Thank god that trick didn’t give her a $150 for an entire day. That kind of mess screws up the economy.

Cerise, thank you for this excellent vid delivered from the working girls perspective in Sosua. From these stories, I'm certain they apply to other working girls throughout the DR. I've been visiting the DR for 15 years. What I've noticed of late is the mentality of the girls. It appears that many are more time oriented rather than socializing to have a good experience AND still get paid for services. However, I should mention that most of my contacts were in Santo Domingo area. Just an observation. Thanks again, I enjoyed this vid!

It was pretty dumb of the visitors to think they were going to be pardoned for their sloppiness in another country. I went to Sosua for many years, then one year (7 years ago) I ended up there single for the first time... I wasn't interested in pay for play but I had no problem talking to the girls, buying them the odd drink, being friends, etc ... I always loved the vibe that the girls bring to Sosua, and I still do to this day!
One time I hit it off with a girl and said over and over "I don't want sex, I don't pay for sex, I no pay" and all along she said ok ok ok ... but after we hung out in my room and the girl drank my bottle of good booze (no problem, I offered it) she demanded money. When I refused, she tried to hit me with the bottle ... I called security up ... she almost had me arrested because I refused to pay (hotel owner pleaded with me to just pay her, "it's not worth it" he said). In hindsight, I should have just paid to make her go away but at the time I was drunk and furious that she was taking advantage and I was 100% ready to spend the night in jail out of principle. Luckily for me, she saw that I was serious and she walked away.
We were both really drunk. We both made bad decisions. She earned my respect by not making me go to jail when she had the power to make it happen.
These randoms want to be paid for entertaining you even though sex wasn't involved.
Wayne Duclos lots of girls believe that time is money and even though you don't want sex you're still occupying their time and they want compensated for that. A girl wanted me to pay her for going swimming with me. I respectfully declined. I believe they want paid for everything that is time consuming except if you take them out to dinner.

BUT.... they should not expect you to pay for their time without even knowing you are "on the clock" ... that's the scam many of them try to pull. That's bullshit.
Both sides are equal. Great people and scammers. I've watched it closely for many many years.
It's not for me, I learned very quickly from that trip many years ago ... but I still love Sosua, I love the vibe, I love everything about it ... it it's "home" to me.

For every one of these stories I have heard hundreds if not thousands of stories where the girl promised a service and then changed her mind at the last second but still wanted the same fee and then had the nerve to call the police on the gringo.... Or even cut the date short but still wanted the same fee. I am not discounting the story here but fellas just stay on your guard and don't let the "hoe into a housewife" stuff fool you. It is a service and you also should get what you paid for, don't be a fool and start asking for some wifey stuff and don't let her abandon her part of the deal as well.

My experience is when dealing with those what you call working women lay all your cards out in the beginning. Establish a price, let them know what you are looking for. And if they are not in agreement move on. The problem is when men are looking for love. Sosua is a pay to play town. At the same time try to be respectful. After all it is a business arrangement. And like in any business arrangement if you are well taken care of, don’t forget to tip.😉😉

People need to understand that Dominican republic is a beautiful country with beautiful people but it is a poor country with the population of 15 millions and growing with limited opportunities. These women are not working to fall in love but are working for security reasons. The MORE "tricks" understand that the better.

I feel cause most not too educated or knowledgeable of certain things here they rather go make fast money versus getting an actual job learning experience for themselves. And the last thing you want to do is to get the police involved. Somehow it will wind up costing you even more. Look before you leap, and kinda know who you are dealing with in advance.
