The C Support is fantastic, and probably one of the best examples of Edelgard's moral ambiguity because of how PERSONAL the example is for her specifically. She wasn't willing to openly defy the Agarthans until she was placed into the most convenient position possible, and had things been even a smidge less in her favor, not only would reaching Monica have likely been impossible, but she was alao perfectly prepared to accept that and just... Move on. It's a harsh reminder of just how strong Edelgard's commitment to her convictions is, for both better and worse, and she's guilty about how highly Monica thinks of her when the truth, she only saved her by relying on nothing but stupid luck. I really enjoy how it presents the firmness, lack of compromise that Edelgard has to her end goals, and how the guilt she feels is very real, but doesn't stop her. A great depiction of her character in just one single conversation.

I feel like a lot of the Hubert simp accusations are just anti Edelgard comments in disguise. He's not a simp because he's loyal to her and devoted to her cause, he's a simp because he's loyal to EDELGARD.
To think that Monica’s fate relied solely on which mercenary the three lords met on that night, which would result in Jeritza or Byleth being a teacher.
Sadly, never gonna happen in a million years, especially when understanding the tension between Edelgard and Dimitri. Plus, I don't think people will be happy about having a unity between the 3 lords, mainly for the sole purpose of not wanting another revelations.
You can have all three of them at once in the mid chapter, but only if Byleth is still alive and you recruited her, there's a special event where you challenge Shez but in full power mode and whatever house you choose have to stop them before they kill Byleth. After saving Byleth, complete the main mission and a special cutsence will appear with all three lords. Not going into details but you have to figure it out.
Claude and Edelgard can work together same as Claude and Dimitri, but Claude’s ambitions are closer to Edelgard’s in Three Hopes, it’s impossible to have Dimitri and Edelgard on the same path just because both of them grown different from their past traumas.
So basically she's another Faye who acts as Edelgard's #1 Fangirl, a bit strange she made Edelgard her whole world all because she chose not to sacrifice her after admitting she would.

The difference is that Faye became like that because of traumatizmes while it's seem that it's just Monica's normal personnality, Eldelgard say that she was always like that and she act with Dorothea a bit in the same way that with Edelgard.
BTW, it's not that Edelgard is actually willing to throw Monica away at a moment's notice, Edelgard still does value her comrades. She's telling Monica this so that Monica won't stay obsessed with Edelgard if she realizes that Edelgard doesn't think highly of her. Again, it's only for the purposes of putting Monica at a distance because Edelgard can see that it's not just unhealthy, but also dangerous for Monica to be willing to throw her life away just to serve Edelgard. Unfortunately, Monica didn't mind that Edelgard would do that to her and says she loves Edelgard anyways. As you can see at 3:13, when Edelgard realizes that her trying to tell Monica that she was meant to be a sacrifice didn't work, she's struggling to come up with a response and then just accepts that Monica is so dedicated and leans into the angle that she'll make use of Monica's dedication instead of trying to push Monica away.
Edelgard telling Monica straight up that she was prepared to sacrifice her is interesting. The fact that she says it in response to Monica expressing such strong loyalty, I feel like Edelgard telling her this was her attempt to tell Monica that she is undeserving of such loyalty because of how she was prepared to make let Monica die if it meant she was one step closer to her goal. But Monica decides that it doesn't matter because her devotion to Edelgard is unbending.
Yes, there are not as many supports in Three Hopes as Three houses and many supports are only 2 Ranks. Everyone can get C support mostly for adjutant usage but many times they don't have any C Rank Convo
Quite interesting but at the same time it feels a bit bland. Many have compared her to Faye who has 1 (one!) notable character trait, and I have to partially agree with them.

( To the same extent as the Church. ) And if Edelgard was to act against TWSITD in anyway without making sure she her back covered. TWSITD will use the most extreme action to make sure she knows her place. It why during CF, where she does do a outright attack on TWSITD, taking down Cornelia, Thalas then nukes Arrionhod because the line has been drawn then and he knows that Edelgard would either have to reveal TWSITD presence to the Empire which would cause major loss of Moral and would allow the Kingdom and the Church to get the upper hand or for her to use a similar lie Rhea made in the past saying that the Goddess cause Aliel by saying that it Church fault for the city destruction. ( When in both cases it was caused by TWSITD. ) Monica being rescued was a complete miracle being since it relied on Arval messing up "the fated encounter with Byleth meeting the lord's." by reviving Shez, having Kostas die which while was the OG plan, due to Claude tactical retreat which acted like a diversion. Caused the whole plan to fall apart. Have the rest of Kostas band of Bandit / Iron King's retreat back to base and then have Jeritza become Professor. Then once Jeritza becomes professor, then it up to Rhea and Seteth one whether or not they want to fully take care of the rest of the Iron King Bandits in their base as well as having a good enough excuse for Jeritza to wonder off and lead whoever dealing with the Iron King's to where Monica is being housed near by. Since they both have to use that excuse both on the Church to get away with going AWOL and with TWSTID. Edelgard does care for Monica and the rest of the Beagles lives and always tells them to value their lives and goals over her and her causes but the situation Monica would have been impossible to get her out of without thing playing out in Edelgard favour. ( Side note: Before anyone complains about Edelgard getting lucky with her plans, go look at 3 Houses where none of her plans really work out in the end. )
Faye had no personality outside of Alm. Cyril has no personality outside of Rhea. I disagree with ur take on Hubert as he has some personality outside of being an edelgard simp and this goes for monica. Monica has a good thing going for her as she has a good eng va and, unlike faye and cyril, can live without saying their loves name in literally every sentence.

He values hard work and has no time for dancing around hard truths. He's blunt, dedicated and loyal and if Rhea hadn't earned the lion's share of that loyalty he'd still be those things. Hopefully not towards another person because, again, his obsession with Rhea is over the top and annoying, but to say he has no personality is to ignore every word he says that isn't, "Lady Rhea". I don't know much about Faye so I can't say much about her, and all I know about Monica is this video, but from this conversation Monica seems even more obsessed with Edelgard than Cyril is with Rhea. From this entire support, all I got from Monica is that Edelgard is literally the only thing she cares about and everything else is background noise.A talented VA doesn't fix that. Monica is better than Faye. Monica actually willingly accepts friendships and meaningfully contributes while Faye is just there and doesn't give a shit for anyone outside of Alm. Faye friendly fires people she even liked such as Celica in her second base convo lol.

@@BlueRose278 Not really both games shows that TWSITD has a lot of control over both the Empire and TWSITD. ( To the same extent as the Church. ) And if Edelgard was to act against TWSITD in anyway without making sure she her back covered. TWSITD will use the most extreme action to make sure she knows her place.
It why during CF, where she does do a outright attack on TWSITD, taking down Cornelia, Thalas then nukes Arrionhod because the line has been drawn then and he knows that Edelgard would either have to reveal TWSITD presence to the Empire which would cause major loss of Moral and would allow the Kingdom and the Church to get the upper hand or for her to use a similar lie Rhea made in the past saying that the Goddess cause Aliel by saying that it Church fault for the city destruction. ( When in both cases it was caused by TWSITD. )
Monica being rescued was a complete miracle being since it relied on Arval messing up "the fated encounter with Byleth meeting the lord's." by reviving Shez, having Kostas die which while was the OG plan, due to Claude tactical retreat which acted like a diversion. Caused the whole plan to fall apart. Have the rest of Kostas band of Bandit / Iron King's retreat back to base and then have Jeritza become Professor.
Then once Jeritza becomes professor, then it up to Rhea and Seteth one whether or not they want to fully take care of the rest of the Iron King Bandits in their base as well as having a good enough excuse for Jeritza to wonder off and lead whoever dealing with the Iron King's to where Monica is being housed near by. Since they both have to use that excuse both on the Church to get away with going AWOL and with TWSTID.
Edelgard does care for Monica and the rest of the Beagles lives and always tells them to value their lives and goals over her and her causes but the situation Monica would have been impossible to get her out of without thing playing out in Edelgard favour. ( Side note: Before anyone complains about Edelgard getting lucky with her plans, go look at 3 Houses where none of her plans really work out in the end. )

Faye had no personality outside of Alm. Cyril has no personality outside of Rhea. I disagree with ur take on Hubert as he has some personality outside of being an edelgard simp and this goes for monica. Monica has a good thing going for her as she has a good eng va and, unlike faye and cyril, can live without saying their loves name in literally every sentence.
@@meridia2987 If you think Cyril has no character then you know nothing about him. He's more important to the worldbuilding than Monaca is, not just from what we learn about the Church and Rhea but Almyra and the Alliance.

@@meridia2987 I disagree on your take on Cyril. Yes, he's obsessed with Rhea and it's annoying, but whenever he talks about himself or literally anything else his personality is obvious. He values hard work and has no time for dancing around hard truths. He's blunt, dedicated and loyal and if Rhea hadn't earned the lion's share of that loyalty he'd still be those things. Hopefully not towards another person because, again, his obsession with Rhea is over the top and annoying, but to say he has no personality is to ignore every word he says that isn't, "Lady Rhea".
I don't know much about Faye so I can't say much about her, and all I know about Monica is this video, but from this conversation Monica seems even more obsessed with Edelgard than Cyril is with Rhea. From this entire support, all I got from Monica is that Edelgard is literally the only thing she cares about and everything else is background noise.A talented VA doesn't fix that. I hope her other supports flesh her out more because right now she has much less personality than even Cyril and, for all that I just wrote a whole paragraph defending him, he's still bottom of the barrel among the 3H cast.

I hated Monica because I was trying to marry Edelgard and noticed their behaviour/bond. 🤣🤡🥴 Never saw any of these cutscenes between characters that aren’t your own though. Do they play out on their own or is there a menu option?
It's called C-B and A supports. You get them while two characters "engage" and while you play. If you've played..you should know though.
