Thanks momma, this is hard for me to get through and I've watched multiple times. I just put my left over McD napkins to good use. Allegedly, the god in the shape of a girl lyric came from her being stuck in an airport. Everyone was tired and ornery but there was a toddler little girl who was making people laugh and smile so Aurora thought wouldn't it be nice if god could make people feel like that little girl did. The facial reactions of the watchers are also an emotional treat. Yes, Fabrice does a wonderful job with his channel, KUDOS to him.
Aw - what a brilliant story. Of course there was such a depth to the meaning of that line. Thanks again, Dave, for suggesting this one. I would say sorry it made you cry - but you knew that when you clicked on the video, I'll bet. 🤣😅 I go into every Aurora reaction assuming that I'll probably cry.
@@TheRealMommaOG Not the first time and won't be the last. Whats amazing to me is recognizing the significance of the little girl at that moment and then to include in a beautiful song. If you remember the "Forgotten Love" from Brazil video we did and the interview after she said she might combine a lyric from 2005 with a melody from 2010. I don't know but I'd bet she all those memories tucked away in that little head of hers. Her mind isn't normal, in a good beautiful way. Might even say, "infected".
@@TheRealMommaOG Here is the full quote from an Oct 2018 article, and this idea of hers eventually led to her Jan 2022 album "The Gods We Can Touch": "I was at an airport, it was late, I was alone and my plane was the last one to leave. It was the year before I wrote the song, so 2016, which was a hard year for me because it was quite busy and I was sick all the time - I was in the hospital many many times. So yeah, at the airport... I was on my way home again, I felt a bit out of place, out of my own body, and then I looked at this family. I saw two very tired parents, and then this little girl . she was maybe 3 years old - and she seemed to give them so much joy, even though they were very tired. And she gave me a lot of joy. And then I saw an old couple, leaning over to look at this little girl who was smiling back at them. She seemed to interact with almost everyone at the gate, and make everyone happy. Without even knowing it. And I loved the way happiness and love can be so... simple? Don't underestimate the power of a child. It was just very magical to see how much it affected everyone and everything. If I was to choose a religion, I would love it if god would be something you can touch. Something like this little girl, on this earth, and not something that is far away or judges from above, you know?"
🧚 Aurora 🧚 said she was waiting in an airport and the mood wasn’t anything special, and then she saw this little girl filled with such joy, everyone’s mood was lifted 🙂 So, 🧚 Aurora 🧚 wrote this song for the little girl (in honor of her) thank you!! This song makes me break down every time I hear it, too, but in a good way ❤
this is one of the most interesting performances to watch people react to. aurora once said, that this is the most important song she wrote. the closing verse of this performance is unique, never happend before or after. thanks for the request and the reaction.
Thanks ! You know that we humans are wired up with each other, so when we see someone cry its natural to connect to each other and the tears flow. Auroras music is interpreted from the heart. Best from Bergen, Norway
Allow what you feel....no shame in that.....believe what you believe.....it is yours.......just don't follow blindly, always question and listen to your Heart !!
Thanks for this heartfelt reaction, as always❤️ And thanks to Dave for recommending this amazingly beautiful song and performance😍 Imo no one write songs like Aurora, she touches my heart deeply💙🦋
...like nothing I ever saw or heard in all of my life...I didn't know that I was missing Aurora...breathtaking performance and I'm very moved by your reactions to her videos...thank you!!!
Yes. This song is incredibly deep and beautiful. No need to apologize for reacting emotionally to it. This is what AURORA has often said is her calling: to reach people and help them.
Thank you for watching this one. I hold this song/performance in the highest regards. Every aspect of this song is simply beautiful. Her voice and her message never sounded better IMO.
Fabrice is awesome! I hope at some point you react to the entire HAIK documentary, the best version of which is, as you'd expect, on Fabrice's channel.
This song hits every single time. It’s very personal for me too, I have always questioned religion, God, how we treat the planet… Aurora put into words all my thoughts and feelings somehow 💜
Thanks Momma! Sweet song! I've always hoped the Creator is my friend. It feels like playing hide and seek sometimes! But I won't let my friend down by quitting the "game" just because my friend seems to be so good at hiding!
You need to watch the whole Haik documentary! It would have been nice for you to see this song as part of the whole thing but oh well. Love your reactions btw! 😊
You have nothing to say sorry for Momma. You are just wonderful. You restart that video however may times you want and I will still love you. Love from Norway Mom.
Ok it’s 1am in the morning. Cold dark & frosty . I’ve had a great evening, safe & secure in my City as a man. I have 2 daughters ( from the waters ) & know how. Unsafe sonorous feel
Once you decide to start your documentary journey, this one, Haik, is the one I would recommend the most. You’ll learn quite a bit about the Genius Empath 🧚 Aurora 🧚 And there is so much goodness in the story.
@@mistercointreau5247 I recall more than one interview of 🧚 Aurora 🧚 where she states performing wasn’t easy for her at first, she actually didn’t like it. One of the reasons why, was she said she’s always been a sensitive person and could feel the room’s energies and it was overwhelming at times. Also she mentions her songwriting is a direct result of needing to get the emotions “out”, for her own (mental) health; because she felt so deeply for the world (Mother Earth) and all people. 🧚 Aurora 🧚 is truly one of a kind and we are blessed her mother convinced her to help people heal with her music.
@@gratefulpitnicker Well, she has certainly come out of her shell. She loves performing on stage now and never stops touring so it would seem. She should take a little break from it all and spend some downtime in Bergen. But then she would soon get ants in her feet to use one of her expressions.
@@mistercointreau5247 yes, I think she needs to take a break also. It seems she has been touring non stop; let’s hope she takes some time for herself very soon. (I’ve heard her use that expression in an interview) 🐜🐜🦶🦶
Thanks for this, great reaction! I love this song and this performance. If you're going to watch the full Haik documentary an concert, absolutely watch the version from Fabrice's channel, make sure it's titled ""New" HAIK Full Version with updated English subtitles, and some more extracts" it's 1 hour and 17 minutes long, and you'll need to turn on subtitles. Again this song is very abstract and I cannot easily derive much meaning from it. Aurora is a heathen at heart and I hope she finds God one day but I don't think it will happen any time soon. Having said that, Aurora is a wonderful person as we all know and I adore her music.
Instinctually it feels a bit harsh to call someone a heathen who may not believe in a conventional god. In that case, I am a heathen as well. 😅 But I'm ok with it. I try not to apply my own beliefs to other people's decisions and use my views to measure them as a fellow human being. For me the song is about questioning the existence of a higher power versus the turmoil seen, heard, felt by humans and so desperately wanting some kind of confirmation. I would guess that many people have gone through that on their journey with religion. I know I did so it's so good to see that there are others with a platform for validating that while I'm vastly outnumbered in this great big world, I am not alone.
@@TheRealMommaOG Your take on the song is quite accurate I feel. As for calling Aurora a heathen, I did not mean it in a negative way. I think she actually regards herself as a heathen and she has even composed a song called Heathens.
Aurora is not a heathen. If anything she is a modern Pagan like myself. We worship the powers of nature, and Mother Earth is sacred to us. And we believe in good values more than a spesific belief system. She is Norwegian and paganism is a part of our culture.
@@mistercointreau5247 Thank you. I think I picked up on the fact you weren't being disrespectful - it was just an instinctual thought that came to me. I appreciate you further explaining.
@@i_d_i_e_h I agree with you that pagan is a better word to use regarding Aurora. However, Aurora loses me on the subject of global warming and the use of fossil fuels. I am a Christian and worship nature as much as any pagan.
