I started watching from the first videos you put out. I crammed five years into a few months! I felt like I got invested in your family and the birth of your kids. Really cool. It's so sad to seem them draining the lake. It already has all the natural beauty it needs. I feel so bad for the fish and all the wildlife thats gonna be left with nothing causevman has slways got to mess something up. Great video alwzys enjoy your channel
You should get a couple of farm tubs and rescue some of bass from the lake. Keep them fed up till the water comes back and then release them. 🤔 heck you can use a bunch of Walmart pools. They come with a filter
Cole as sad as I am feeling with the issues at the lake, the state may be doing you a favor in draining the lake rapidly. The faster that it dries up the faster they was be able to get in and do the task that they have at hand. I am thinking that you will be without your favorite fishing spots for four or five years. The children will have an excellent opportunity to learn how to fish like Momma and Daddy do it. At lease the Department of Wildlife have a plan to return the lake to something that you can live with. Prayers for your entire family that everyone is well.
Their plan is to have it dry for 5 years. So that, plus however long it takes to fill back up plus the time it takes for fish to be restocked and grow to good catching size. It’s gonna be a while unfortunately
I'm glad you're fishing your home lake. The fish are beautiful. I love seeing the bluegill and redear videos. They don't get that big where I live. Don't know why you don't fillet a bunch of these bass and shrink wrap , and put then in the freezer. When you can't fish anymore , you can still eat fish for months . That's what what I do, so I can eat fish year round . Just saying.
Honestly, we have 2 freezers full to the top with fish that we eat from. Stocked up for a long time although we still do often keep fish fresh to eat. It’s just hard to drag them around on a stringer out there through the grass and I didn’t have a cooler I could fit with my things in my kayak this time. We will be keeping some next time we go out!
If these fish are mostly destined to die why don't you fill up your freezer so they don't go to waste? I would killfor just one of those four pounders.
I would have to buy a third deep freezer. We are stocked to the brim with fish. While we do still keep fish to eat fresh, we have fish in our freezer that we have already stocked up on to last us a very long time and we eat fish 3-4 times a week

Suggestion. Not sure if all these fish will be drained out or left to die. In the event these fish are all doomed and left for dead, I have an idea. Catch all you can. Catch them all. Give them to your friends, take some to the church, have a fish fry, don't let them go to waste. I just hate to see good eating fish go to waste and left for dead. Northerns are great table fare comparable to perch and walleye, just with more bones. I agree a pickeral catch and cook is in order.
