I agree with you it wasn't realistic for Wayne to headline the Superbowl. Regarding your point that Kendrick already performed at the Super Bowl, Beyonce performed in 2013 and again in 2016 with Cold Play. So folks can definitely appear more than once.
Wayne isn’t as mainstream as ppl think. He’s one of the best to ever do it, but is not a worldwide star in the same way ppl like Kendrick, Beyoncé, or Drake are. The majority of ppl who aren’t hiphop fans or are just very casual listeners couldn’t name a single song by him, I promise you. And he’s not been relevant or “hot” for yrs, so the younger generations don’t really know his music/back catalogue either. That doesn’t take away from his greatness as an emcee. He’s just not gonna have the right mass appeal, his performances aren’t interesting enough to keep non-fans paying attention, and his name alone won’t bring in the overseas viewers or the ppl who aren’t football fans and only tune in for halftime.
@@Don_Thomas_ not a guy haha but I am a new subscriber. Really liked the vid 👍 I think most ppl are using it as a way to be pissed at JayZ and Kendrick. Last time the super bowl was in NoLa, Beyoncé was the performer. And nobody said a word about it then haha

First of all what I don't understand did anybody call Lil Wayne and tell him that he was going to be the super bowl headliner and then they gave it to Kendrick Lamar I don't think so
After la did they thing wit snoop and Dre ppl wanted to see n.o. do they thing wit Wayne I think where people is missing lil Wayne is one of the greatest rappers of all time he can remix some songs to make it nfl friendly and why do people think he won’t take the performance of the Super Bowl serious he performs so much so of course he won’t take those ones real serious like he whould the Super Bowl he can be a great performer when he wants to be his biggest hits are not Super Bowl friendly but I believe he can make them superbowl friendly with his rapping ability to remix some words like he did at the espys he remix a Millie with sports references at the espys and it was dope asf
You're right. I'm sure he could "play the part" if he had to. But i still think it's not ideal. Not to mention the other industry politics and beef happening behind the scenes that we may not know about, smh
Kendrick doesn’t owe Wayne anything..!👀🤷🏽♀️
Very true

Yup, you’re right.
@@Don_Thomas_it's also Kendrick's first time headlining the super bowl
Right, and they don't want someone on that stage who idolizes drugs, murders and unprotected sex.
Nope...they sure dont!! haha

Right.. I don’t think that was the case 😅
I agree, they need to get a life. No one owes no one anything. No need to feel like you let anyone down, you owe them nothing
I agree!
