem? I have same problem and it’s probably not the battery contact issue , I have 2 fobs and already secure battery so there no chance to loose contact. But it always reset after procedure. BUT I have my passanger door lock actuator problem so maybe that’s why? Thanks for attention guys
Ok, when you buy a remote control with a new key, how do you operate it on the car, because I bought a key with a new remote, but when I applied this method, it did not work.
this method only applies if u replaced the battery and it did not work again. if u bought a new one it will need programming. mercedes has very weird and special procedures to prom things.
I have seen on these keys that sometimes the battery is not doing good contact. but the best way to know for sure if the key is good is with a frequency reader
@@JVFIXLLC I set up an appointment with a Mercedes dealership and they'll charge me to reprogram the key but I wanted to make sure that I tried everything before I go to the dealership.
this process is just to resync the remote is not to program a new one, is if you changed the battery in the remote you have to resync it, if you want to program a new remote it needs special tools

go to a website called DHS keys hardware and you can select the car there and it will give u the right chip #

yes u have to make sure it lights up. if not u wanna check the battery first

on these older mercedes u need the special tool called tango. older mercedes have a bit more complicated key programming process

@@JVFIXLLC The frequency readers are much more expensive than the key reprogramming the dealership is offering, might be best just to go to them
yea the steps are a bit tricky too. I have heard also that some dealers would even resync it for free. I wish good luck man.
