Its probably close, I feel the R99 is more consistent, but the Prowler can definitely have some bonkers moments, especially if you land head shots, two full bursts (5 bullet rounds × 22dmg) takes down a Purple Shield.

As an older player who didn’t play games when I was younger, and owns a business and doesn’t really have a lot of time to put into learning the recoil- I definitely like the prowler. That being said I do die alot to the 99.
How are we not including the Volt in this conversation. Personally I prefer the volt to all besides the 99. 99 is 100% the best if you’re hitting your shots.
The wrench is great. It fits Rampart and it has great animations.

How would you rank the volt on this topic? I feel I perform better with the volt than the car. Still a gun that has 2 different ammo types has a lot of potential.
Volt is a better alternator, reliable and easy to shoot but less damage potential than its rivals.
I still really like the volt. It's my favourite to pair with a G7 or other marksman rifles, as you can still reliably use the Volt at slightly longer ranges. If I have an AR then I prefer a higher DPS option like the R99/Prowler/Car
Loved the Prowler with a select fire, least favorite without it.
the hipfire is dumb on it tho or ADS esp on controller its so easy to shred people.... if u like nemesis , no reason not to like prowler - i always said it was OP last season and they buffed it lol

Idk man, when I pull the trigger on the 99 and I start to beam but someone strafes out and my "beam" ends at 45-60 damage I notice the difference. When I pull the trigger on the Prowler and my first burst hits for 75 at LEAST before they move, it just feels better.
I miss select fire. Coming to Apex from Halo as my shooter of choice, the Prowler was my go-to for that Halo Assault Rifle feeling.
R99 then Prowler then CAR for me. I suck at controlling the CAR recoil.
The prowler is garbage. I 1000% haven’t been abusing it since it became floor loot again. But as you said the r9 is still better but the prowler shines in situations.

The past 2 seasons, my best damage games have been with the prowler, its damage output is crazy. If you hit the majority of bursts, you can decimate quick smart.

I personally rate wraith and wattson the best heirlooms in the game simply by animations. When wattson almost drops it when she holsters, it’s the best.
prowler #1 for me rn. Idc about any of the other reasons anyone gives, the 100% hipfire accuracy regardless of laser sight is what sells me on it. Super reliable, if miss a shot it's because you missed

Anyone else getting packet loss issues in the game? Connection is good. Speeds are great. Even upgraded my router and have a wired connection but I'm getting 15-30 packet loss each game. When I flush my DNS the game has 0 packet loss for one game and then it goes back to having packet loss.

I like the car because it's as good as r99 for me and the 2 ammo types is really good. my favourite is the volt though
For me it's r99, car, prowler.. its just not as reliable most of the time with shots hit as 99 and car... 90% of the time I'm hitting everything with car and 99 but with the prowler I feel like its 50/50 everytime I pick it up.. will admit it hits hard when u do hit your shots but for me personally I'm just better with 99 and car
