Class. One of my Fav places in the world. I have not been in the past two years, But before COVID, I was there once a year. Airpod's Camera. Heaven. I hope all three of you enjoy. M.
Bummed you couldn't tour the canals. Did it as a kid with my dad and 35 years later, it's still one of the coolest experiences I've ever had. Hopefully you'll get to experience it in and around Amsterdam.
@@SailingJibsea Get it the next time around. Stoked for you. If you haven't already left Amsterdam, make sure you get a beer under the windmill near Zeeburgerdike. It's on the East side of town. Hands down some of the best beer on the planet.
Hi guys, your unpredictable days make for great viewing, the way you adapt and always see the positive in life is heart warming. I went to dockum in the north, which was full of beautiful old boats. Best regards from nz.
I sure hope you enjoy the Netherlands and I'am impressed with your trip up to now. I'm a Dutchie from SV yet to come :-) and hope to get as far as Toronto one day! Have fun on your trip in Amsterdam!!
Wish I could have enjoyed the Netherlands like you two. Amsterdam was... interesting. I love their canals, but watch out for the bikes and listen for those little bells, lol.
I don't want to be nasty in any way by asking the following question: @ ruclips.net/video/9960XmITgmE/видео.html there's a sign on the bank. That sign is just one of dozens we have to know to pass the exam to get a license to be able to sail the canals of Belgium/Holland. Did you pass a similar exam? If not, how did you know what the sign meant? Really just curious how these licenses work out internationally.
This is not true, in the Netherlands you only need a license for a boat longer than 15 meter or 49ft and for motorboats who can go faster than 20 kph. I wish more pleasure boats would have a licence in the Netherlands because a lot of people make dangerous moves on the water.
One of the best sailing channels on RUclips!
Thanks so much! Means a lot
Beautiful vid! Thanks for sharing!
We loving following along your journey… never a dull moment!!
Aww we miss you guys!!

Happy New Year! 🥂 ✨
Have fun pirate’s ☺️
If you find a ANWB store, ask for the Standing Mast route, its all the canal/river routes for a sailboat.
We started off in the staande mast route. Couldn’t go any further along that route to Amsterdam with closures
Yay! You’re at 30k, hopefully soon 100k. You’re doing some of the most interesting and unique sailing. Love you! Stay safe. 😘👏✌️🌻
We appreciate that! Happy New Year! 🥂
Good luck
yikes... North Sea in the late fall... uggh... It can be crazy rough and dangerous there. BE SAFE

Another good episode! Sailing means you've got to be flexable! Time is not measured the same way as on land. Enjoy Amsterdam and a happy new year!
