    Thanks, Matt for always making super informative videos. I was wondering what kind of content we cannot upload. I once tried to upload a video on stock footage of a platform here in Japan and it wasn't accepted even though the video did not show the faces of people. Thanks for your help in advance.

    Is there way to export individual clips in Final Cut Pro? Great video Matt, thanks for sharing all this wonderful information.

    I was wondering whether I should color grade my footage. I thought filmmakers would prefer log clips so they could color grade them to fit in their video. Then again I guess agencies are most likely to buy stock footage, and they probably want it ready to go. Thank you!

    Im somewhat new to this. I export on a PC using Premiere Pro and then im usually exportting using the DSLR or RED camera 4K codec, Is Apple ProRes 422 HQ so much better than them or whats the difference? Im mostly using DJI Mavic Air 2 4k and DJI Pocket 4K footage.

    Hi, Can I color grade and do basic lighting setting in my raw footage using iMovie and Da Vinci Resolve (free version) for stock?

  • @Meer1996

    If 4K or more is present then use it, if only 1080p is available, then use that but never upscale. Color correct your clips and even apply a simple color grade but never customize it too much, some sites allow uploading a log version as well. You don't need audio. Best frame rate is 24 fps or if not 30 fps, higher frame rates should be slowed down. The usually allowed video clip lengths are 5 to 60 seconds. 4 GB is a limit in most sites so you could keep a large Quicktime ProRes 422 HQ files and a couple smaller versions if needed.

    Hi Matt, I tried to apply on Artgrid and in the submission form I pasted 6 RUclips URLs of 10 seconds clips I prepared. I got a reply less than 2 minutes later saying I was not accepted. They said it should be in high bit rate and in 4K - which they are. In your PDF guide you advise to have hundreds of clips ready before applying, where they only ask for 4. When applying do you put a dropbox link to the high res file, or a youtube 4K link? Many thanks for you help and advice, Yann

    Hi I've just subscribed. I'm trying to make some money out of filming stock video clips. I currently use a Dji osmo action and shoot in 4k at 60 fps. I'm upgrading my camera and conisidering the Sony a7m3 camera since its more cinematic than the osmo action. Do you think video clips taken with the sony a7m3 would sell for more?

    it so annoying everytime when i upload drone footage. it does not accept it and i dont know why!!! the footage is clear and smooth everything perfect

    • @johnhpalmer6098
      @johnhpalmer6098 Год назад

      I bet a parameter or requirement or two are NOT met in your clips, best to check with what the requirements are for the type of footage you are uploading and be certain you are adhering to the requirements being asked. If that means ensuring your clips are of a certain size, then make that happen. Clarity of footage is not enough. Thus, why Matt has said all that he has said here as that can make your footage get rejected or accepted.

    Should I get a 20,000$ business loan so that I can afford all the camera gear and computer equipment for 4k processing, so I can start doing this? Or is this for people who naturally already just happen to have lots of money for all the material needed just to get started? (For example: it could take a poor person years just to save up for the camera alone...)

      @@petrub27 Exactly there are sites you can type an idea in and it will literally generate photo realistic pictures. It's a matter of time before they can do video. I actually have lost a job in the video industry already because of AI replacing me. I signed an NDA so that's really as much as I can say. But it's getting more capable every day as we continue to train it.
