as promised, a nayeontv friendly hawaiian tour guide commentary! MAJOR TL:DR alert this video takes place on the island of oahu, which seems to be the only one that korean entertainers have ever heard of because i've never seen any content from them on any other island 0:22 opening at hanauma bay, a nature reserve on the southwest shore of the island. there's a trolley that takes you from the parking lot down to the beach so you don't have to walk it. the parking is super cheap but if you get there late in the morning rush, the parking lot might be full. when that happens, i recommend parking at the koko marina shopping center nearby and just ubering the rest of the way. some tourists park in the nearby neighborhoods, which is very inconsiderate for the residents as it leaves them nowhere to park near their own home. 0:37 obviously the view is rather nice. this is an extremely popular tourist spot because it's shallow and the current/waves aren't harsh, which is exactly what made waikiki so popular with visitors. if you look at idol youtube pages and IG accounts when they visit hawaii, this is one of the number one places you'll see. 1:04 even though k-entertainers come to hawaii a lot, i almost never see any of them get in the water lol 1:21 this place is called halona. we mostly refer to it as blow hole (more on that later). it's a few minutes southeast of hanauma bay. that whole southern shore of the island has incredible views and halona lookout is definitely the best. from there you can see neighboring islands to the south. some say you can see three, some say you can only see two, and you'll have to take my word that these debates are inconclusive for some reason lol. the nearest is moloka'i, which appears on the horizon as a broad, flat plateau. in the distance beyond that, on a clear enough day, you'll see either maui or lana'i or both, and i can't stress enough how we can never agree on which lol 2:11 how we international fans sound when talking to nayeon 2:50 in the preview video they labeled here super sayan at this part lol 3:03 she's talking about the rainbow in the distance. it's very faint. i always trip out at how fascinated some visitors are when they see rainbows. i seriously sometimes wonder if they don't have rainbows where they're from lol. even the weakest looking ones make them pull out their phones. maybe i'm just jaded by rainbows because i see them every day. 3:27 if you continue traveling southeast from the previous spots, head around the southern shore of the island, then back north up the east coast of the island, you'll eventually reach bellows beach, part of a US Air Force installation in the town of Waimanalo. bellows is known for its sand being white and powdery, and for the tall trees that provide shade. this whole shoreline is magnificent and it's something you have to see once in your life. forget waikiki and diamond head and come to this place instead. 3:41 너무 춥다 means "very cold", and she says 누가 하와이 덥다 그랬어? which means "who said it was cold in hawaii?" lol, that part of the island is always extremely windy. she shouldn't have bothered even making her hair that day 4:15 (확신) 수영할 수 있겠는데요 egging her stylist (manager?) to swim lol 4:25* 물 진짜 깨끗해요! raving about how clean the water is [side note: there are very few reasons to ever wear pants in hawaii.] 4:56 random time/place jump back to hanauma bay. it's hella confusing whether this was recorded the same day as the previous stuff or not. it looks like later in the day, slightly different weather from what she saw at halona and bellows, plus she's wearing different clothes, even though you know good and well she didn't swim lol but still has that useless hat on. why does she have to be confusing like this? lol anyway so this is back at hanauma bay, specifically kalani'ana'ole highway (a mouthful, i know) leading to the bay. she and her manager unnie are walking along the scenic point that overlooks the rich people town of hawaii kai. 6:14 (억울) 진짜 여기 발 한번만 담가보고 십다 cutely whining about going in the water. she's wearing a ribbon around her neck and doesn't look at all like she intends to go in the water lol 6:24 that mountain in the background (more specifically, the remaining half of a volcanic tuff cone that collapsed) is called koko crater but we just call it koko head. it's one hell of a difficult hike. since she isn't hiking it or anything i won't elaborate too much. but i really think you'd be interested in finding out about this hike and why it's so famous/dangerous/difficult. 6:46 came back to halona (i'm honestly not sure why they re-visited the same spots on the island when there are so many things to see here) 6:56* so this is halona cove, located below the lookout and the roadway. there are a lot of people there in the video, but it is still relatively secluded compared to most of the well-known beaches on the island. anyway, around the corner on the left side of the cove, there is a lava tube that shoots up water when the waves crash in, and that's why this place is called blow hole. 7:30 it bothers me they never filmed a MV for Chillax. it's one of their best songs. if they were to film one, it would have to be at a place like this. 8:36 "proud of my hair!" 9:07 talking about not going to diamond head (iconic hiking spot near waikiki) and showing off mina's acai bowl which probably cost like $11 9:35 lol 10:08 Health Bar on monsarrat avenue, beyond the southern end of waikiki, past the zoo. twice actually visited a smoothie shop across the street from there in a previous video, but i can't remember which one. anyway, health bar is a neat little place and i like the smoothies there. that mermaid airbrush art on the surfboard is unmistakable. btw song is called Shot Thru the Heart alright so, this took way longer to type than i thought it would and i'm honestly exhausted. but these are fun and i like giving commentary for videos about hawaii, so even though it was long, i hope you enjoyed following along as much as i enjoyed typing it. as i addressed in my commentary for the teaser video, and will continue to point out in all these nayeon videos, pointing out locations isn't a safety issue because 1) these videos were recorded a very long time ago and 2) these are well-known spots that anyone in hawaii can find. i wouldn't be tour-guiding like this if it were any risk to the bunny. * i really love the use of the song Chillax here. not only does it have the right vibe, the lyrics of the song basically embody the philosophy here in the islands. chill and chill and relax lax. but that's not why they chose it for this video; they chose it because nayeon has the chorus lol

6:24 that mountain in the background (more specifically, the remaining half of a volcanic tuff cone that collapsed) is called koko crater but we just call it koko head. it's one hell of a difficult hike. since she isn't hiking it or anything i won't elaborate too much. but i really think you'd be interested in finding out about this hike and why it's so famous/dangerous/difficult.
6:46 came back to halona (i'm honestly not sure why they re-visited the same spots on the island when there are so many things to see here)
6:56* so this is halona cove, located below the lookout and the roadway. there are a lot of people there in the video, but it is still relatively secluded compared to most of the well-known beaches on the island. anyway, around the corner on the left side of the cove, there is a lava tube that shoots up water when the waves crash in, and that's why this place is called blow hole.
7:30 it bothers me they never filmed a MV for Chillax. it's one of their best songs. if they were to film one, it would have to be at a place like this.

alright so, this took way longer to type than i thought it would and i'm honestly exhausted. but these are fun and i like giving commentary for videos about hawaii, so even though it was long, i hope you enjoyed following along as much as i enjoyed typing it. as i addressed in my commentary for the teaser video, and will continue to point out in all these nayeon videos, pointing out locations isn't a safety issue because 1) these videos were recorded a very long time ago and 2) these are well-known spots that anyone in hawaii can find. i wouldn't be tour-guiding like this if it were any risk to the bunny.
* i really love the use of the song Chillax here. not only does it have the right vibe, the lyrics of the song basically embody the philosophy here in the islands. chill and chill and relax lax. but that's not why they chose it for this video; they chose it because nayeon has the chorus lol
