- Apex Legends New Season Is The End Of Heirlooms as we have leaks for an upcoming Bangalore heirloom recolor along with a pathfinder Mythic Skin but currentetly Bangalore has been broken for all of Season 22. She is getting fixed according to a devolper in the next patch but that does not change the fact the heirloom is not free and runs up to 160 dollars and would it be worth it to make a heirloom for a legend that wont even work.

Apex is the perfect case of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it”. Apex wasn’t “broke” until they started with SBMM and then all the sudden they think it is broke because players are dropping off and the rest is a disaster of a history

streamers are the worst thing to happen to gaming ever - gamers are convinced SBMM is the devil when really CBMM allows Preds to just farm newbs effectively gatekeeping/killing the game. COD had SBMM for decades (going back to PS3/360 days) and no one knew anything until streamers start complaining it was bad because they couldn't look like gods every single match

You know they aren’t going to drop anything cause it’s going to get disliked to hell and back.
How is it that I played over 20 games and died all 20 games, and each time I checked the death recap it was a pred with 10-20k+ kills, they must have thousands of hours into the game. How the hell do I compete with that? It’s every game. Not only that but my teammates are always legit bots. It makes no sense.

My thing is why is the havoc not going in with the flatline ans r 99 that you have to buy with exotic shards and not a event !?!? That would make more sense no? And put a heirloom or shards or heirloom recolor or universal heirloom but guns should never be the ending reward.
i think they should continue making "legend specific" heirlooms but at the same time, make them universal to use on every legend. when you equip the heirloom to the legend it was made for, then you will get special interactions with it.

Putting everything else aside, it confuses me that they refuse to put out heirlooms. It's insane that the playerbase has actually accepted and even begged to spend around $200 for a character heirloom. That's free garunteed $ for EA, so why would they put out these garbage universals that people hate instead?
The katar customization surprised me with how much you get for 150 heirloom shards. Now all legends who don’t have heirlooms have something instead of just fists. But Yes I entirely agree that Legend heirlooms should have caught up to current legend releases before universal heirlooms ever happened. As a side note as well - Overwatch mythic skins (which are the prestige skin equivalent in Apex) are customizable and 1/4 of the price of a prestige skin through a collection event or buying packs.
Also, buying the Overwatch battlepass gives you the currency to unlock these mythic skins for only $10. Something Apex would NEVER consider. $100+ for a f*cking skin is MENTAL and I can’t believe we as a gaming community and industry have gotten to this point.
They want to price gouge us, no more micro transactions it's all about macro now, they do have Chinese owners so this level of greed isn't just ea solely.

The fact that anyone ever spent 160 dollars on an heirloom still blows my mind. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen in gaming and they are literally worthless, it's not like counter strike where you can resell them. It's just pixels on a screen that is going to be gone when the game dies in a few years

Why r there so many cheaters in the game, why is matchmaking such a pain in the azz? There’s too much wrong with this damn game.
When they start making universal heirlooms we might think "wow, I can get an item for every legend. That's cool. I don't need to spend that much money. I can use the same thing in watson, Bangalore, gibby, etc"... However, people need to remind that heirlooms that are exclusive for a character are actually related to the lore, belonging specifically just for that character. They are removing the identity of each legend with this.
And no, universal heirlooms are no good. First, it looks terrible as hell. Second, after getting the universal heirloom, it comes like a black/grey dagger ugly af. You need to spend even more money to change their colour and even with that it doesn't look good.
Companies need to get money. We know that, we understand. But these guys are just milking a dried cow for months non stop with carrying for the game. Apex Legends needs care.

They don't want to release more heirlooms for less popular characters, I'd be down for getting heirloom for more popular characters again. Also ik, that wattson is not super popular rn, but her wallnart price tag scanner is kinda mid and I'd love then to do sth else. Also... I miss the cinematics explaining different heirlooms from early seasons so fing much ;_;
I made the mistake of getting my first heirloom for Mirage. Since S20 he is a completely impotent and useless character. Does not matter how he is buffed or nerfed as with current ESP hacks, his tac and ult dont work. Now i have an heirloom for a character that cannot be used anymore.
With over almost 4000 hours on the game And still only have 2 hairlooms since day one is a little ridiculous I miss the stories behind the characters when their hairlooms came out But Unfortunately The devs are so worried about this garbage new battle pass and worried about everything else and not worried about the bugs the cheaters and everything else in the game I think the only thing I'm excited 4 next season is the new map The rest of the stuff in the game the new battle pass us horrible The events are horrible Before they even consider finishing the reinversal hairloom they need to finish the legends hairlooms first Before even considering working on something else knowing that they have multiple characters in the game that doesn't have hairlooms yet It's just so sad to see this game Fall apart and die slowly But hey thanks for the update If it wasn't for you I probably wouldn't know anything about what's going on in Apex right now

its a slap in the face for them to do a recolor heirloom. double dipping big money. it is stupid they arent finishing their game with legend heirlooms but its probably a tactic mind trick to keep people anticipating their mains heirloom release.
At the start of this seasoni had a glimmer of hope when I realized you could buy one of the katar packs for around $50, still too much for a cosmetic but not bad; then I realized that you needed to buy the cobalt katar set with heirloom shards before any of the katar packs are usable. They know the game is dying so they set this bs up to squeeze the price of 500 packs, and $50 for the katar bundle out of the players. If you’re an apex whale you’re helping the stockholders kill the game.

EA are hoping to copy the success of CS:GO knifes but, choosing to put zero effort into the cosmetics, provide no alternative methods of obtaining them only through random chance loot boxes. The problem is cosmetics are so overpriced, lacklustre and on such a long window-shop timer that most people just ignore.

You can’t even say some of these characters are you anymore? People like mad Maggie vantage Newcastle. They’ve pretty much been out for two years now 2 1/2 regular earworms should continue at least to a year.
One of the more disappointing things in apex is the heirloom system. On top of the ridiculously low chance to get an heirloom, the universal heirloom isn't connected, in any way, to the legends themselves. No soul. Locked behind rng or an incredible paywall. Then they add recolor customization behind another paywall. Greedy and stupid.
Im really sad to see the spirit of the legends be ruined. I play because of the designs, lore, story & life of each legend making me feel more connected with each and every one released. I could play any BR but i always chose apex until now for this reason. As i Bloodhound main im sad that i dont think ill ever get to see additional lore & heirloom rework 💔💔💔
I think they should keep doing character heirlooms and universal too, I like the buster sword a lot because of the sounds it makes, recolored heirlooms are also nice, the katar is also nice despite not being a big fan because it's customizable...
I dont think the argument of lore connections with heirlooms is a valid one. Who is really like, "I love my Gibby heirloom and how it was a gift from his ex-boyfriend"? or "love Fuse's heirloom, it was a gift from BH!". They will like them because its a war club and a guitar.

Money grabb is EA for sure, i got heirloom shards sitting waitiing for the CS knife or Pathfinder skin, I would love to see them fix so that trails are added to wraith, bangalore, bloodhound, I have the wraith prestige skin, been holding off on buying other prestigeskins with shards due to trail missing. Dont get me started on the Katar, thats like an additional 500 bucks you need to get the "new shards" to unlock the skins, mindblowing.

Deathbox's surely was and is a nail in the coffin, heirlooms is what made Apex a bit more unique then other games since it had lore but now you can slap anyone with a blade that to me is the same no matter what
Nah the micro transactions are bad but they are not the problem. The problem is that they are adding in more while also ignoring the cheating and ranked and matchmaking issues. If the game was stable we wouldn’t care about the bad micropayments

After 6000 hours in Apex, i saw a lot. A LOT. From OG Stuff up to Bugs where you think, they should never happen.
Respawn kicked old Guys from the company and resplaced them with new ones. BUT the new onces makeing their job pretty Bad.. There is NOT A SINGLE SEASON bugfree... Every Season had something. They also getting greedier. I dont like this game anymore. Cheater probs, bugs, Ranked system, MMR system and many more.

I don't want any of the universal heirlooms and probably won't ever put any money into this game again. I've only bought the battle pass & 2 gun charms. I hardly play anymore because games have been so bad and full of cheaters and the servers are so bad it ruins the game. The death boxes and stickers are so dumb too.
Since they are monetizing everything, id very much like to just, buy heirlooms now thanks. I tire of waiting for a random pack to get me heirloom shards.

They keep this up and I will just stop playing. The only values in the store right now are the pack bundles. The skins have been over priced from the beginning..... $18 for a legendary skin, come on.
